Theas18 · 29/10/2014 19:13

What happened to heatherpet? I take it she's ill again not deaded?

Shallishanti · 29/10/2014 19:13

broken wrist I think

GypsyFloss · 29/10/2014 19:14

Oh that sounds like a crowd of more than 5! Pushing the boat out.

funambulist · 29/10/2014 19:15

Heatherpet has a broken wrist, so Ruth has stayed with her to help her get to hospital appointments.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 29/10/2014 19:15

Sister eh

Shallishanti · 29/10/2014 19:15

ah, Rebecca is the sister!
is he going to come on to him??

GypsyFloss · 29/10/2014 19:15

Charlie really, really fancies Adam doesn't he?

Shallishanti · 29/10/2014 19:16

looks that way
is Adam not noticing, or ignoring?

unitarian · 29/10/2014 19:19

I was just about to allow myself one WHERE IS IAN? when the CA said he's on tomorrow!!!
Ian's alive!

Only one prediction came true - the dress was condemned outright in favour of a cover-all.

Justin's voice sounded familiar but I can't place the actor.

ErrolTheDragon · 29/10/2014 19:21

Ah, I knew Charlie's glamorous +1 would turn out to be his sister.

Selks · 29/10/2014 19:23

Charlie and Adam, meh. Couldn't care less.

However I was gripped by Rob and Helen...truly chilling and I was actually afraid that there would be some physical abuse from Rob to Helen after the ball. Ugh. Good storyline though, hope it is developed in a thoughtful way.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 29/10/2014 19:24

I am so, so glad I'm not Helen tonight.

PumpkinGordino · 29/10/2014 19:25

she's going to be apologising for her "poor behaviour" for a while Sad

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 29/10/2014 19:30

Justin Elliott = Simon Williams, who played the son in Upstairs Downstairs (real original series back in the 70s). I knew I knew the voice and could visualise the face but just couldn't get the name! Found it on the cast list for Friday's episode.

GypsyFloss · 29/10/2014 19:30

It is rather amazing to hear the HelRob story being written so consistently given the rotation of writers.

GypsyFloss · 29/10/2014 19:32

Ah Mimsy I thought I recognised his voice!

Shallishanti · 29/10/2014 19:32

maybe they had a lot of input/researched it
I hope so
would be a shame to waste the opportunity

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 29/10/2014 19:33

Yes, I could imagine him pushing her at the very least. I bet she got the rough side of his tongue when they got home. 'I'm very disappointed in you, Helen.' 'Don't you realise how important events like that are for my career? ' 'You know, I really don't think you should drink at all when we're in company. You just can't keep control of that silly little mouth of yours, can you?'

I do hope she was never stupid enough to tell him about that occasion when she ran over Mike Tucker while in drink. That would be meat and drink to an abuser like Rob. Sad

unitarian · 29/10/2014 19:38

Thank you, Mimsy. I knew I recognised it.

Rob is sounding more and more menacing. He's not as subtle in his 'handling' of Helen as he was.

Adam & Charlie fancy each other rotten.

GypsyFloss · 29/10/2014 19:41

Oh God Mimsy I can hear Rob saying that last line!
I really do hope they keep up the skilful writing.

BOOreOfWOOObylon · 29/10/2014 19:43

Am v disappointed that Jess didn't put in an appearance though Sad

unitarian · 29/10/2014 19:46

Oh, I agree. That storyline is being very well written. When I say Rob's not as subtle I mean that the level of terror is rising.

If he got a hard time from Justin over those figures will he take it out on Helen so that she's hiding a black eye tomorrow? She couldn't possibly stay with him then could she?

BringYourOwnSnowman · 29/10/2014 19:49

It is a good story. I hope the Jess pregnancy doesn't derail it though. It was unnecessary.

PumpkinGordino · 29/10/2014 19:49

it just goes to show how the jess pregnancy angle isn't needed though doesn't it? it's just unnecessary drama in what is in itself a deeply concerning and (from my POV) realisting storyline
