Shock is hayley just blaming elizabeth! When is roy going to get it!!!!
unitarian · 12/09/2014 19:08

For BOYOS

'Don't you have enough here already without taking my husband as well.'

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 12/09/2014 19:11

Haven't they told Linda about the hole yet?

Bea · 12/09/2014 19:13

ahhhh!!!! give it to him hayley!!!!!!

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 12/09/2014 19:13

Oh God. Poor, poor Hayley. Sad

unitarian · 12/09/2014 19:16

'We're only together because Kate dumped you.' Nice one, H.

DeckSwabber · 12/09/2014 19:17

Ooo - how annoying is Roy?

'So, Hayley, where do we go from here?'

That's right - break her heart, then get her to sort it all out and make it better.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 12/09/2014 19:21

Oh I need more!! Hayley on a rampage sounds excellent!!!

CheeseBored · 12/09/2014 19:23

He didn't exactly try very hard did he? Pathetic. Hope she kicks him to the kerb.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 12/09/2014 19:23

Liz relied in Hayley a lot after Nigel died so if I were Hayley I would be livid with her too

Please tell me she booted Roy out???

PetulaGordino · 12/09/2014 19:26

yes hayley has a personal relationship with elizabeth so reasonable for her to confront her. i think she was getting her ducks in a row too - get the information about where it started etc so if there are any inconsistencies she will spot them

hayley wasn't really rampage-y, she was very dignified, but didn't take any flannel

she didn't boot him out, that was left hanging

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 12/09/2014 19:29

Oh I hope she does. And I hope lizzie drowns in her own self pity (was she feeling sorry for herself?)

Did either show any concern about the affair being public knowledge?

I guess this 'new' Roy will probably think its a good thing and in a few months the dust will settle and he can move on with liz

PetulaGordino · 12/09/2014 19:34

nothing was said about public knowledge

she produced the locket when talking to elizabeth (said it was when she knew)

she also produced it when she confronted roy at home, he asked her where she got it from, she said that was her secret. so he can fret about that one

PetulaGordino · 12/09/2014 19:35

i'm going to have to listen again. i had lined up a few jobs in the kitchen to do whilst i was listening, but dp decided to help me. normally that would be very welcome, but he kept asking me questions and getting hurt when i said "ssshh!"

nauticant · 12/09/2014 19:36

The Hayley confrontations were very well done I thought.

Peggy being back as her familiar and intolerant self is a real return to form. What I'd love to see is the SWs keeping the EA Knob storyline going and then adding Peggy as an enabler. One can really imagine classic Peggy taking the side of the "strong man with proper values" over the "foolish and neurotic woman".

BasketzatDawn · 12/09/2014 19:53

As well as taking some control over the whole situation, I wonder if Hayley was protecting Freddie by refusing to say how the locket came into her
hands. Excellent episode. YY, what about the 'huge' hole up Lakey Hill?

My very English and parochial BIL doesn't like THAT name either. Smile I think BIL is a bit of a snob. I've often thought same of Lindy Pops.Wink

PetulaGordino · 12/09/2014 19:55

i think mungo is quite realistic - it fits in with some of the names of babies recently born among acquaintances

BasketzatDawn · 12/09/2014 19:56

Re- public knowledge, maybe Hayley doesn't care. Not everyone does and she is the wronged party here. Maybe it's intended as a contrast to Helen who cares very much about 'public knowledge'. And it's likely they gossips would be supportive of Hayley.

BasketzatDawn · 12/09/2014 19:59

the not they (gossips) If Mungo is getting more popular, then there may be another when the PFB of Ambridge starts school. BTW, Microsoft doesn't recognise it.

PetulaGordino · 12/09/2014 19:59

i assumed byos meant E and R rather than H re public knowledge?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 12/09/2014 20:01

I meant Roy and lizzie caring about public knowledge. Hayley has nothing to be ashamed of

BasketzatDawn · 12/09/2014 20:01

Sorry for all poor punctuation above.Blush I think I need a MN rest .....

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 12/09/2014 20:02

Xpost!

Isn't there a mungo bean?

RhinestoneCowgirl · 12/09/2014 20:05

DS (8) actually requested to listen to The Archers tonight, DH reckons I am indoctrinating the children...

Good episode tonight, Hayley v dignified. And the whole long game stories that I love about TA 'we're only together because Kate dumped you' for example.

BasketzatDawn · 12/09/2014 20:07

Yes, I know what you mean. I wonder if any of them care. Affairs do happen , in drama and IRL, and not all will be kept secret. Shula and the doc was public knowledge. I recall her mother being very annoyed with her but it wasn't big deal IIRC. Apart from Usha of course who bears a grudge with dignity. Smile This could be another nine -day wonder, except for those (and their children) who are directly affected. I still want Hayley to dump him thoroughly.
