As tribute to the best SL at the moment...

BTW, I wasn't casting aspersions on anyone else's 'luvvy duvvy' talk. It's only Helen and Rob I find affected, and they aren't real. And Shula does it but her voice annoys me - and she's not real either. Grin

R4 · 16/02/2015 21:25

I totally agree. Brine and Eddie manage to make 'JennyDarling' and 'ClarrieLuv' sound normal. In contrast, Helen and Rob are affected in everything they say, they are abnormally polite and restrained. When was the last time you heard laughter at Blossom Hill Cottage?Sad

florentina boring is good. We need more boring and less drama. IMO

Minimammoth · 16/02/2015 22:10

I am holding out for Hayley and Rotaboy though.

ZeroFunDame · 16/02/2015 23:13

BOOPs for a very un-boring episode.Wink Simmering tension at Brookfield and new beginnings at Home Farm. Although one gentle pep talk from Jenny probably won't be enough to drag Kate totally up to her biological age.

PseudoBadger · 16/02/2015 23:44

Great episode I thought. David getting 'meaning' from the Ed conversation. I don't think he'll buy Ed's herd, but he knows the feeling Ed was speaking of and it's reaching a climax. I predict only one Dopey in Ambridge...

I must say I thought it was a good episode - clearly moving towards a conclusion on Brookfield, and Pat talking some sense into Kate. The one thing I felt was missing was that when Kate talked about Roy's grubby little affair, Pat should have pointed out that her own was no less grubby.

CuttedUpPear · 17/02/2015 07:08

Do you mean Pat ici ? Or Jenny? My listening was a bit interrupted.

Minimammoth · 17/02/2015 07:58

I also like new thread title Pseudo, off to catch up now.

mummytime · 17/02/2015 08:30

I wonder if Rob has read this and spluttered over his cornflakes. If Jess waits until September a judge can order him to have a DNA test.

50 Grades of Hay
A romp in the dairy with unusual uses for the milking equipment.

ZeroFunDame · 17/02/2015 08:51

Love that LuisGrin

trevortrevorslattery · 17/02/2015 09:03

BOOP for "the monstrous regiment". Classic Brine!

ppeatfruit · 17/02/2015 09:42

I don't get easily riled but I am getting very fed up with the referrals to that stupid S&M book that is now a film (i'm not saying the title). It is ubiquitous on the radio as well Angry sorry about the rant Blush

Ici Not Pat, Jennifer is Kate's mum and I even felt sightly sorry for kate after the penny dropped clunkily into her dim consciousness that she'd been overdoing it with Feebs.

OddFodd · 17/02/2015 10:00

You're very kind ppeafruit - I just thought it was about time her monstrous ego had a bit of a shake. And totally agree with you re that film. Had to turn off WH yesterday morning!

GypsyFloss · 17/02/2015 10:19

Just caught up on last night. That was a busy old episode. Now how long before Daveed tells Ruth he's not for moving?

R4 · 17/02/2015 10:27

I agree about the thread title although the puns are funny. Without wanting to sound too po-faced, I don't want to give the book/film any more oxygen of publicity.
I like the suggestion of an homage to CUP.

Icimoi · 17/02/2015 10:42

Sorry, it was indeed JD talking sense to Kate, not Pat. That'll teach me to post after midnight.

ZeroFunDame · 17/02/2015 11:09

The Theory Of Everything Being Better On A Traditional Farm? (For ppeat and R4)

TheMShip · 17/02/2015 11:14

thread title suggestion?

CUPs of tea all round for Feb feedback! Should Dopeys stay or should they go now? If they go there will be trouble ... if they stay it will be double.

ZeroFunDame · 17/02/2015 11:20

Cutted Up Farm? (then *MShip's bit: ) If They Go There Will Be Trouble ... If They Stay It Will Be Double?

Grin
ppeatfruit · 17/02/2015 12:04

Yaaay , thanks R4 Grin and Zero

As you all know I'm not usually po faced it's just giving publicity to it! It's not worth it!!!!

Now I will shut up.

OMG are we nearly on 1000? Is this the fastest thread on MN I wonder?

songbird · 17/02/2015 12:18

After being initially amused by the punnage, I'm leaning more towards Zero and TheMShip's suggestion for the new thread. Thoroughly sick of that film!

Topaz Does Pat not do the darling thing too I think Pat calls her family 'love' doesn't she?

TheMShip · 17/02/2015 12:46

Oooh, I like Zero's Cutted Up Farm bit. That's good, that is.

Guessing the next thread will cover David's refusal to move. Can no one see how depressed the poor man is? Maybe they think he's just exhausted from lambing?

stilllearnin · 17/02/2015 12:55

Is it a bit like s&m has just been invented and nobody has ever written about it before/ women were not allowed to enjoy it before- then everyone went a bit bonkers? Really gets my goat and is wrong in lots of ways including that it's all so bloody patronising!!! So in other words I agree to no more publicity (although yes the puns are fun). Defo CUP is a sleb reference please.

ppeatfruit · 17/02/2015 13:22

Sung to the song of Yesterday by David….

Yesterday Brookfield was such a lovely place to stay,

Now soon we will be going away,

Take me back to yesterday….
