How about we immortalise Schrodinger's Baby in the opening paragraph?

How long will this thread last DadDadDad?

That was one of the most frustrating episodes!

Come ON Hayley kick him OUT. Although I can't wait for Mike to find out. I think he'll wipe the floor with Roytheboy and Vickoi will. Bet Phoebe finds out soon too if Roy goes back into work.

GypsyFloss · 14/09/2014 19:26

I hope that Lizard lets slip to Hayley that Roy wanted to leave Hayley for her but that she turned him down and sent him back to his wife and family. That'll put paid to his big fat lie that it was only once and didn't mean anything.

Kirk1 · 14/09/2014 19:29

Oh, Roy "It was only the one time!"
Bollux was it.
And "Don't take my family away too"
Should have thought of that before climbing into your sleeping bag with your boss, then. Her tent would have been empty, and she was drunk enough that she'd have been asleep before realising he wasn't following. Twat.

Hayley need to get shot of him. It's only a pity Lizzie won't suffer anything for her part in it.

BasketzatDawn · 14/09/2014 19:29

Good lines from Hayley and good acting from her. Yes. But if this is it and they now reconcile I'll stop liking TA. I can't say I'll stop listening as I am truly hooked. I so hope this is just the start ..... How can she 'take him back' when she knows it's a sham and she was the 'fall back partner' when Kate dumped him and John died? Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. And, I agree, she needs to tell others, starting with Vicki.

Kirk1 · 14/09/2014 19:30

Agreed Gypsy, I thought it was a bit rich letting Hayley think he was the one ending it!

BasketzatDawn · 14/09/2014 19:33

Yes, as the wise women of the Relationships board would advise, he needs to move out for a while/for ever. But not to LL. What a bastard. I think/hope his father will be livid.

BasketzatDawn · 14/09/2014 19:35

Rota needs to be careful. Man made fibres can be very flammable.Wink

GypsyFloss · 14/09/2014 19:36

I think Roy has just claimed my most hated man character title.

cheminotte · 14/09/2014 19:49

Isn't that the script - it was only once etc etc.
As an aside - Johnny had borrowed his dad's old bike. Really? You'd still have it AND its roadworthy 18 years later?

BasketzatDawn · 14/09/2014 19:54

It's a wonder they didn't have RichJohn swooning over his dad's old bedroom, all set out like a shrine. Hmm The way it's been portrayed (I have to say this every so often in case somebody reminds me it's not real!), Pat and Tony have had a weird old 'grief journey' - though not saying it's all unrealistic. Baby barrister- it will only annoy you as it will be factually inaccurate!!

Selks · 14/09/2014 20:24

Yes, I'll be naffed off too if it's all 'make up and forget all about it' from the SWs now re Hayley and Roy. But the SWs do have a tendency to suddenly end story lines in a very un-realistic way Angry

R4 · 14/09/2014 20:36

Roy's being very clever (not the word I want, but YKWIM) with his precise wording. "Only the once" refers to committing infidelity once - i.e there has only ever been one OW - but makes it sound like they DTD only once.
He was similarly vague-yet-precise when Lizbuff sent him home early on Thursday

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 14/09/2014 20:57

Hayley will find out that it wasn't just once, that he didn't finish it, & that he was all set to dump her for Elizabeth.

Possibly from Elizabeth herself as I can't imagine Hayley will just let it go without at least one more discussion.

ppeatfruit · 14/09/2014 20:59

Thanks for the new thread psuedo Grin

A lot of people take back their partners after infidelity it's not unrealistic IMO Selks. I like the way the SWs have us knowing things that the actors don 't know!

cheminotte · 14/09/2014 21:08

He is putting pressure on her to say - ok I forgive you. Which is really unfair.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 14/09/2014 21:08

It's not unrealistic for her to take him back but I would expect years of recriminations and snide remarks and distrust. Sw have form for suddenly not bothering to continue things!!

CuttedUpPear · 14/09/2014 21:32

I can't see Hayley speaking to Lisbeth again.
Roy is totally following The Script.
He would be torn to pieces on Relationships here.

Oh yes - yawn yawn about John 's old bike. Was it kept in some kind of shed shrine/time capsule?

Nusalembongan · 14/09/2014 21:39

Won't everyone in Ambridge realise what's gone on as soon as it's obvious neither of them works at LL as of Monday morning?!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 14/09/2014 21:49

Did Hayley quit?

cheminotte · 14/09/2014 21:54

I don't think she has or will. And Roy hasn't left yet, isn't even officially.on gardening leave.

LillianGish · 14/09/2014 22:03

Is Jennydarling a role model for Hayley perhaps?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 14/09/2014 22:07

I've always felt Jenny and Brian had an understanding.

Hayley clearly has no understanding of how her life blew up and I would hope she doesn't accept it and try and move on

LillianGish · 14/09/2014 22:21

I agree Snowman. I don't think she'll ever be able to forgive him - it must bring back memories of what happened with her and John (especially if she runs into Sharon), but has someone has already pointed out she is in an impossible situation - she lives with her in-laws and works for the other woman.
