Will this thread make it to the wedding? Will it outlive Tony?

I think Helen will be very shrill about the whole scenario and- focused on her distressed ma and pa - will neglect to make Rob his steak and chips and he will show his nasty side again. Helen will be forced to put up with it because she doesn't want to worry the already distressed Pat n' Tony. Tom and the soon to be ex Future Mrs A will find themselves in a whacking financial hole - the house, which they will lose money on and of course all the costs of the reception.

Northernlurker · 21/04/2014 19:25

And yes 'All the time in the world' or whatever it was called was swiftly followed by the bride's bloody demise......

Chottie · 21/04/2014 19:26

Tom has just tried on his wedding ring and it is too tight and small. He was accused of eating too many X cross buns! can fat go directly to one finger? Not boding well for Thursday....

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 21/04/2014 19:27

I think you're right about the music, Zero. Oh dear oh dear oh dear oh dear!

Northernlurker · 21/04/2014 19:29

Is a a realistic possibility?

PseudoBadger · 21/04/2014 19:35

Haven't caught up yet, but I will do a wedding special thread!

OP posts:
BasketzatDawn · 21/04/2014 19:38

Yet another possibility is an 'impediment to the union' or whatever the lingo is - in the form of Brendur maybe?

I assume if the marriage doesn't take place, and tonight's run-through has confirmed that it won't, they will lose their eye-wateringly large deposit for the posh house - was it £1K? and somebody richer will buy it, or the plot. Which hardly matters (except for the debt obviously) if something cataclysmic is going to happen. Oh dear. I am dreading it all now.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 21/04/2014 19:38

Easter Grin Come on everyone - it's going to be fun!

Agree that a Wedding Thread would be cool. Only hope it won't be startlingly brief. Easter Sad

orangina · 21/04/2014 19:38

zero, yes, you're right, a very bad omen indeed (music.....) Shock

JollyGolightly · 21/04/2014 19:47

I predict a massive heart attack for Tony, meaning the wedding must be postponed. He may well not recover. Tom will be full of guilt for all the rows and ill-feeling over the last few months, but is secretly relieved about the nuptials.

cheminotte · 21/04/2014 19:48

I thought we got a run through today as we can't hear the whole wedding on Thursday as then they'd actually be legally married! But I realise that's unlikely. The choice of final music though is just tempting fate. Madness for superstitious Kirsty ..
Is that sort of wedding run through usual btw? I've never been closely involved in a wedding.

TaurielTest · 21/04/2014 19:48

I'm still hoping that we're being toyed with - especially after that clunkingly metaphorical scene with Tom saying the ring that didn't actually fit would be fine.

Holding out for big jitters on Tuesday, a stirring mano-a-mano talk with Uncle Kenton on Wednesday to bring him to his senses and set him heading for the altar with new resolve on Thursday.

Maybe.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 21/04/2014 19:54

Jolly's suggestion would have the benefit if being vaguely realistic....

But, umm.... has anyone (Tom) been checking that Kirsty is eating properly? What with wanting to get into the expensive dress an'all?

orangina · 21/04/2014 19:59

Has Kirsty got form for not eating properly?

WillieWaggledagger · 21/04/2014 20:50

it's always made out that she's got quite a sweet tooth and likes her food, but has been more restrained in the run-up to the wedding (from passing comments)

MrsCampbellBlack · 21/04/2014 20:51

I think I'm going to cry on Thursday and they won't be happy tears [over-infested]

WillieWaggledagger · 21/04/2014 20:52

Grin at that typo mrscb!

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 21/04/2014 20:54

I should see a doctor about that, Mrs CB.

MrsCampbellBlack · 21/04/2014 20:55

Or rather invested. I'm not infested - or I don't think I am.

MrsCampbellBlack · 21/04/2014 20:56

This is what happens when I watch Fargo and mn at the same time Wink

Although I really hope we don't have a Fargo type scenario in the church.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 21/04/2014 21:25

Oh - Fargo was great last night! Though I can't see how they'll string it out for ten episodes.

Wouldn't mind Martin Freeman taking up residence in Ambridge.

Was it an itching or a scrabbling type of nuisance MrsCB?

GypsyFloss · 21/04/2014 21:30

I watched Fargo whilst in labour with my first born and loved it. I'm in two minds about this version but probably give it a crack.

BitOutOfPractice · 21/04/2014 21:36

I don't think I can bear this tension any longer. Says the woman who timed her whole evening out so that she could listen in the car on the way

ErrolTheDragonsEgg · 21/04/2014 21:37

Why would anyone in their right mind choose that song for a wedding? Confused

I thought Tom was going to get the ring stuck on his porky finger and have to have it sawn off (ring or finger, don't care).

If Tom does dump Kirsty at the altar, I hope Patrick leaves his organ stool to console her - surely he's The One for her?
