Is Ed's wedding very soon?

OP posts:
GypsyFloss · 24/05/2015 11:25

Just caught the second half the film and haven't had time to read back. Just wanted to say how much I loved the wedding, the reconciliation , all of it. Made me feel all wobbly . And now I'm worried about Ed n Emmur's safety on their honeymoon... Far too much of " we've got all our lives ahead" stuff!

minkGrundy · 24/05/2015 11:28

I thought so two zero

ZeroFunDame · 24/05/2015 11:58

Are you thinking of Neighbours Gypsy?

I truth I'm still waiting for Brenda mink - though her family has been erased ... (It only needs Roy to find a job in Canada Devon.)

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/05/2015 12:04

Noooooooooooo Gypsy !!!

I hadn't thought like that at all up until now

HapShawl · 24/05/2015 12:46

chris was obviously parking the car or stacking the dishwasher at the wedding

GypsyFloss · 24/05/2015 12:55

I began worrying about the newly weds when Soosan started on about how happy she was that Emma was happy etc after the hen do.

Then they started again with the happy ever after shizz after the wedding. Willyum and Ed reconciled, no kids with them, the rest of their lives together... I would be devastated if they did something so awful to Ed .

ZeroFunDame · 24/05/2015 12:57

I'm not sure Susan would have "almost an Aldridge" Chris - who hobnobs with Lord Thingy and Major General Wotsit - doing all the lowly jobs at the wedding. Grin She'd want him front and centre, hanging out with Brian and Jenny.

ZeroFunDame · 24/05/2015 12:59

In fact, it's surprising that the tearful DM/DD conversation the day before didn't include anything from Susan about how both her children would now be respectably married off.

GypsyFloss · 24/05/2015 13:00

I also really liked the Charlie/Rob interface. God I hope Knob comes to a dishonourable end. But I still stand by my belief that when the going gets hot he's just going to leg it!

I too didn't know it was Tom until he said Bridge Farm. I thought it was one of the Fairbrethren. This is one of the main reasons , other than becoming a box set tart, for not listening daily at the moment. I hate having to guess wtf is talking.

R4 · 24/05/2015 13:08

We did have a clear-up chat with Jazzer. I forget who he was talking to. Jim?
Apparently he Doesn't Do Weddings, doesn't approve of them. Therefore he couldn't be BM. It's a pathetic excuse - you'd think he's get over it for his bezzy mate - but the Plot Mechanisms Department had more important fish to fry.

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/05/2015 14:17

Now that the Grundy feud has been put to bed, and given SOC's predilection for history repeating itself, there is a space for another decade-long brotherly rivalry over a woman torn between two lovers

Kenton and Deeevid over Roooth/J'leen?

or

Rover and Tubby over Peep?

Poss Chipolata Boy and RichJohn over ...?

Any other brothers I've forgotten?

ZeroFunDame · 24/05/2015 14:48
Grin

'Cept Tom and RJ aren't brothers - and I can't see them ever liking the same woman.

There's plenty of time for Josh v Ben ...

But yes - the Grundys have been shelved for the newbies. One hopes they'll tell a new story.

oddfodd · 24/05/2015 17:02

Well clearly it's going to be the not-so-Fair Brothers? Is that why they've been wheeled on stage left?

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/05/2015 17:33

'Cept Tom and RJ aren't brothers

GAH!!!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/05/2015 17:34

i suspect a lust filled liaison between pip and Toby (praying for zero audio evidence), pip dumped and seeks solace in arms of dependable rexy boy

One of the boys will be just like his father

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/05/2015 17:36

And if any sw are reason, if you even think of cougar lizzie and a fair brother.......

ErrolTheDragon · 24/05/2015 17:36

GrinRover and Tubby.

HapShawl · 24/05/2015 17:38

Sorry zero - my sarcasm didn't come across - I was harking back to that episode when Alice and Chris went to home farm for lunch and chris was always in the other room. I don't actually think he was doing that at te wedding Grin

HapShawl · 24/05/2015 17:40

I can't even tolerate imagining that scene of heavy petting BYOS. Hearing it broadcast... Just no

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/05/2015 17:51

In my head I refer to them as Rover and Tubby Bearfrother, Errol.

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/05/2015 17:52

Hap did you ever hear the infamous shower scene?

oddfodd · 24/05/2015 18:01

The shower scene!! ShockShockShockShockShockShock

Not enough brain bleach in the world

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/05/2015 18:02

Found a tiny clip of it! Grin

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01ht2zr

HapShawl · 24/05/2015 18:49

I didn't hear it "live" as was in a non-listening period but it was well-reported elsewhere (complaints iirc?) so I heard it anyway!

GypsyFloss · 24/05/2015 18:50

Grin Bore . As I've missed loads recently, are your names related to their initials or have they displayed roving and tubby characteristics?
