A big showdown tonight I hope.

Thanks to Zero (I think?) for the great title.

'Idyll'.

Shudder.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 09/10/2014 22:30

Stop it.

Poor invisible Lily might be funny now. But there's potentially another eighty five years of Freddie reporting what she's said.

How d'you think Freda feels?

BasketzatDawn · 09/10/2014 23:18

Thanks, DDD, I did read yesterday's post from you - but failed to retain the info. It's a common failing these days I find. Grin

Hands up, those of us who have never run a bath for our DPs esp. one with bubbles. My hand is up - though the loverly MrBasketz has run my bath,or drawn it as he prefers (I think he likes to pretend he's a butler in a stately home!). Hell will never keep it all going.

BasketzatDawn · 09/10/2014 23:20

Zero, do you think most of us care what's happening in Ambridge or anywhere in 85 years? Grin

unitarian · 10/10/2014 00:25

I got confused. Did the bath take place at lunchtime?

PetulaGordino · 10/10/2014 05:46

I think so Unitarian but he was grubby after hunting

mummytime · 10/10/2014 06:03

I found the bath weird. If it was me or DH we'd have been a bit put out, as we'd much prefer a shower after exercise.
I have run DHs bath a couple of times, but only when he was injured. I plead a fractured hip as extenuating circumstances m'lord.

Eastpoint · 10/10/2014 07:19

I think people traditionally have baths after hunting to get properly warm again & stop themselves from getting stiff. While hunting must be vigorous exercise I assume riding back home to the stables or wherever your horse box is, must be just walking and so you'd get cold.

PetulaGordino · 10/10/2014 07:21

Rob wanted a shower didn't he? But henry wanted to run him a bath with bubbles.

unitarian · 10/10/2014 09:32

I didn't get that he'd been hunting because I assumed he would be working midweek. Silly me.

PetulaGordino · 10/10/2014 09:34

yes that was weird re midweek. was it because charlie is away?

PetulaGordino · 10/10/2014 09:34

i guess he just took the day/morning off

R4 · 10/10/2014 09:37

I have never drawn a bath for Mr R4 (or R5, as I am sure he would rather be called).

R4 · 10/10/2014 09:38

Yeah. Explain me that: why wasn't Helen on the Hunt too?

DadDadDad · 10/10/2014 09:46

This thread will end on 19th October early in the day.

ppeatfruit · 10/10/2014 10:07

Basketz I'm not sure they've released Endeavour as a DVD yet (someone will know Grin)

Hear Hear Zero More please Petula Grin Grin I mentioned that it was probably a combine which would be palatial compared to the little tractors round here anyway!!!!!

trevortrevorslattery · 10/10/2014 10:40

Hey Petula good luck today!!! Let us know how it goes Smile

Ugh the flipping Xmas show. Sacrificed on the altar of the David/Ruth/Brookfield bullshit storyline as another reason why things have changed in Ambridge meaning that Jill would be more likely to leave.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 10/10/2014 10:47

So what more can they change?

They are going to have to be careful that they don't kill the golden goose!

PetulaGordino · 10/10/2014 11:06

who did mike say had had the offer accepted on his and vicky's house? was it a young family?

PureDeadBrilliant · 10/10/2014 11:09

Endeavour is on DVD and it is ace!

Is anyone else amazed by how feeble the response to Route B is? If it was me, and there was going to be a sodding big road through my idyll I would have got a proper committee, a lawyer, a planning consultant and a PR person.

They are just so bloody wet

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 10/10/2014 11:17

and there must be other people affected by route b? can't they band together?

it does seem very wet and reinforces my opinion that the sw can't do character so have to fill it with plot devices

all of the big stories this year have been really pathetic and once signposted totally predictable.

cheminotte · 10/10/2014 12:24

I only heard half of yesterday.. I don't believe there will be no Christmas show. Linda always has teething difficulties.

ppeatfruit · 10/10/2014 12:28

PureDead Thanks Grin I knew someone would know.

And yes I'm amazed (often in the past too) about the lack of real legal knowledge the researchers and or S.W.s seem to bother with have on TA.

KatieKaye · 10/10/2014 12:29

More Ambridge prejudice against the lovely Button girls!

Nice to hear that Pat is missing Tom. Like so many others here I'm wondering how they are managing to keep the farm going when not so long ago Tony was berating Tom for spending to much time on this business. Helen, of course has a long history of not coping with the smallest bump I life, hence passing Henry over to Pat to look after. Which is pretty much what she's been doing his entire life.

Are we ever going to hear any more from Robs parents? Do we have to wait until the baby is born before Jess makes a reappearance?

Delusion, thy name is Helen.

ppeatfruit · 10/10/2014 13:02

I've just 'caught up'; Yes KatieKaye the Button girls are the Ambridge whipping boys!!

I was in tears FGS (David and Jill are good actors) erm David "it won't effin' happen".
