OP posts:
Shallishanti · 31/01/2014 19:11

oh no! peggy is being won over

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/01/2014 19:13

I can remember a time before it got this bad Ed, it was before you accidentally slept with and fell in love with your brother's wife!

Oopsie.

OMG Rob - you are so not in any position to offer your thanks

Shallishanti · 31/01/2014 19:14

yes- bit of a pause there-
oh puke! 'I've won the lottery'

GypsyFloss · 31/01/2014 19:14

Blueurgh Rob you are such a creep. I can't believe Peggy has fallen for this tripe.

GypsyFloss · 31/01/2014 19:15

I only hope that Jess comes back to kick ass

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/01/2014 19:15

Oh dear, Peggy just doesn't want to admit her decision re. her legacy was wrong so she has to 'like' Rob I reckon.

Think I live in Borcetshire, or environs, and believe me it is wet, fields are underwater, farmers would be being affected. We've not heard much of lambing this year either, bet the sheep have foot rot.

Bleugh. Peggy doesn't want to know the truth, as long as Hellin looks respectable and Henry has a 'dad'

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 31/01/2014 19:17

Seriously - am I allowed to use the phrase "stupid cow" on a nice polite thread like this?

Angry
WillieWaggledagger · 31/01/2014 19:18

minimammoth what is the temperature like? they keep going on about how cold it is, but round my way (home counties rural-ish) it's been relatively warm. you would think they would have inserted something topical about the rain, they often do

hoboken · 31/01/2014 19:25

According to the quiz I am Jenny Dahling shoots self

Iwantacampervan · 31/01/2014 19:29

Rob was awful 'I've won the lottery', pass the bucket please!

I like the way that the amount of Susan's win has snowballed - when she and Neil return then everyone will be expecting them to have millions.

BasketzatDawn · 31/01/2014 19:35

Winter, if you'd said 'walk back from the pub' you might have been Pat. Like me. Possibly worse? Maybe? I was Clarrie as second.

Sorry that Peggy was won over so readily. but she is a very old lady. Maybe we should cut her some slack?

Did the bad blood between Ed and Will not date from before the 'wife swapping' and Will's windfall? Wasn't Clarrie saying in last year or so how they never got on as young boys? If that had happened here, as the mother, I'd have left long ago I think.

BasketzatDawn · 31/01/2014 19:38

Further, at what point was the accident when Emur's leg got badly hurt? Was this not before she was stepping out with Will? If my memory serves, which it possibly doesn't, then she was Ed's then, they split up after the accident, she then chose Will, and the rest is more recent history.

CarolineKnappShappey · 31/01/2014 19:42

Has Peggy taken leave of her senses? For someone who is supposed to be a shrewd old thing, she's being very dense about Rob.

I really hope we don't have to wait too long for Jess to spill done home truths.

And I'm still team Ed. Because Will still goes on about financial security, when it's just his inheritance. But more importantly Ed has tried to build bridges or be kind over the years and Will has always thrown it back in his face.

Bluestocking · 31/01/2014 19:45

I'm sure you can use the phrase "stupid cow", Zero, especially if it was about Piggoi. Daft old bat falling for Rob's smarm. And Ben the cat clearly has no discrimination either. That "I feel as though I've won the lottery, being with Helen" line was truly sickening.

PseudoBadger · 31/01/2014 19:48

Everyone has to be won over by Rob for the storyline to work. Once the shit starts Helen will be too embarrassed to tell anyone and it could be a long running SL.
Or... we've all misjudged him and he's totally spiffing.

First tony, now clarrie - what's happening? Don't they know how unsettling and confusing it is when a voice changes?!

BasketzatDawn · 31/01/2014 19:59

The new Clarrie (who is actually an 'old' clarrie, as the same actor did Clarrie about 10 years ago) was introduced several months ago, I think. I like the new Tony. Sadly, I realise the things I disliked about Old Tony (his kind of breathless talk) was possibly due to the actor being ill. I've almost forgotten him now. something to be said for poor memory. Perhaps!

barbarianoftheuniverse · 31/01/2014 20:01

Ppeat, thank you I appreciate that. They are putting a lot of effort into Darryl I must say cf. the far more lovely Jazza.
Basketz , I trust you are joking. But I hope not. I like to think there is a small business specializing in hosing the local gentry off the ancestral flags.

ErrolTheDragon · 31/01/2014 20:03

Or... we've all misjudged him and he's totally spiffing.
No.... his behaviour at Jess's party and the fishy aftermath showed his true colours.

PseudoBadger · 31/01/2014 20:06

Definitely Errol

GypsyFloss · 31/01/2014 20:14

We have got to have the other side of Rob coming out or I will be very pissed off that once again the writers just dump story lines when they get interesting.

My concern is they might excuse Rob's behaviour at the party as unhappy man who just needed to be with his true love.As opposed to the menacing git that we all heard.
