How about we immortalise Schrodinger's Baby in the opening paragraph?

How long will this thread last DadDadDad?

R4 there weren't any spoilers. I think the excitement of Ed's milk quality talk may have over excited you. Maybe a lie down.

Besides, and I mean this gently, it's not really up to one poster to come in and tell others what they can and cannot post. Especially when they had been sensitive anyway.

stealthsquiggle · 18/09/2014 10:03

On a complete tangent - we were accidentally watching the programme about the road maintenance people on the M6 the other night, and the people who live right next to the motorway complaining about the noise from roadworks was really quite amusing (yes, I do get that it is a different type of noise, etc, and that it is a real problem for them - but at face value, it's people who bought/rented a house 10ft from the M6 complaining about noise, and I childishly found that really funny)

trevortrevorslattery · 18/09/2014 10:46

R4 I hate spoilers too! But don't worry as people's requests from the last thread have been taken on board... the "spoilers" on this one were just people telling others where to look if they wanted spoilers IYSWIM. So no threat to the enjoyment of the likes of us.Smile

I thought yesterday was boring too though. I must be obsessed by the sinkhole as I thought the sound of thunder must be the sound of a distant landslide Confused

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 18/09/2014 10:55

I did have a vision of David returning to Brookfield just to fon an enormous hole

Then at Jill's wake everyone would be going on about her amazing baking skills - Adam 'I was just biting into a slice when it happened, ill never eat cake without thinking of her'

BitOutOfPractice · 18/09/2014 11:07

I'm surprised there isn't an obesity epidemic in Ambridge. They only ever seem to eat cake!!

Theas18 · 18/09/2014 11:15

I do hope the deluge opens the sinkhole to swallow brookfield soon!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 18/09/2014 11:15

They've missed the boat on a GBBO crossover. Could see Jill competing!!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 18/09/2014 11:16

Can you imagine -

So that road wasn't so bad after all. Would have been better than the large hole which the cows can't seem to get out of.

TallGiraffe · 18/09/2014 17:12

ppeat I love the idea of a near flood in my bathroom being linked to a sinkhole! Grin

The amount of cake eaten is pretty realistic I would suggest for most farming villages (certainly ours anyway), there's never a cup of tea without a slice of something.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 18/09/2014 19:06

"My lucky corner!"Grin

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 18/09/2014 19:54

Joe is so sweet sometimes

Selks · 18/09/2014 20:05

I like Joe too. It was hard to hear when he was so unwell after his fall a while back that he couldn't go out on the cart with old Bartleby..nice to hear him back on form. He's a link with another era, really.

Veritata · 18/09/2014 20:50

I spent tonight's episode wishing someone would get on and take that walk up Lakey Hill to discover what's happened to The Sinkhole That Sunk Route 2.

Oooh, just had a thought, is it called Lakey Hill for some sinkhole/water/ lake-related reason?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 18/09/2014 21:53

Joe is a sweetie. I wonder how much David have him

Is the marquee disaster really such a disaster? Not sure why there are all te histrionics and I would expect Lynda to be resourceful enough to sort something out without so much fuss. Surely fallon and Emma can help out again - they do have a few days to source stuff and put it all together.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 18/09/2014 21:58

Ah but Lynda does get all histrionic about various productions (all those Christmas plays?) so it's pretty true to form.

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2014 22:00

So much for feng shui Grin

Really nice to hear Joe again, he's been off-air too long.

Eastpoint · 19/09/2014 06:41

I really felt like shouting at Lynda 'This is what happens if you put a marquee up way too early, it's a temporary tent. What were you thinking?' Of course in real life I would have to be supportive too.

ppeatfruit · 19/09/2014 07:58

Well it'll be Granma Lilian to the rescue surely?

cheminotte · 19/09/2014 08:07

I loved Tony and Joe's conversation about grandsons.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 19/09/2014 08:50

I do feel a bit sorry for Sharon. She must be experiencing such conflicting emotions. Her son getting an education but not the one she'd planned; coming into his inheritance, but an inheritance from people she hates who treated her badly; walking into his dream life - but away from her...

Sad
ppeatfruit · 19/09/2014 12:17

Interesting ZeroSome You've only mentioned what SHARON wants. It's not about her though is it ?

ppeatfruit · 19/09/2014 12:20

If it had been up to me ds would 've got a first at Cambridge and studied music at the RAM Grin

stilllearnin · 19/09/2014 12:52

I was running yesterday when an errant archers podcast wandered onto my iPod Grin it was the ep where Tom has told pat it was all down to trying to be John. It was interesting to hear tony was much more sympathetic than I remembered! Also I was running round a lake and had the exact same thought about the origins of the name of lakey hill. Over infested? Me?

cryhavoc · 19/09/2014 13:00

Yesterday's episode was lovely. I wonder if the money Joe gave to Ed will be enough to put down a deposit on Mike's business? He's been musing lots about wanting to better himself and how he wants to achieve more for his family, so this would be a perfect way. I want EdNEmmur to have some luck, they've both been written very sympathetically recently.

There's no way Lyndipops would have gone to prices over some rain like that, it seems out of character.

ppeatfruit · 19/09/2014 13:18

Wot cryhavoc But her special 'corner' got ruined and the fang shui did not help her Sad Wink Anyone know how close her house is to the river ; it sounded like a river overflow situation to me.

Hmm over Brian getting sentimental over a drowning bee that he and his spraying farming friends have been instrumental in nearly wiping out! Also good that Joe was bringing our attention to the river being polluted by the policies of said farmers.
