Deluged damp squid or not? And has Peggy been assisted off the mortal coil by Rob yet?
And when will JD and Brian remember Debbie?

"Whatever's wrong Rob, you normally wolf down my salmon 'n' pasta?" (boak)

Help me out here. I remember the dressed salmon as centrepiece of Jess's housewarming party, and how it hit the deck. But wasn't there some other scene involving salmon, where he suddenly claimed an allergy or deep loathing or something, oh oh take it away even the smell...? But was that with Helen or Jess? Is it a subtle SW reminder of his gaslighting ways?

JessieMcJessie · 26/03/2015 17:04

Tuna.

ppeatfruit · 26/03/2015 17:12

Sorry jessie it was salmon. Grin I thought the same as puddock Grin

ChopperGordino · 26/03/2015 17:16

no i'm pretty sure it was tuna - she told him she would be doing a tuna pasta thing on the phone, and then he came home and threw a strop because he loathes tuna

ppeatfruit · 26/03/2015 17:24

Yes sorry Blush he went weird another time about a tuna bake but it was salmon pasta last night (whew). !!

ppeatfruit · 26/03/2015 17:36

Nearly got into a pasta fight there Grin

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 26/03/2015 19:08

Brian gets the best lines!

ChopperGordino · 26/03/2015 19:10
Grin

i suspect the recurring fish theme is a SW joke

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 26/03/2015 19:11

Panto villain hazel makes her appearance then. I hope they don't overdo it like they are starting to do with Kate

I guess the shop will get sold off now as she will say the community shop isn't needed there.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 26/03/2015 19:15

Newtom seems to be changing his voice - he's dropping letters all over the place

I guess we are going to be hearing a lot more about hazel.

R4 · 26/03/2015 19:19

O for goodness sake! Another pantomime baddie?Hmm

Why do I have such a problem with NewTom? Every time I hear him I wonder who he is. I can only work it out by context or if someone mentions his name.

DoctorTwo · 26/03/2015 20:29

I think the actor playing Rob is really believable, and Harrison is a lucky bloke. The Fallon I hear in my head is stunning. :o

LaundryFairy · 26/03/2015 22:08

For those of you who may not have heard it, Radio 4 in 4 has a clip of John Finnemore's sketch about what The Archers sounds like to those who don't normally listen to it. Wonderful stuff!

ConstanceMoan · 26/03/2015 22:41

Grin very funny! Laundry - thanks!

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 26/03/2015 22:45

@Icimoi

Olivia, your link doesn't lead anywhere?

Doh!
Twas a silly ref to Adam's "I was farming in Africaaaaaaaa."
I did NOT like the meeting. Haven't heard tonight's yet.

ErrolTheDragon · 26/03/2015 22:55

The one good thing you can say about Hazel is that Peggy improves by comparison. She was overdue to reappear but a slightly more credible excuse to bother Peggy would have been good.

So Tom is reminded of how nice KIrsty is.

Bluestocking · 26/03/2015 23:03

I think Adam is more like .

BrightBlowsTheBroom · 26/03/2015 23:35

The Fallon I hear in my head is stunning
Yes I agree.

Peggy is much improved when placed next to Hazel.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 26/03/2015 23:39

Really? I don't hear stunning, I hear deeply annoying!!!!

timetosmile · 27/03/2015 06:32

laundry that was great..thanks for the link!!

JessieMcJessie · 27/03/2015 07:12

I agree that the SWs make fish references in relation to Rob as a long-running joke. My "tuna" upthread was indeed a very concise confirmation that it was tuna he hated, not salmon. But we all remember the dressed salmon disaster at Jess' party; perhaps Rob was thinking of it too when he failed to scoff Helen's disgusting-sounding oniony fish dish.

I am an episode behind. I rather liked David's speech at the village meeting, it was a neat way for him to make a public announcement that they were staying. I'm not sure that the councillors have much control over how land is farmed though. Rob seemed, for once, to have a sensible answer to the accusations of megadairy maize causing erosion, but I think that he could have made his point a bit less arrogantly.

PseudoBadger · 27/03/2015 08:02

Maybe the SWs should scale back on the fish references?

R4 · 27/03/2015 08:11

They are a dab hand at it, though.

PseudoBadger · 27/03/2015 08:12

In fact they're brill.
