Hello you two :o

OP posts:
ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 14:16

Love Jenny's spluttering and Peggy's calmness in response to Hazel.

And fantastic that Hazel is a Slitheen! Grin

TheSparklyPussycat · 15/01/2014 14:25

roaring @ Olivia Grin

Hazel is a bit Pantomime Villain for my liking. (Perhaps she could move to Ambridge and become one of Lynda's mainstays.)

Minimammoth · 15/01/2014 15:38

Julia's quarters must be available at Lower Loxley.
Liked how Hazel's voice was full of flirty innuendo with all of the males. Esp. Kenton

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 15:39

Julia's quarters must be available at Lower Loxley.
doesn't Lewis still live in them?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/01/2014 16:27

Bloody hell - how did I miss that?

I didn't know Lewis and Julia were married! I always thought they were living in genteel sin. And I worried for his future; even though Elizabeth said he'd always have a home there.

Trying hard to remember where on earth I was in 2005....

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/01/2014 16:29

Sorry...

This.

Pictures!

Gigondas · 15/01/2014 16:38

Those pictures -actor playing Matt looks nothing like I imagine Matt. Actress playing nic does though.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/01/2014 16:56

Well..... Don't forget, the real Matt, Lewis, Nic etc are far too busy to hang around being photographed. It's just lucky there are some un-busy actors who can stand-in.

Minimammoth · 15/01/2014 16:59

My Archers knowledge is sadly lacking. Perhaps Jill could bunk up with Lewis if he's spare.

Gigondas · 15/01/2014 17:11

That's true zero.

But what about Jim if Lewis bunks up with Jill? Think it is all part of Jill is frail youth of today.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 17:18

I thought Jim and Christine were going to pair up a while back, before he went back home and acquired Jazzer. I expect she'd be a bit miffed if Jim kicked out Jazzer and moved Jill in!

MrsCampbellBlack · 15/01/2014 19:04

Golly, is this jill's punishment for being so vile - honestly, her chuntering in church was dreadful.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 19:07

Do hope the finger of suspicion doesn't point to Darrell...
Angry Emmur!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/01/2014 19:16

Well that's just silly. One of them would have insisted she spend the night elsewhere.

Bluestocking · 15/01/2014 19:16

Jill's chuntering - "lovely service, Alan"! And I love the way she says "OH!" at the slightest provocation. I reckon that nice young PC is a gerontophile who's taken a fancy to her.

Can anyone else hear the fluttering wings of the Massively Successful Music Festival Fairy hovering over Ambridge?

MrsCampbellBlack · 15/01/2014 19:20

Emmur back to her usual nasty self. God, I do really dislike her.

TallGiraffe · 15/01/2014 19:21

I can't think of anything more ridiculous than a music festival in Ambridge. They ruin fields! And are massively unpopular with the neighbours (ie me particularly when I've never heard of the rubbish artists )

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/01/2014 19:23

Glasto-on-Am would be a rather wonderful inheritance for Lily and Freddie...

I was hoping the PC would bring along someone more senior for Elizabeth. But she wasn't even there.

MrsCampbellBlack · 15/01/2014 19:28

George is what 8 or 9 - of course he'd figure out that Ed killed Bas and had been very vocal about not liking dogs on the farm.

Am sure will has maybe said something but seems silly of Ed to yet again not take any responsibility for what he did.

LondonMother · 15/01/2014 19:30

I have a nasty feeling some person from the world of Young People's Music has expressed a desire to be shoehorned into The Archers in the same way that they have found room in the past for Princess Margaret, Terry Wogan, Alan Titchmarsh, John Peel and various others I can't remember now. This person will be the headline act at the Music Festival and we will have to endure a toecurling scene where they try to read a few lines out in an actorish way.

There are, of course, a few actors who can also sing and play. Johnny Depp is one such. I would make an exception for a storyline that brought Johnny Depp to Ambridge. He is, after all, thinking about playing George Formby in a film.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 19:41

Johnny Depp as George Formby? ShockConfusedGrin- can he really do a Lancashire accent? (Generic 'northern' won't really do)

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/01/2014 19:45

There'll be an AmEx.....

With Rosa and Jamie and Dan etc.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 19:47

Oh.... yoof...

I'd have thought a Music Festival at Lower Loxley would be more likely to be jazz.

Graceparkhill · 15/01/2014 19:50

Surely a music festival would take months to organise and "big name acts" will be booked up well in advance.
Nice to hear Roy back though. I seemed to remember/ imagine he and Lizzy were getting close after she fled from Nifty Ifty.
Could be Ambridge's first EA with Hayley being advised to LTB

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 19:53

after she fled from Nifty Ifty.
did she? I totally missed that, was wondering where he was (perhaps only appears in cricket season)
