Maybe the scriptwriters are doing their own version of Nanowrimo. It doesn't matter how improbable it all is, just get those scripts churned out.

StubbleTurnips · 03/12/2015 19:04

red I know, I couldn't brielieve my eyes with all those cheese puns.

SimoneDeBeaver · 03/12/2015 19:14

am getting all stabby at the radio again ...

DSClarke · 03/12/2015 19:14

Why Has no one overheard Rob being a Knob?

DSClarke · 03/12/2015 19:15

Oh FFS!

SimoneDeBeaver · 03/12/2015 19:15

oh it just would bloody be, wouldn't it.

Toomuchtea · 03/12/2015 19:17

Pah . I knew they'd do this, just like they did with the paternity thing.

Gruach · 03/12/2015 19:18

Damn and blast.

ColdTeaAgain · 03/12/2015 19:18

FFS couldn't they have given us one little victory?

StubbleTurnips · 03/12/2015 19:19

Poor Henrys going to be replaced with SOK, he's forever going to be lingering in the hallway playing with his toys shouting 'awwwwright'.

Emmmder2015 · 03/12/2015 19:19

Lurker delurking.

Sorry line would have been better, subtler, if it was a girl. Here we go...

Toomuchtea · 03/12/2015 19:22

Well, now they've done this, how are they going to play it out? Helen's obviously not massively relieved by the news, so why?

Did she want a girl (not convinced about that) - or did she think that if it was a girl, Rob would back off as he wouldn't be so infested in Knobella.

Does she now see the noose tightening even further now she is definitely having a boy?

Gruach · 03/12/2015 19:23

She didn't want another baby at all ...

Toomuchtea · 03/12/2015 19:25

So do you think the whole prospect is so ghastly it completely subsumes any interest in what sex the baby is?

elephantoverthehill · 03/12/2015 19:37

Delurk on this thread. I was cringing whilst cooking. It was so cringeworthy it beats Mr Bean hands down for the cringest.

redshoeblueshoe · 03/12/2015 19:48

Toomuch - I thought she felt the noose tightening too.

AND RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Knob will be even more insufferable now. At least he won't be pushing her down the stairs.

ColdTeaAgain · 03/12/2015 19:50

She didn't want to have another baby yet but if the pregnancy had been a little accident she would of accepted it and been happy. But deep down she knows it wasn't an accident, he raped her. The pregnancy is a constant reminder.

Then the way he has been prancing about like a peacock, his macho sperm would never produce a girl would it?
She desparately wanted it to be a girl so that just for once he wouldn't be right and get his own way.

The "MY boy" says it all, she is merely a vessel and he doesn't give two hoots about Henry and never did. Maybe it will be the way he changes towards Henry that will make her finally see the light.

Toomuchtea · 03/12/2015 19:54

Great name ColdTeaAgain. Happens to me all the time.

My one hope with this is that his completely over the top MY SON attitude will start ringing alarm bells with some of the Bridge Farm lot.

Minimammoth · 03/12/2015 20:01

I don't care anymore, fingers in ears. La la la

AnnieNoMouse · 03/12/2015 20:40

While we're killing off Rob can we kill the Fairbretheren too - obnoxious, twattish poorly written little twerps.

DadDadDad · 03/12/2015 20:46

stubble - I first read your comment as suggesting that Henry was going to start sounding like Michael Barrymore - "alll-wight?"

MarmaladeBasedProtectionRacket · 03/12/2015 20:58

How does Rob think they are going to pay for private antenatal care when he won't go out and get a job?

He's all champagne lifestyle on a beer budget - private health care, presumably private school for the chosen one (not Henry obviously now he'll have "his own" son) hunting and shooting - all well and good if that's your thing, but they can't afford it unless he's up to no good.

It's all going to get so horrible - if anything happens to MY BOY during pregnancy or delivery he'll blame Helen. Then there will be the neglect and likely emotional abuse of Henry when he has "his own" son - surely Pat, Tony and Tom will notice something then, if not before?

gruber · 03/12/2015 21:02

Must de-lurk to help DDD spreadshits! Been listening for about 5 years (just before Helen got pregnant with Henry), reading the thread the last year or so,but really listening all my life as my mother and grandmother listened to TA...I may have inherited a few books from my Grandmother one of many I use to work out who's who

Anyway- what a rubbish scan! Could at least have given Rob the disappointment of it being a girl. And why oh why can't we hear more from Lillian/Tom/Tony et al??

(Goes back to lurking!)

BiscuitMillionaire · 03/12/2015 21:20

Maybe they're playing the long game with the son of Knob story - so it will be all about inheriting Bridge Farm (that's why Knob's so happy to have a son, so he has an heir), a battle with Tom perhaps, or Henry?

It must be weird when thinking up storylines to have to bear in mind that the characters you're creating might still be going in 20 years time.

StubbleTurnips · 03/12/2015 21:29

Dadx3 I wouldn't be surprised with the current script writing.

Although suggesting Henry, after being brought up by Rob, would be anything less that the epitomy of a farming / hunting type is brave Grin
