A big showdown tonight I hope.

Thanks to Zero (I think?) for the great title.

OP posts:

The White Pony of the Apocalypse ... that so should be in the next thread title.

Davros · 15/10/2014 16:09

I can only go to page 25 as I listen to the Film and would get spoilers if I went further but, can I say the following:

  • surely Fallon can take over the Xmas show as she is now a "professional events person" and she could flog her upscaled tat in the interval
  • Lizard SHOULD get the same inheritance/shares as her sibs. Just because she made a marriage with money and a minor stately home doesn't mean she shouldn't be equal. My MIL made this mistake with two of the grand daughters, gave lots to one who had little and little to one who had lots. Five years later the roles were totally reversed. You never know what may happen and she still has children who might be thick and/or useless
PetulaGordino · 15/10/2014 16:32

i do agree with you there davros. my mum is one of seven and she is the second born. she and the siblings born closest to her have nearly two decades of earning behind them compared to the youngest siblings, so they are more comfortable financially. she suggested to my grandfather that he write his will so that the younger siblings benefited more, because they would need the money more. my grandfather said absolutely not, categorically no, because as you say circs change, and also he wasn't leaving a legacy that was unequal and could cause ructions after his death

PureDeadBrilliant · 15/10/2014 16:43

Can anyone remember the split if the A and B shares?

unitarian · 15/10/2014 16:47

The White Pony of the Apocalypse is loosed. Who will suffer Death by 1000 Pheasants? Who will survive the Hunt Ball?

(DadDadDad predicts we'll need a new one before Sunday's Film.)

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 15/10/2014 17:04

PDB, in Petula's link it says that the split was not specified at the time but that it's very unlikely that it was 25% to each sibling.

Loving all the prophecies of doom! Grin

Davros · 15/10/2014 17:45

btw, just thinking, is the new series editor Julian Fellows under a pseudonym?

unitarian · 15/10/2014 18:03

A character is usually given a strong storyline before being written out so Jill is in danger, as is Roy.

Ian's safe then!
And Lily is immortal.

unitarian · 15/10/2014 18:06

Oh! Jill had that vision of Doris.
Hakluyt's right. It is Jill.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/10/2014 18:41

The White Pony of the Apocalypse ... that so should be in the next thread title.

Stupendous - and at exactly the right moment to cheer me up! Never thought a horror story would brighten my day.

So we're certain Jill is for the great W.I. in the sky?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/10/2014 18:47

She probably told the producer he was a ruddy idiot for coming up with stoopid stories so he offered to give her a good send off. We will all be expecting heather to sotmc an it will be Jill instead

No comment on the ed Grundy wrongful murder conviction plot anyone!?!?!

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/10/2014 18:49

Surely Henry is just the Prophet, come to prepare the way for the true Spawn of Satan, soon to be born into the World of Man?

I speak, of course, of the Child of Jess And Rob (COJAR?) who is bound to arrive on the night of the Hunt Ball (which Jess will have gatecrashed in a handy plot device).

Or... Jess might just hang on until Halloween

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/10/2014 18:49

So are we lookibg for new thread titles - how about

Out hunting with rob on the white pony of the apocalypse, trying to get out if overtime like ian or dodging killer pheasants with Jill?

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/10/2014 18:52

Just waiting for Carol to adopt a rescue rottweiler, then we will know for sure that she is to be Guardian of the Hell-Babe.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/10/2014 18:57

OMG! Jess in taffeta with a crooked tiara and streaming mascara giving birth in the middle of the ballroom floor?

While Freddie denounces?

And Charlie's partner swings a punch at Adam?

It's too good. Why can't we all go?

(The VW story is too outrageous to contemplate.Angry )

florencedombey · 15/10/2014 18:57

Roar! at Jess's baby being called "Cojar" Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/10/2014 19:00

First Jess will lurk outside, pressing her face to windows and warbling

Robbieeeee! It's meee, it's Jessieeee!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/10/2014 19:03

GrinGrinGrin

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/10/2014 19:06

Yay! Radio's on form! Grin

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/10/2014 19:07

It's all starting to sound so much more reasonable the more I read the thread

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/10/2014 19:13

Exactly as we said. Rob was DETERMINED to spoil her time out with Emma.

He is EVIL.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/10/2014 19:13

So rob ruins Helen time out. Now that is unexpected.

Oh Helen, it would make me feel so much better if you'd wear this tracking device

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/10/2014 19:15

Is it just me who feels the interaction between the sisters was really badly written?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/10/2014 19:15

"Just to stop me worrying..."

unitarian · 15/10/2014 19:17

He knew perfectly well she was at Emma's. The snake.
