With HellRob, It's the whole "I wanted our night to be special"
What Valentine's? When you're going dancing in the pub?

DadDadDad · 17/02/2015 14:37

Ppeatfruit - you asked if this is the fastest thread on MN. Not particularly, it's chugging along at its usual 60 or 70 posts per day.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 17/02/2015 14:47

Sorry Blush

ppeatfruit · 17/02/2015 16:41

It's ok Luis you weren't to know! Grin .

Thanks Dadx3 So how many long term threads like ours are faster? ,If you can be bothered to look Grin

Olivia You must go to very sophisticated dos if you don't reckon a 40s dress up dance is not going to be a bit special !

Hadron21 · 17/02/2015 16:45

Just checking in to say I can't believe how casual Adam has been over thus Charlie business.
Everyone in that family must share the straying gene.

DadDadDad · 17/02/2015 17:12

ppeatfruit - ah, but now you have slipped the word "long-term". I don't think there are that many serial threads on MN, so you are probably right that this is one of the fastest-running on that basis.

I couldn't be bothered to look really, but for example there's a parking thread on AIBU that since Saturday has averaged 115 posts per day. But again, can't see much to compare with this thread for sustained posting over several weeks.

ppeatfruit · 17/02/2015 17:45

Several months surely if not years? I mean Olivia's little one (ones) are over a year now and we'd been going before they were born. !

Alsoflamingo · 17/02/2015 18:11

LOVE thread title idea, BoreofB

enochroot · 17/02/2015 18:14

Hadron has a point.
I wonder how much phoebe knows about the chequered history of all the people she now lives with.

enochroot · 17/02/2015 18:24

I hope tonight Rob is moaning about not being served Steak Diane but he could just as easily be in fully supportive partner mode and mess with our heads still more.

DadDadDad · 17/02/2015 18:28

ppeatfruit - my data goes back to 24 April 2013 but back then posting rates were low (under 20 per day). It really took off at the beginning of 2014.

But if my data is correct, starting from that date in 2013, this is the 24,445th post on this sequence of threads! Shock

(Pedants - data can be treated as a singular noun, so please don't write in)

DadDadDad · 17/02/2015 18:29

Cross-post, so mine is actually 24,446th...

enochroot · 17/02/2015 18:54

"The Ambridge mega thread. We have our very own radio celebrity! Join us to discuss chilli as an aphrodisiac and the here-today-gone-tomorrow farm that is Brookfield."

nauticant · 17/02/2015 19:09

Fast moving threads often reach 1000 posts with more than half of them being marking place (a personal bugbear of mine).

These threads are far above such inferior posting habits.

ZeroFunDame · 17/02/2015 19:17

Nice ending there ...

Surely the SWs aren't planning on separating the Tuckers?

ErrolTheDragon · 17/02/2015 19:19

Glad Ed got a decent price - would anyone really sell up a herd quite that quickly though?

funambulist · 17/02/2015 19:21

Do I hear the grind of gears as numerous story-lines go into reverse?

It really does look like SOC has been told to abandon various plots.

Nasty Rob is being nice, David has changed his mind about moving, Mike is rethinking his move, poverty stricken Ed is flush with cash, Hayley is considering returning to Ambridge, Phoebe has (more or less) forgiven Roy, Kate has become a smidgeon less selfish, the Save Campaign is going from strength to strength.

ErrolTheDragon · 17/02/2015 19:29

Oh, surely no one in their right minds would have told SOC to make Rob or Kate nicer! But I don't think either is actually reforming, fortunately. And we've been predicting the non-move of Brookfield for months, I don't think that's a gear crash.

Wonder what the CA meant after the episode tonight?

mummytime · 17/02/2015 19:32

I loved Mike's last line.

I don't think Rob is becoming nice, he's just being nicer to Helen for a bit (he only attacked the Sab last week).

And if other storylines go into reverse - well there will be a lot of fall out if David doesn't go north. Hazel hasn't really done anything yet. What will Justin's reaction be if he doesn't get Brookfield after all? And there haven't been real consequences too much yet from Matt going - and why then? Is something about to happen.
Never mind the sink hole.

nauticant · 17/02/2015 19:33

Do I hear the grind of gears as numerous story-lines go into reverse?

I've had exactly the same thought over this week.

enochroot · 17/02/2015 19:40

Justin can have the Dower House which Lillian will have to sell if Kenton doesn't get the money to buy her out of the Bull.
Mike is going to sell off his machinery to Brookfield so milk can be bottled there because David has changed his mind.
Hayley is going to come back and became a TA at the local primary school so Vicky will decide that Bethany will be OK there.
Ed is going to become rich.

GypsyFloss · 17/02/2015 19:53

I do like the way that the storylines are beginning to come to something.

In a wkaeful moment in the night I was thinking about Shula lying because I thought it was a bit out of character too. But then I thought that that her morality has always been rather...erm...flexible eg affair with the doctor, she was an utter bitch to Usher when she married Alan etc. So maybe it's not so out of character

Thanks for the new thread by the way

And I'm BOOPing Jim in general at the moment. Love him!
