How about we immortalise Schrodinger's Baby in the opening paragraph?

How long will this thread last DadDadDad?

Thank you Smile

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/09/2014 19:23

What's wrong with Keira? I didn't realise fallon was so bitchy!! And fallon isn't the most mainstream of names.

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 15/09/2014 20:09

Well Fallon did go on to deride her own name!

& Kiera (or Keira???) is one of those names that will date

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/09/2014 20:37

Did she - I had a crying child so only heard about 30%!

Take it back then fallon!!

stilllearnin · 15/09/2014 21:15

I like mungo as a name. I think poor Freddie will let it slip to hayley that they DTD in his house. When he confronted his mum he made a point of that. He won't want to talk to Hayley about it and she will be lovely to him but he'll say something and it'll be the last straw. Hayley has had some great lines tho

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/09/2014 21:29

But when did this happen actually in the house? There was the incident in the stables - and all the writing suggested that either Freddie or Shula could have been hovering in the background. Then Roy invited Elizabeth back to the LL flat he was borrowing over Loxfest week. The only time Freddie came upon them unexpectedly in the house they weren't in fact doing anything dreadful. Or did he use house to mean anywhere on the estate?

Although I guess it doesn't matter. if he can say to Hayley that he saw anything at all she'll know it wasn't a one-off at Greenfields (or whatever it was called.)

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/09/2014 21:33

i assumed his flat was within the house!

i think hayley knows it wasn't just once - all those late nights, him being so distant and then the abrupt looking for a new job. she knows when it started now and it was pretty obvious when it ended

Veritata · 15/09/2014 21:40

Didn't Lizzie say something about it all having been an awakening? Now that her juices are surging again (sorry if that makes people heave) she may well be anxious to repeat the experience with someone more available. Time for Ifty to reappear and Rotaboy to get all bitter and jealous.

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 15/09/2014 21:41

I still hope E will say something to H about it being over, & H will say something like 'no thanks to you', & then E will feel forced to defend herself, & it will all come out.

That would be a nice juicy scene. Esp if F has some input as well...

PetulaGordino · 15/09/2014 21:48

are F and L friends with Phoebe? does P know yet?

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 15/09/2014 22:06

They are cousins-ish ( a generation removed) but presumably mix sometimes

I'm sure Phoebe will hear soon enough, one way or another (via Josh or Ben maybe?)

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/09/2014 22:29

Two generations surely? Elizabeth and Jenny are first cousins; Phoebe is Jenny's granddaughter.

How close they might be is an interesting question. F &L must have seen a fair bit of Phoebe when they were small - more because of Hayley's employment than because of their family relationship. But I'd imagine that once they moved to the Cathedral school their paths would have diverged quite sharply. Phoebe doesn't appear to follow country pursuits - her friends seem to be in Borchester. (Apart from Josh...) No doubt her friends would find the Cathedral girls stuck up if they should ever bump into them in town. And it would appear that Roy and Hayley weren't invited to the Kitchen shindig - suggesting that they really don't move in Archer circles socially.

It must be quite killing for Jenny - being now related to both Tuckers and Carters /Horrobins.ShockGrin

stilllearnin · 15/09/2014 22:33

Oh I took the flat to be there or thereabouts too! Juices surging?! In Ambridge? Are you sure?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/09/2014 22:34

aren't freddie and lily a couple of years younger than phoebe? i should imagine that stops a lot of 'friends rather than family'

as for the kitchen shindig - god that was a dreadful story

we don't seem to have had anything dire like that recently

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/09/2014 22:40

I think it was part of a barn conversion (or similar) in LL grounds. I'm sure i remember Elizabeth taking either trustees or planning people around the building to persuade them the conversion would be a good investment... (And they spent the night in the flat before they had the moment in the stables.)

Phoebe will find out through living in the same house as her father and stepmother...

PetulaGordino · 15/09/2014 22:44

i do hope phoebe will find out from R&H, but they haven't said anything yet, and there are others who know...

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/09/2014 22:48

phoebe is 16, not stupid

they may think they are hiding it but both kids will know something is up and i'm sure phoebe is cunning enough to eavesdrop!!

PetulaGordino · 15/09/2014 22:51

if i were her my spidey senses would have been tingling from the episode of the babysitting that never was

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 15/09/2014 22:55

Zero, I never get the hang of second/third/twice removed cousins Grin

But Freddy & Lily are the same generation as Kate - so Phoebe is one generation away from them?

PetulaGordino · 15/09/2014 22:56

second cousins once removed then

but i was thinking more from a friendly POV, and it sounds like that's unlikely

awfulomission · 15/09/2014 22:57

Great thread to find! I was boaking at Roy. Eww.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/09/2014 22:58

Arghh, 5 pages into a new thread and I haven't listened to todays episode yet!

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 15/09/2014 23:02

Did Freddie witness (or overhead) the 'oh Roy, you fill Nigel's shirt so much better than he did' incident?

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 15/09/2014 23:02

Overhear tsk

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 15/09/2014 23:20

Maybe that's what pushed him over the edge! That kid needs serious counselling.
