Is Ed's wedding very soon?

OP posts:

Emma has definitely changed for the better.

Really impressed with Will.

Would have been slightly improved if I had recognised Tom at the start.

Anyway. HURRAH!

They're married. Smile

stilllearnin · 22/05/2015 19:17

Hooray!

minkGrundy · 22/05/2015 19:18

Was it me or was Ed a bit grumpy at the start. Well done Will. I never enjoyed the self righteous whininess.

But what about Clarrie's dress?

Iwantacampervan · 22/05/2015 19:20

Cockles warmed ...to quote the CA! The last Archers wedding I felt sentimental over was Lizzie and Nigel's - Ed had better not climb any tall buildings!
Tom is not yet recognisable - I thought at first it was Charlie givng the gift.

dairyfarmerswife · 22/05/2015 19:22

Ha, yes zero I wondered why Charlie was giving End a wedding present until he said it was from all at Bridge Farm.

But still, a lovely lovely wedding, and great reconciliation. Will have to listen again, the dcs kept talking while End and Will were making up.

ZeroFunDame · 22/05/2015 19:25

Trying to count the cast:

Will, Ed, Emma, Joe, Neil, Tom, Clarrie ...

Who else?

BitOutOfPractice · 22/05/2015 19:30

I loved that. I blubbed

I could always understand why Will was so angry. After all, his brother shagged his fiancée a few days before his wedding. That's pretty bad.

But I'm glad they've made up

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 22/05/2015 19:31

William, Ed, Tom, Emma, Joe, Neil, George, Keira, Clarrie

From Lowfield

BOOP, I blubbed just reading the synopsis BlushGrin

BitOutOfPractice · 22/05/2015 19:37

Didn't george and Kiera cheer from the trap?

minkGrundy · 22/05/2015 19:41

And Alan said something didn't he?

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/05/2015 19:47

Might have had something in my eye there.

'Twas lovely

Welshwabbit · 22/05/2015 20:57

Really lovely episode. Well done, Mary Cutler. Sniffled at least 3 times.

mummytime · 22/05/2015 21:15

It was a lovely episode I heard it in the car and had to give DD (16) a synopsis on the background to some of Will's lines :)

R4 · 22/05/2015 21:47

Oh that was BOOPy.Smile
Did I get the hint that Ed's luck is finally going to change. Hurrah!

ErrolTheDragon · 22/05/2015 22:23

Ahhh - that was lovely. And they did have Tom - slightly alarmed with Neil in the churchyard that things might go pearshaped, and then rather wistful later on.

Presumably Clarrie was happy with her dress. I think the point of that was everyone was trying to think what Ed&Em really would appreciate - not material possessions, even though they're not well off, not something to be ticked off from a list at Underwoods.

dairyfarmerswife · 22/05/2015 22:45

I thought we heard Eddie and Nic too, during the speeches.

ErrolTheDragon · 23/05/2015 00:18

Yes, they were there (I listened to it again??)

Bea · 23/05/2015 00:30

I was scared that will was putting on an act!... And was desperate for it to end on a happy note!!
A lovely ep... After all the misery!
However they've gone and put an end to will and eds feuding after all these years... And given us "betrayed" I'm-acting-like-a-toddler kenton and dave! Argghh!

Merse · 23/05/2015 08:13

A thousand hurrahs. I shed a tear….

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 23/05/2015 08:32

I loved it. Good for Nic, who got Will to see sense finally! Yes, he was very badly wronged, but he was harming himself more than anyone by hanging onto all that resentment and as he finally admitted himself he and Em are both a lot happier apart than they ever were together.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 23/05/2015 09:41

I find the whole attitude to will odd. If he went on te relationships board people wouldn't tell him he was only hurting himself by holding into resentment! The reason they were unhappy together was that she was in love with another man and should never have married him.

I have a friend who married someone she didn't love and ended up running off with someone else because it made he happy. Her ex is a shell of a man and 30 years on is still pained to see her as it brings back horrible feelings from the time. Yes it would be better for him to move on and forgive but I don't blame him for feeling he can't.

Also, ed and will have never got on- even before the Emma situation - so if they suddenly become best buds it would be odd.

BertrandRussell · 23/05/2015 10:09

It took me a while to work out why Charlie was giving Ed a wedding present.............

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 23/05/2015 10:12

Mmm, but BYOS, Will's situation is different from your friend's, because Will has married and now has a very happy family life.

I don't think E and W will become best buds, but if they stop sniping at each other all the time it would be nice.
