Agree absolutely ppeat, a family on tap to help out is a blessing...but Hellin chooses to control her family to suit her own whims and knows exactly how to wound them, eg moving out with Henry and telling Pat they can't see him for weeks. Any comment that she perceives as being remotely in opposition to what SHE wants cannot be tolerated.

Reckon she's met her match in Rob, though I'm getting rather weary of these furtive phone calls to Jess the moment H leaves the room. Why the heck can't he ring her when he's on his own and doesn't have to be so cloak-and-dagger?

I too feel sorry for Helen. Although I think she's an awful cow to her family she is naive and in for an awful shock. She's my favourite character by a country mile and beautifully played by the actress.

I love Tom, he's so irritating. I bet the actor has loads of fun playing him. :o

I love Jennifer's increasing hysteria over the kitchen. Is she on the way to a nervous breakdown?

Oh, she already has - she's referred to paint colours which are clearly piss takes of F&B when Darrell was painting her study.

If Jennydear had to cope with my kitchen she'd have the screaming abdabs. Sadly there's no point in trying to bully dh into paying for a spiffy new one, no amount of bullying will magic up the money for it.

boobashka someone here commented that Hellin's voice is an absolute dead ringer for Sally Phillips in Clare in the Community. I now can't hear one without thinking of the other.
