I did it odd that lizzie is so emotionally clueless that she doesn't realise that calling the man who declared love to her in her hour of need may be sending out the wrong messages. She comes across as a user.

Now don't get me wrong, I think Roy is despicable to treat Hayley the way he is, but lizzie is playing him.

How long ago is it now since Rob's mum called the house and Helen spoke to her? Does she know about Jess? That would certainly explain why she seemed so gobsmacked that Helen answered, although to be fair, if I rang a son who had recently split up from a wife I'd known since she was a girl, and a strange woman told me she was my son's fiance, I'd be a bit taken aback.

Rob has an older brother who is now running his parents' farm, IIRC. By Rob's account, the OB is the favourite. I wonder why?

I wonder whether his parents are farmers and if he actually has any siblings. Maybe he has made up a big story to garner sympathy.

• he is married to jess (we have heard him speaking to her (is it definitely her?) on the phone about getting divorced)

• he was in canada ?? (presumably brian/BL got references when they employed him?)

• he has a mother (we have heard helen talking to her on the phone)

I think there is a doom on Lower Loxsley. Surely the time has come when there is no alternative for strawberry and jam Lizzie and Roy but to sort out their fate on the roof.
