OK, this was posted on another site on January 1st 2014

'Based upon a letter in the DM from a reader who alleged they had overheard "an obnoxiously loud member of TA production team" in a Birmingham restaurant. Believe it at your peril.

Rob is revealed to be homophobic.
Jill will move into Brookfield.
The Grundy's to move back to Grange Farm.
Tom will take over the running of Bridge Farm after Tony has an accident.
Lower Loxley may burn down, but that has yet to be decided upon.
Lynda is to stage Blithe Spirit next Christmas.

Or not, as the case may be...'

How much more will come to pass, I wonder?

delurking here due to fresh spoilers! Sounds like Henry eats his Easter Eggs early (possibly due to his out-of-control
Chocolate habit Ursula has created) and Rob hits him Sad or something equally horrendous. Then Helen has to decide whether to actually OPEN HER EYES and see what's in front of her...
What I don't understand is that things, whilst escalating, have clearly not come to a head by 29th March so why the big flurry of publicity eg. Helen and SOC on woman's hour?!

glowfrog · 23/03/2016 03:35

A few advance summaries mention Helen making plans and discovering some grim truths so it does sound like things will indeed come to a head. I wonder if the grim discovering will include evidence of Rob's serial thieving and/or arson.

BoreOfWhabylon · 23/03/2016 08:53

I'm hoping the grim truths relates to the discovery of Stefan's body.

'The atmosphere turns chilly'......Henwee raids his Easter egg stash and Knob takes his bedding away as punishment, so he has to sleep in the cold? Horrible, but I've heard of that being done before by abusers Sad

Stickerrocks · 23/03/2016 09:33

I agree that Henry will stuff all his Easter eggs in one go & Rob will either smack him or send him to his room without any tea. I'm not sure if Radio 4 listeners would be able to cope with the outrage of hitting a child at 7pm, so sending him to his room is more likely.

Gruach · 23/03/2016 09:48

It used to be that we could look for a pun in the advance summaries - but perhaps the people writing them now don't know that. Chilling consequences to me would suggest Henry being put out into a cold, dark garden as punishment - or any of the suggestions above - but they may not have actually intended to imply anything to do with cold.

ElementaryMyDear · 23/03/2016 10:09

I wouldn't like to build too much into the Woman's Hour interview. It could well be simply a discussion about abuse based on the way things have been escalating, and could be designed to get more listeners in for the big climax later.

redshoeblueshoe · 23/03/2016 10:33

I'm not looking forward to the Woman's Hour programme as I expect Jenni Murray will be saying how fantastic SOC is, and he will agree Angry

GypsyFl0ss · 24/03/2016 16:46

Will she be able to conjure a famous guest?

So...is it going to be Dynamo or Derren Brown?

Gruach · 24/03/2016 17:35

Oh ...

Interesting. (Only a little. I am not particularly public spirited and can't understand how anyone would want to be constantly embroiling themselves in community jollity.)

ElementaryMyDear · 24/03/2016 19:30

I wonder if the "grim truths" Helen's discovering will involve her having a look at Rob's papers and discovering (1) a letter from the school offering Henry a place and (2) the bank statements.

mummytime · 24/03/2016 19:49

I actually think from the spoilers, that things are building until next weekend, and something will happen then. I also suspect that having all the Titchners in the cast does not mean that they are all in the same place.

recyclingbag · 24/03/2016 21:44

Please tell me it will all be OK

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/03/2016 07:08

Based on last night's horror, I wonder if Rob is going to tell Henry that he broke a promise not to talk to Mummy about the school and this is an example of what he has been trying to explain to Henry - that he must be obedient. He must do everything Rob says, because if he doesn't Mummy will be upset and while Mummy is wrong to get so upset, it is also wrong of Henry to do anything to make her worse. To help Henry remember better, he's going to take away Henry's Easter Eggs and he will only be allowed to have them if he is good, ie does everything Rob says. 'Awwight', says Henwee, but being only five, and having been forcefed chocolate by Ursula for several weeks now, he can't keep his hands off the stash (probably displayed somewhere obvious to maximise the torture) and is caught in the act, which is of course exactly what Rob has been expecting. Then he can step matters up, which has the dual effect of further cowing both Henry and Helen.

I wish that didn't sound so plausible. I keep thinking of the early chapters of David Copperfield and Jane Eyre. Sad

GypsyFl0ss · 25/03/2016 08:23

God that sounds horribly realistic Gasp0de

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/03/2016 19:35

I think mummytime got it right when she said
I wonder if Helen ends up in a refuge, and Rob is looking for her at Fallon's.

After more nasty stuff from Knob, Hellin will take Henwee and make a dash for it, with Kirsty's help.

OP posts:
mummytime · 26/03/2016 11:15

Yes! And I'm hoping they do the full public information bit and show: life in a refuge isn't as bad as you might fear, and maybe name check the freedom programme. Of courses long term Rob has to go away so Helen can return to Ambridge.
I think after last night the appearance on Woman's Hour this week makes more sense, and hopefully they can give a lot of good information out (and say how they have condensed this storyline).

Marchate · 27/03/2016 00:10

I'm now reading 3-5 April differently

3rd, H says she's having baby in hospital; 4th, H goes into labour and Kirsty takes her to hospital; 5th, baby

3 April Rob asserts his viewpoint, and Helen reacts
4 April Kirsty is called to action, and Pat is confused
5 April Jazzer is working hard, and Helen encounters a new face

JasperDamerel · 27/03/2016 12:26

I'm a bit concerned about the grim discovery that makes Helen reconsider her plans (presumably to escape). I think she might discover something that will give him extra control over her.

glowfrog · 27/03/2016 12:50

Maybe it's Stefan's body rolled up in a carpet in the garage.

nagsandovalballs · 27/03/2016 13:54

My friend's mum has met someone involved in the recruitment of an actress to play a lawyer in a case between rob and helen later this year. Custody battle?

Gruach · 27/03/2016 14:07
AugustaFinkNottle · 27/03/2016 14:08

And maybe Pat's confusion on 4 April is at being summoned to help take Helen to hospital?

PseudoBadger · 27/03/2016 14:09

I must admit I read that post and thought I'd never seen a bigger spoiler ever in the history of the universe Grin - if it's accurate...

nagsandovalballs · 27/03/2016 14:09

It is a statuary requirement that details of this thread must never be mentioned in the other place Wink darling, surely you know that?
