OK, this was posted on another site on January 1st 2014

'Based upon a letter in the DM from a reader who alleged they had overheard "an obnoxiously loud member of TA production team" in a Birmingham restaurant. Believe it at your peril.

Rob is revealed to be homophobic.
Jill will move into Brookfield.
The Grundy's to move back to Grange Farm.
Tom will take over the running of Bridge Farm after Tony has an accident.
Lower Loxley may burn down, but that has yet to be decided upon.
Lynda is to stage Blithe Spirit next Christmas.

Or not, as the case may be...'

How much more will come to pass, I wonder?

For once I'll be glad of a new character! And Miranda has been long awaited. I wonder if this will be the start of a "comedy" threesome or if she'll sweep in, turn up her nose and never be heard again.

That last minute court s/l sounds utter pants. Two statements? As if!

And David is already permanently exhausted. What are they trying to do to him?

Gruach · 26/04/2016 13:37

WHAT!!!!!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 26/04/2016 13:38

Lucy Fleming. Sigh. Preview before post!

ppeatfruit · 26/04/2016 13:49

They forgot to say that Lil and Miranda have a cat fight ,t'would be fun. Grin I'm watching Upstairs Downstairs again and I will say that that Simon Williams was GORGEOUS I'd fight over him Grin

MrsArthurShappey · 26/04/2016 13:51

Do Justin and Miranda have any children? Because Tam and Amy, spawn of Simon Williams and Lucy Fleming are pretty good actors an all. Or they used to be when I knew Amy. Oh, didn't I say? Yeah I'm totally well connected, me. What's that SOC you have a small part for me? Can I be the jury boss (what's the proper name for that?) who says GUILTY when Knob is on trial?.....

MrsArthurShappey · 26/04/2016 13:52

...ahem, bit carried away there Blush

ppeatfruit · 26/04/2016 13:56

Mrsrthur When, IF, knob ever gets to trial you can also wear a black cap when there is an exception made to death penalty law. Grin JUST FOR HIM

MrsArthurShappey · 26/04/2016 14:25

Ooh yeah [warming to my theme] 'YOU SHALL HANG BY THE NECK UNTIL YOU ARE DEAD...DEAD...DEAD!'

ppeatfruit · 26/04/2016 16:50

Grin YES Grin

Slightly fuller version from Radio Times online.

Hangs onto the glimmer of hope ...

1-6 May 2016
Radio Times

Some classic soap opera plotting this week as Helen keeps her barrister (and listeners) guessing as to how she’s going to plead. Unable to get a clear steer, Anna prepares two statements, but which one will Helen end up choosing?

At Bridge Farm, just as the Archers begin to think they can't take anymore, Ursula piles on the pressure and Pat grits her teeth to be civil. Then comes a glimmer of hope: the police want to talk to Pat, which she sees as a chance to finally fight Helen's corner.

Onto more pleasant matters, namely the cricket season and David’s plans to join the team for Ambridge’s match against Little Croxley. Ruth, though, is unsure of his strength as a player, particularly as his ‘whites’ are more like ‘yellows’.
The day that has been keeping Lilian in a spin arrives. Miranda is making her assessment of the Dower House - and of Lilian. What will Mrs Elliott make of her husband's country pad and his social secretary?

Rex can't figure out why there's been a sudden surge in the orders for pastured eggs, but when Josh comes clean it suddenly makes sense. Now the rebuilt egg-mobile is in place, Rex wants to move the hens out of the caravan but Josh insists they must stay there at least another week.
Finally, it beggars belief, but the troubles continue with the shepherd’s hut that Eddie has built Lynda. But as Eddie tweaks the structure, Lynda recognsises that her woes are trivial in comparison to those of others in Ambridge. Finally! A full stop for this storyline!

AugustaFinkNottle · 26/04/2016 18:55

I'm just a trifle worried that if Pat talks to the police, she will end up putting her foot in it and buggering up Helen's case even more.

DadDadDad · 26/04/2016 20:01

Foreman of the jury is the expression, Arthur. Rather poignantly the foreman at the Hillsborough inquest was mentioned in today's news, apparently in tears as he spoke. Sad

Stickerrocks · 26/04/2016 20:38

Wouldn't it be fun if Miranda was just lovely? The sort of person who would join Lill on a bender, able to discuss kitchen cabinets with Jennifer & a dab hand at cricket. Unfortunately I think she will be a city-type cliche. How long before she is heard moaning about the Fairbrethren chickens waking her up at dawn and the Brookfield cows smelling?

MrsArthurShappey · 27/04/2016 07:41

foreman yes! Thanks ddd.

MrsArthurShappey · 27/04/2016 07:43

Sad for the Hillsborough jury. Obviously nothing compared to the friends and family of those who died but I often think how awful it must be for the jury having to listen to all the evidence and testimonies in a case like this.

ppeatfruit · 27/04/2016 08:59

Yes the Hillsborough case is beyond dreadful. Sad

I reckon Miranda would have to have a very good excuse (like being in Africa working for a charity or something) to leave Justin buying and furnishing a house on his own. You wouldn't catch me letting dh do that without my say so and physical input Hmm Grin He did say she's not a country lover didn't he?

Gumpendorf · 27/04/2016 09:09

Lynda recognising her woes are small in comparison may be a reference to Jazzer but I'm hoping Lynda starts supporting Tony and Pat. Maybe she's been talking with Kirsty. Lynda will find the evidence against Rob.

ppeatfruit · 27/04/2016 09:53

I noticed that the misery memoirs are carrying on\ escalating at Bridge Farm, if it goes on getting effing worse, I'll be joining the non listeners too ( i never thought I'd say that ).

AugustaFinkNottle · 27/04/2016 14:39

There's an unnamed male lawyer in this week's cast list - I'm guessing it's Rob's lawyer. Next week we have Sheila Ross, Julian Bywater and a clerk. One of them for judge and the other for prosecuting counsel?

ppeatfruit · 28/04/2016 10:37

This thread's gone quiet is there a new one?

Gruach · 28/04/2016 11:08

Not that I'm aware of ppeat. But now that SOC is doing his own spoilering - and spoiling TA in the process ...

But we're nearly at 450 posts! Just hope the RT and other sources will have something nice to tell us soon.

ppeatfruit · 28/04/2016 13:05

Thanks Gruach Am I reading the wrong number of messages,? It says below that 'This thread has 947 messages'.

Gruach · 28/04/2016 13:10

I'm sure I wrote "nearly 950 posts"! Well spotted!

AugustaFinkNottle · 28/04/2016 13:46

I'm hoping Peggy letting off steam is something to do with her £10K. Maybe she asks Knob to put it safely away for the children and discovers it's all disappeared.

Gruach · 28/04/2016 13:58

In that scenario Augusta - it may be more likely that Peggy suggests the dowry be put towards Helen's legal representation. But when it's discovered to be all gone Rob will do the scornful laugh and remind Peggy how indisciplined and spendthrift her granddaughter is ...
