Before tonight, I was thinking Hayley may well go back to work and hold her head high, at least till she finds another job. Be polite and do her job, in a sense being the more mature person in all this. Which she is obvs. But she is quite broken. Lots of women in the same circs would need a sick line in fact. Which would mean Lizard needing to employ someone to cover H's duties. This could cause huge financial hardship to LL as a business. Yay! I'm puzzled about where the SWs are going with RoynHayley. Yesterday's episode sounded as if we were meant to assume that Roy was sincere in declaring his everlasting love for Hayley and his declarations that the whole thing was a moment of madness, but really would anyone do that much of a U turn within days of declaring to the OW that they were meant for each other and that he was absolutely prepared to ditch his family? I can see that reality may have dawned when Lizzabeff told him to sling his hook but surely he has to evaluate a bit more what his feelings for Hayley really are if he was so ready to hurt her?

Veritata IMO and E most men (and some women too) don't THINK at all about affairs, they don't mean to hurt anyone just to scratch the itch IFYSWIM. It's biology ain't it? ( i know that's an unpopular view ) but it doesn't make it any less true .

i think it's realistic - he wouldn't have left hayley without another bed to go to. he's following the script of only admitting what she already knows, he knows what side his bread is buttered. he had a nice life with hayley before he messed it up, now that elizabeth has rejected him his options have narrowed (stay with hayley or get himself a bedsit/live with his dad/find a live-in hospitality job) he knows what he would rather. we don't really know what roy is feeling really - but whether he loves hayley or not as he declares we know what owuld be the most comfortable solution for him so he's gunning for that
