paris in the runup to christmas will be lovely. i left paris on christmas eve, and on 23rd december i wandered up and down the champs elysées and rivoli looking at the lights, lêched the vitrines of the designer shops in rue de saint-honoré and place vendôme, queued for what seemed like hours at ladurée for macarons... it was totally clichéed but lovely

I think Ian will be quietly written out. There'll be an off air showdown and he will scurry away to avoid having to listen to yet more scorned spouse talk.

(Just as, if Hayley had had an affair, there would be no complications re Phoebe etc. Hayley would just disappear and everything else stay the same.
