Love the thread title! Did anyone else notice that the Announcer's bit was actually part of the script. Another illusion shattered, I always assumed the continuity announcers were making them up themselves Shock.

Who were the guests at the ISIHAC recording? Am deeply jealous of you getting to go to that. A long time ago on a parenting website far far away I ran 3 or 4 threads of 'late arrivals' which were good fun.

....actually would anyone be up for Late Arrivals at the Radio 4 ball? We could have it on a separate thread so as not to wreck the hot-lava-flow of the Archers ranting.

CuttedUpPear · 03/11/2014 18:29

Yes I saw that Zero Smile

DadDadDad · 03/11/2014 18:30

And the winner of the Guess when the Thread will End competition for the last thread is....

Drum roll...

... She (or he) was a day short but that beat all those who plumped for 5 November...

crabbyoldbat · 03/11/2014 18:31

I am also well over 50. The older generation is growing - if they want numbers they should appeal to us, not youngsters

unitarian · 03/11/2014 18:32

I don't go on Gransnet because I was an elderly primagravida Grin so don't have GCs yet.
When I do they will be fully exposed to R4!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 03/11/2014 18:35

When you put it in a list Mimsy the changes do look astonishingly ... ambitious.

I know I'm wrong to be excited by his radicalism. BlushGrin

The prize will be winging its way from our corporate sponsors, Damara Capital

PetulaGordino · 03/11/2014 18:36

delivered by shot girls?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 03/11/2014 18:37

(Listened in my pram so at least half a century here.)

unitarian · 03/11/2014 18:38

Congratulations!

Ooh, that reminds me, did anyone else spot that BL has also sponsored the fireworks?

BringYourOwnSnowman · 03/11/2014 18:39

Don't forget we also have pc plot

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 03/11/2014 18:40

Well done icimoi. I think we can all guess what your prize will be.Grin

minklundy · 03/11/2014 18:42

Bloody hell its all got a bit lively on this thread.

DadDadDad · 03/11/2014 18:45

What do you mean Zero, I don't do stripograms.

DadDadDad · 03/11/2014 18:46

choccyp1g · 03/11/2014 18:47

dadadad you are a tease.
I thought Drum roll was the winner's user name!
Well done Icimoi.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 03/11/2014 18:49

... Was thinking of something rather less bracing. That they have too many of.

DadDadDad · 03/11/2014 19:04

RocknRoll - just noticed your suggestion of a Late Arrival thread. I'll give it a go if you start one, although I think it's harder than the other ones they sometimes do at the end of ISIHAC, such as X's Film Club.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 03/11/2014 19:15

Johnny and tony scenes nice

David and Eddie scene just stoopid. At least Eddie talks sense though.

Nice to hear a reasonable conversation between ed and will. Was a time they wouldn't have spoke! Maybe we will have a thawing of relations

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 03/11/2014 19:16

I am so not liking the thought of Ed in the vicinity of a newbie with a gun.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 03/11/2014 19:18

An accidental shooting of a main character would be a little much given everything else going on.

Given soc's previous body of work I can't imagine we will get any happy storylines though

BasketzatDawn · 03/11/2014 19:19

At least David said Northumberland not Northumbria this time. We ARE helping them with their scripts after all. Smile

Lovely thread title - off to catch up now. This is EPIC - and the end of last thread too.

guineapiglet · 03/11/2014 19:30

Now I'm going to be worrying about the precarious future of Jill's bees.... Will there be honey in Northumberland??

Given Ed's ongoing problems with water supply, we are leading slowly up to the next big 'revelation'....

guineapiglet · 03/11/2014 19:31

Ps mimsy you and I are the same vintage !Blush

unitarian · 03/11/2014 19:32

Yes to the water supply revelation.

Yes to the shooting accident. I hope Ed is going to do something heroic and be richly rewarded.

I'm ever hopeful for Ed!
