This is too much for me now. I need to meditate.

No - due to costs associated with new parlour which will have to be paid before completion to enable work to start day 1 followed by everything falling through, David will moonlight as a milkman.

Je's grandad or whoever was a wealthy landowner no doubt!!

trevortrevorslattery · 30/01/2015 14:10

BYOS I was just coming on to say that - JE's grandfather was a farmer in the sense that he was a top nob with loads of land, rented out to tenant farmers.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 30/01/2015 14:15

Lynda needs to look into his family tree

Maybe great grandad built swathes of environment blighting means of production and was hounded off his land to the safety of the capital where his great grandson now seeks revenge in the family name.

I'd give a good deal to hear the Dopeys in Meadow Rise. How many cows can you fit in a council flat? Would they fall under the no pets rule?

ZeroFunDame · 30/01/2015 14:40

Don't think the other residents would take kindly to the bees.

Nor do I want to hear Josh take a hammer to the hens.

Who must be feeling somewhat neglected atm anyway.

ZeroFunDame · 30/01/2015 14:44

How many cows can you fit in a council flat?

would be a rather wonderful thread title. But no else would know what it meant so we'd all be banned for unforgivable goadyness.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 30/01/2015 15:19

The dairy herd, the Herefords, the sheep, the bees.... quite a tight squeeze. The chickens would be OK as they are housed somewhere else - Neil's land or Hayley's?

ZeroFunDame · 30/01/2015 15:24

  • "no one else" is what I meant to say.
enochroot · 30/01/2015 15:49

And the dog. Don't forget the dog.

enochroot · 30/01/2015 15:52

And what is going to happen to Bert and Freda?

ZeroFunDame · 30/01/2015 15:53

Wonder if the Aga will fit in the Meadow Rise lift.

enochroot · 30/01/2015 15:55

The piano won't fit.

songbird · 30/01/2015 16:00

I love Kate's plan for her and Feebs to live in her cottage. She really does expect the world to bend to her will doesn't she? Who lives in the cottage now?

ZeroFunDame · 30/01/2015 16:09

The cottage was supposed to be for holiday lets but Kate mentioned "tenants" the other day which sounds more long term. Perhaps the relevant SW is too young to know their original purpose. (Or I may have missed the change of use episode.)

The piano could stay downstairs in the lobby. Cheerful get-togethers, community spirit. Ben could give lessons; maybe a grant from the Prince's Trust ...

lljkk · 30/01/2015 16:38

Who says that Lucas is stopping Kate from seeing the kids? Kate is unreliable reporter & Phoebe can't truly confirm. Not as simple as Lucas won't let her, methinks. I bet Nolly is refusing to speak to Kate of her own accord and Sebo is too upset to see his parents fight. Plus he's a boy, I don't think Kate respects males very much.

The absence of a visible, tangible milk contract is quite some way beyond ridiculous.

I wonder if we've been getting our hopes up for nothing about tonight. Perhaps it will just be Kate talking at Phoebe during the drive to Birmingham.

enochroot · 30/01/2015 17:43

It's Friday though so I bet we switch back to Hell/Rob.

nauticant · 30/01/2015 18:59

Yes, I was wondering what was going to be this week's Friday night cliffhanger.

nauticant · 30/01/2015 19:05

Nicholas van whatsisface namecheck there!

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/01/2015 19:08

HAYLEY!!!

minkGrundy · 30/01/2015 19:08

"No but you could shut up" excellent advice from Phoebe.

And yay for Hayley being Hayley

nauticant · 30/01/2015 19:09

This Feebs stuff is terrific.

And she's made Hayley reappear! Feebs is now my favourite character.
