First thought on hearing of Carol's potions was: Did she kill her husband? And who will be next? Is that a use for raised flower beds? To conceal the corpse, I mean. They'd have to be fairly deep though - and a bit hopeless with Bert snooping around. He'll feel quite proprietorial I'd think if he puts in hours on her raised beds. I was surprised to hear him again - assumed the actor had retired already. Is Bert not older than Carol? - presumably he can do the heavy work cos he's all manly and she's just a witch.
I recall the private school argument coming up again when Peep was going to sec school. It seems to be the sole point Phil and Jill disagreed on. His view was that the cath school would be right for her due to her piano playing prowess. Where ahs that detail gone then?
Where were Adam and the lecher drinking the beer he just happened to have in his car? I imagined them huddled together in the tractor cab. I'd think if A was going to give Charlie the brush off he'd not have been so keen to drink the beer. But wot do I know. I wonder if anything does happen to the marriage of A and Ian, if the gabs of the village will have a bigoted field day - Oh, well, I never held with people like them marrying. Or it wasn't like a real marriage, was it.
Lastly, there cannot be another dramatic birth in Ambridge. Most births /labours esp. first babies go on for days and are deeply boring affairs (if you are on the outside looking in). In Ambridge we've already had Phoebe arriving in a field, Ben on the kitchen floor, Henry the night Nigel was pushed. Any other dramatic ones? oh, the Irish one came inconveniently while Brine was at a doo. Abby came early. Emmur was an accidental doula-type for someone. Who was that? Please, Mimsy, do fill in the gaps for me.
