Rejoice, for the Dopeys are staying in Ambridge to feast on Oedipal flapjacks. Or at least David is. Discuss The Archers here.

Will Peggy make it to the end of this thread?

Golly is that a sound I hear from Freda?

Stickerrocks · 03/03/2015 19:15

Praying that we've just seen the demise of Rob, but not really hopeful.

CuttedUpPear · 03/03/2015 19:15

how fecking ridiculous

I admit I did giggle through part of that ...

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 03/03/2015 19:18

60 years and Freda's never muttered a sound. Until now. Wrong wrong wrong.

And Why has Ambridge flooded when it's not even rained in most of the country today? Let alone heavenly deluges and biblical floods.

Soc needs to be sacked.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 03/03/2015 19:19

If the high in the hill church floods then it will surely be in bullshit

But aren't they clever having live tweets from residents and weather forecasts and all this interaction. Meh, I just want 15 mins of light entertainment so I can wind down of an evening.

Halsall · 03/03/2015 19:20

I've just flipped over to BBC2 in disgust and the current episode of 'Wanted in Paradise' an even more pathetic spin-off of 'Wanted Down Under features people wanting to relocate to.....Costa Rica.

I suspect a few of the Archers cast might actually not mind joining them if the current ludicrous storyline drags on much longer.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 03/03/2015 19:20

Freda was making some little gurgling noises. I could be wrong but I don't think an actor, trained or otherwise, will have been paid to do that.

How many cast members were involved tonight? It felt like almost all of them. Alistair, Christine and Alan for the first time in aeons! Goodness me. Fourth night of flood tomorrow. Very confusing.

TopazRocks · 03/03/2015 19:20

Oh dear, did Freda speak?! The bungalow is very near Am too. And was that Alistair not at a conference? I am still quite confused, but it was all a tad uber-dramatic. We need aftermath now ....

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 03/03/2015 19:21

So soc is waiting until after this to go on feedback. Probably thinks it will be a triumph and everyone will hail him as the genius only he and his mum actually think he is

Panzee · 03/03/2015 19:21

I enjoyed it. :)

Icimoi · 03/03/2015 19:23

Oh dear, now we're going to have Helen in hysterics and Knob guilt-tripping her because if it wasn't for her insistence he wouldn't have been in the bloody boat in the first place. Let's hope that Alistair lets the world know that the reality is that he was being generally useless and probably hit his head in his desperation to get out of doing anything useful.

GypsyFloss · 03/03/2015 19:24

I'm enjoying it too.

enochroot · 03/03/2015 19:24

Freda sort of groaned and squeaked!

I'll have to LA. I couldn't understand what was going on. Is Rob dead?
What about Pip?

GypsyFloss · 03/03/2015 19:25

Maybe he just won't come back Ici. Not drowned but legged it.

TopazRocks · 03/03/2015 19:25

Maybe the gurgles were Freda's swan song? Bert will find solace in bloody Carol. Sad Was she the bitch cow at the beginning tonight? aargh, I am hooked but hate the silliness of SLs.

Iwantacampervan · 03/03/2015 19:26

Stretching the budget with all those characters tonight even though some only had one line. Far too messy and no sense of time - Rob seemed to get to the stables, sort out horses etc in 5 minutes. Have just realised wht Aunty cardboard was at the Stables - she was eating cottage pie (but wasn't that supposed to be the next day?)

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 03/03/2015 19:26

I enjoyed it too but I'll be glad if we can get back to some sort of normality soon.

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 03/03/2015 19:26

I can't believe that it would have happened SO quickly that the water at Shula's was up the stairs. There was flooding overnight near me last year (made the national news, and we're in the SE, not on the levels or anything)but that they're all singing Dollly Parton one minute and utterly unpassable the next
Can not believe that David hasn't tried to phone Ruth or Pip in that ep either!
Do we have a tx date for this famous ep of Feedback that SOC will apparently be on!??!

R4 · 03/03/2015 19:26

That was awful.
Fifteen minutes of "Jill/Freda/Hilary/Christine/every villager you can name (and the dog)!!!! Are you alright?"
Awful.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 03/03/2015 19:27

The timeline has been updated.

J62 · 03/03/2015 19:28

Yes agree ludicrous. But hope Peggy and cat okay.

GypsyFloss · 03/03/2015 19:28

We didn't hear anything from Pip tonight. David was busy rescuing people in his trailer so I don't know if that means he went back to the farm and checked she was ok or not.

ZeroFunDame · 03/03/2015 19:29

Updated flood timeline. Scroll right down. If you can control your heartless laughter for long enough ...
