It's all getting rather delicious. I feel sorry for Kenton the fool

Olivia, JE wouldn't have any claim against the Dopeys as they don't seem to have exchanged contracts. On the other hand, he is not going to be a happy man, and I don't imagine he's a person you really want to cross.

However, the whole exercise is going to be very expensive. Apart from the solicitors' surveyors' and estate agents' fees, and the claim that the robotic milking parlour builders have against them, there's bound to be a lot of incidentals like the costs of constantly bombing up and down the motorway. And you can bet that Kenton will be demanding that Dave cough up for his luxury holiday in Australia, though I do think Dave could reasonably tell him he shouldn't have counted his chickens so early.

enochroot · 21/02/2015 18:10

Likewise, Justin has engaged the services of an expensive architect prematurely.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 21/02/2015 18:33

Rhys seemed a top fella but caught The Gay (recurring, it would appear) whilst mid way through a road trip to Edinburgh.

That was Harry. It mostly happened on Amex, I think. In reaction Fallon and Jazzer had a ONS. That was definitely on Amex. I heard tell of it and made a rare foray into the Amex episodes on i-player to catch up. Has it ever been mentioned properly, ie on the R4 programmes?

Minimammoth · 21/02/2015 18:52

I have yet to catch up on last nights. Lots of interesting possibilities, I am rarely right, but I am imaginative.

GypsyFloss · 21/02/2015 18:52

I reckon this is the only thread that gets a box intervention that isn't actually an 'ahem' Smile

TopazRocks · 21/02/2015 19:03

Yes, we are very honoured to get our own very special 'box interventions, aren't we? Does Olivia use the 'ahem' with Peace and Love and sibs too, do you think?Smile

Was Rhys the one who caught up with his gay past, or was that not a previous lover of Fallon's? Hard to remember but thanks for the reminders.

Kirk1 · 21/02/2015 19:41

Wow, I stopped listening for a month or two and everything is gone mad! Can somebody tell me:
What happened to Tony? He's had an accident and it was bad, but that's all the detail I've managed to glean.
Tom is back! Any reason for this, has he decided the dust is settled enough. Did he let on that it was Rob got him out of the way in the first place?
When did Kate come back? She's so irritating I want to slap her every time she opens her mouth. Please tell me she's not back for long, surely she will get wanderlust again and piss off to the jungle with one of the nice young men from her course :p

GypsyFloss · 21/02/2015 19:45

Harry was the one who rediscovered himself when the van that he, Jazzer and Fallon were travelling in handily broke down near the cottage where his old boyfriend lived. Harry spent the night rekindling his passion for whatever his name was and Jazzer and Fallon had a ONS.

I used to listen to Amex podcasts whilst throwing tennis balls for our two bigger dogs on the local football field. Amex and that field are inextricably linked in my head forever. I listened to some truly dire stuff there!

GypsyFloss · 21/02/2015 19:51

Welcome back Kirk1

Tony was gored by his bull Otto, who charged when he got spooked by Damien...I mean Henry. He was very ill ? Spinal injury , stayed silent for some time and then recovered his voice without the slightest slur or wheeze or anything to hint that he'd nearly died. Pat and Peggy did big emotional shizz over his bed side and he still recovered Grin

We think Tom got called back but he had to trek over many mountains to get there so he took ages . He came back with a new voice so he could blend into the village and be indistinguishable from all the other new lovies.

Kate. Who knows? She's back causing chaos as only she can. She's certainly good value but if she ends up shagging Rotaboy again I'll be mightily miffed.

guineapiglet · 21/02/2015 19:52

I may be wrong (Grin) but legally I think Roy could really put the spanner in the works re Abbie..if they go for a divorce I think Roy could contest Hayley's right to move Abbie away from Ambridge permanently without his permission or agreement..he has a right to regular access and an ongoing relationship with Abbie and critically Hayley doesn't have a job or her own house (yet) in Brum. He could get very naaaaaasty........ And then maybe Hayley would have to come back permanently to Ambridge!

ZeroFunDame · 21/02/2015 20:14

Roy fighting over a child again?

Sad
BuildYourOwnSnowman · 21/02/2015 20:26

Zero - I had a lucky prediction on rob not having actually invited his parents a few threads back - not sure I've got much else right (predicting the Brookfield debacle doesn't count because it is so predictable!)

ZeroFunDame · 21/02/2015 20:35

That's the thing - the plots are either completely predictable or so far outside the realms of logic and natural storytelling that they can hardly be called plots at all ...

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 21/02/2015 21:00

Agree!

minkGrundy · 21/02/2015 21:15

Jazzer fancied Fallon. She KB'd him. Think she had on of thing with band member.
Fallon fancied Harry. Harry was bi. He was seeing the picker Jazzer fancied then his bf old flame. F and J had on night stand.

Fallon went out with Rhys the barman with whom she had a very good rapport. He split up with her to go home but she caught a week later in a club with another woman. She kicked off and was arrested by PC Burns.

Mimsy you are right
I think I heard that bit of storyline when I bravely volunteered to go over to Amex and was reporting back to these threads.

enochroot · 21/02/2015 22:54

Was Harry the milkman Jazzer shared a flat with for a while? I thought he was known to be gay and I've never listened to Amex.

enochroot · 21/02/2015 23:13

Pipperoo Add Lillian to your list because Kenton and Jolene won't be able to buy her share of The Bull.
Indirectly therefore Brian might also be narked though he could get David out of financial difficulties by buying up the land on the wrong side of the road.

People who will be pleased are Eddie who will keep is job and Bert and Freda who will stop worrying about their bungalow and Freda can lay off pontefract cakes.
Also Rob will enjoy the schadenfreude.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 21/02/2015 23:24

I don't believe the road will go ahead.

Add to that Meriel who will be deprived of the vast trust fund Kenton has decided to provide her with. Her brave, doting dad has probably already told her exactly how rich she should expect to become on her 18th birthday ...

LuluJakey1 · 22/02/2015 00:23

I thought Heatherpet had a farm in Prudhoe? Is that not right? She and Ruth's dad were farmers weren't they? Why do Ruth and David need to buy Hadleyheugh anyway if that is the case?

I don't like Hayley, I don't know why. Or Roy.

Feel sorry for Dave'eed but the shit will hit the fan this week. I don't think legally JE can do anything to recoup money spent on architects, if they change their minds. Lizzie and Shula will be upset but Jill will be staying which might offset that a bit for them. I think Kenton will be most upset and Pip. Ruth will forgive him after a while, when the bypass is knocked on the head and Heatherpet dies anyway. Maybe Heatherpet will leave them her farm which they will sell and buy the others out of Brookfield with the funds from.

Bluestocking · 22/02/2015 00:26

I'm pretty sure Heatherpet and the late Solly weren't farmers. Wasn't Solly a toilet paper magnate? Or am I imagining things?
