mink - when Ruth was talking to Usha, there was a lot of discussion - from them both - about "ups and downs" in their marriage and "neither of us have been perfect". Can't think of anything other time that Ruth has actually ever admitted she might have been wrong about something..!

I agreed with the latter and expressed pleasure at the prospect of the former. She then told me I was very bad! Having said that , being of farming stock , she's resolutely on David's side.

My theory is that Heather will " have a fall" while Ruth is there, and be dead within weeks. David comes to comfort Ruth and all is forgiven. Ruth's inheritance cones in handy to bail out Kenton etc. And all is forgotten... But what about the road? The road fairy will sort that out.
