Deluged damp squid or not? And has Peggy been assisted off the mortal coil by Rob yet?
And when will JD and Brian remember Debbie?

OP posts:

Elephants - oh, I don't know - might be quite fun if Rob tried it on with Kirsty, she'd probably deck him.

minkGrundy · 18/03/2015 23:33

I am looking forwards to congratulating you on your foresight on a far flung future thread errol.

Bitterns though. Quite a shy and retiring bird of borcetshire. (Or are they ninja?)

ErrolTheDragon · 18/03/2015 23:36

Maybe not bitterns. Those cranes they've started releasing in the south-west look like they could do some damage, I'm sure they'll have spread to Borsetshire before long. Or one of those wild boar (there was a wild boar a few years ago wasn't there?).

minkGrundy · 18/03/2015 23:39

The more I think about Bitterns though...they are very difficult to spot. Like ninjas.
Nobody expects to be killed by a bittern. Which is exactly why they might make a perfect assassin. And also an opportunity for a really good TA sound effect/melodramatic shriek.

Isn't that water rails? Grin

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 18/03/2015 23:47

Bitterns BOOM, don't they?

(Or is that dodos?)

minkGrundy · 18/03/2015 23:58

I was thinking of Patrick giving a Nigel/Kirsty style "arrrrrgh I've been got by a bittern. Quick note it down in my copy of birds of borcetshire gurgle" but poignantly it is his final BoB tick to complete the set.

enochroot · 19/03/2015 02:09

I wonder where Bitten by Bittern ranks in actuarial tables.

(I'm testing for the presence of DadDadDad.)

LillianGish · 19/03/2015 05:37

I think DadDadDad has given up MN for Lent which is shame since we could do with an actuary with all these insurance settlements to sort out.

Eastpoint · 19/03/2015 05:52

Very irritating Lynda mispronouncing rapport - she just wouldn't.

Bluestocking · 19/03/2015 07:10

I didn't think she mispronounced it - she just gave it a Lynda twist!
How would you pronounce rapport?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/03/2015 08:04

It's ra-pore isn't it?

Missed last night but from the lack of posts I guess it wasn't that exciting!!

ErrolTheDragon · 19/03/2015 08:16

Not much happened, but a few future events were organised.

ppeatfruit · 19/03/2015 09:09

Trevor IMO Jo doesn't wear the onsie as a fashion statement; he has few clothes left after the flood and needed a cosy version of longjohns so sorted!! Grin I do reckon Clarrie might 've had something to say about their suitability for GG though Grin.

A Star for the moment when Dave tells Linda that they're staying (I choked up over that).

ChairOfTheBored · 19/03/2015 09:46

After lurking for a long old time (I love these threads almost as much as (more?) than TA itself) I have been finally drawn out to announce my absolute love for the recent 'BOOP' highlights:

Kenton's rage
Lynda's return to Lynda-like form, and the conversation between her and Alan ( I think?) last night - proper vicaring there, finding something to get her engaged and pull her out of her slough of despond. It was just so in-keeping with the two characters, and as I've always had a soft spot for Lynda, it made me v happy indeed to hear.

squeaver · 19/03/2015 10:46

I agree, Chair, I thought it was nice that they took the time to show Lynda getting back to her old self with a Project.

All we need now is for Scruff to be a Lassie-like hero when they're reunited. "What's that, Scruff, the culverts were blocked because Rob the Knob didn't maintain them properly? Yes, let's get onto the Echo right away!"

metro.co.uk/2011/02/08/jose-luis-ochoa-killed-by-knife-wielding-cock-637654/
maybe bitterns are even more deadly?..

LillianGish · 19/03/2015 12:04

Welcome on board (or should that be bored Grin) chair. Like you, I enjoy this thread as much (if not more than) TA itself. In fact it was my inability to give up this thread that kept me listening through the whole moving up north debacle (not sure how DadDadDad is managing with his Lenten abstinence. I suspect he may be sneakily lurking and I'm wondering what sort of provocative outrage we need to post to get him to out himself).

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/03/2015 12:48

So don't know if any of you have been following the New Zealand X factor scandal but that singer who no ones heard of played Amy franks!! Guess she might be begging to come back as her music career is apparently over (if it had ever started - although being out of touch maybe it had!)

Nobody expects to be killed by a bittern.

One of the best things I've ever read on MN!

squeaver · 19/03/2015 13:01

Ruth Patrick

I think he might come back soon to assess damage. Maybe HE'LL find Scruff??

ZeroFunDame · 19/03/2015 13:08

BYOS D'you know how much googling you've made me do?Angry

Fascinating ... But it was only til 2003,or in 2003, as that was the year the Franks arrived in Ambridge. How old would Amy have been then?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/03/2015 13:22

I clearly did less googling than you!!

I just liked the fact it said 'her background is an acting with roles in x, y and The Archers'. Seems at odds with her style!!!

PetulaGordino · 19/03/2015 13:37

caught you all up

(almost - still haven't heard yesterday's)
