Hellin will be persuaded to sign the Lodge over to Rob, so he can "make the best of Henry's investment"... then she'll have to put up with him as he turns nasty because she can't get him out. (This will be in 5 years or so when Peggy goes.)

Not really, they will just go on for ages... I remember when Mike met Vicky, I thought she was going to run off with his money/murder him but no, just domestic bliss amid mild mutterings from Brendurr.

Does Peggy know about the couple of the year yet? That should be a good scene she'll probably take back her bequest knowing that Hellin has found a REAL man!!!

I was thinking last night that Rob's wish to 'get to know' Helen's family is so he can work out the best ways to isolate her from them, convince her it's HellRob against the rest of the world (he's most of the way there already with that one), and also have the Sainted Henry so attached to him that Helen won't want to upset Henry by rocking the boat.

yes and if rob is there when helen sees peggy then he has control over the conversation

I know its pretty much team ed on here but honestly, he needs to take a step back re. He needs to relax a bit, carry on having a nice relationship with George but stop trying to buy his affections. Honestly, the whole new puppy at christmas was always a silly idea. I'd love to know how much they paid for Holly too - any ideas anyone? Or was she free courtesy of the Ambridge fairy.

George isn't a small child any more -he'll pick up on stuff and play both Will and Ed off against each other.

I actually think Emma has been very level-headed about it all - I get the impression she doesn't actually think Will has been doing lots of winding up but she feels she has to back Ed out of loyalty.

I'm no great financial expert but surely it's poor planning to allow the main breadwinner to work outside in winter in torn footwear - when you have a brand new cheque for £500 just itching to help you out? What if Ed gets really ill? I'm loving the "new" Archers but I wish they'd drop this nonsense....

I'm getting the feeling that as Ed snr. becomes more and more unrealistically 'good' so Ed jnr is becoming very neurotic approaching OCD I'd say. I'm not that keen on Will but he's George's dad and apart from upsetting Emm would it be soo terrible if he lived with his dad for a while? It would give Neil and Susan a bit of a break too,

I wonder if Nic would want George all the time - I mean Poppy is still very small.

Yes, I wondered the same thing.... Nic has her hands full already with three children in the house and her work. And she would be very sensitive to Emma's feelings.

I can see George asking and being turned down after Nic has had a serious conversation with Will.

Or he could set Holly on Darrell, drive him out of his newly refurbished van and move into it himself.

I think the scriptwriters have been reading threads here and Helen and Rob will run for years and years and pregnancies and goodness knows what before culminating in a terrifying finale when she finally leaves. By which time we will all be exhausted.

She is SO going to be up the duff soon. Remember this is the woman who conceived the wonderchild on one shot (as it were) of sperm donation.

Have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation between Pat and Lillian last night - so caring, yet with all those unintentional (??) little barbs about Pat & Tonys financial acumen

I am beginning to think the Rob/Hellin situation might be something to do with Henry,about him wanting him to transfer his affections to Rob. He seems very keen on his future. And he's always saying 'why don't we take Henry ?' Did he want children with Jess and they couldn't? Of course it could just be to ingratiate himself with Hellin....
