Artex IMO you've go a lot of faith in human nature if you reckon it would be 'the only dairy in Borsetshire presided over by adulterers' (of course we both may be overthinking TA Grin)

SthingMustBeScaringThemAway · 13/11/2013 19:17

Ha! If Peggy wants Helen to "complete her little family" we'd better assume it will happen. One way or another.....

And who was it who said Jess might be led to be suspicious of Rob and Kirstie? Good call.... Probably.

Gigondas · 14/11/2013 09:19

Yes the family ref was very heavy handed.

Also when she was waxing lyrical about love's young dream with the first jack, I got confused as didn't he turn into a feckless drunk.

I still wonder if Kirsty won't threaten to pull out pantomime or lover boy to step in as robin instead.

I have to say rob has more front than Brighton as clearly doesn't seem to think his affair is known by anyone.

And groan at comedy storyline of dave and the anniversary secret. But at least we know now that Darrell's tipple of choice is cider with amazing acid power.

Still don't reckon they will get shot of him from stables and bound to be some debacle with Daniel and darell . I loved the tight lipped way Jill discussed him when Eddie asked I the shop.

happystory · 14/11/2013 10:07

'More front than Brighton' Grin never heard that before!!!

JessieMcJessie · 14/11/2013 10:23

To be fair to Artex, ppeatfruit, I think it was the Brine/Rob/Sam triumvirate that was unique!

bansheekipper · 14/11/2013 11:22

Presumably Daz purchased his gut rot cider in the village shop. For some reason I never thought it would be THAT kind of shop....

Panzee · 14/11/2013 12:30

No wonder he's skint, buying his booze there!

ppeatfruit · 14/11/2013 13:04

True jessie Grin BTW does everyone know that Mustardland is back? I was listening to play it again and reading Joanna Toye's promotion of her new book and it came up the page. I was never on it so I don't know it disappeared at all?

LondonMother · 14/11/2013 13:11

Mustardland used to refer to the BBC messageboard, ppeatfruit, but it is also the name of a messageboard set up by Peet, one of the old TA board users. Was it this that came up? If so, that's Peet's site. There are various ways of configuring it if you're a registered user and one way makes it look like the BBC board did many years ago, ie vivid mustard colour. (I'm registered but have hardly used it.)

ppeatfruit · 14/11/2013 13:22

No it looked different to that london but they're using the same colour, sort of round the edges of centre white messages IFYSWIM. There was an interesting listener opinion bit Grin

LondonMother · 14/11/2013 13:50

Ooh! Do you have a link?

LondonMother · 14/11/2013 13:51

Was it this one? That's another board set up by a former user of the BBC MB, confusingly also called Mustardland.

ppeatfruit · 14/11/2013 14:01

No! how many are there? I can't/won't do links sorry. If you've got the Listen Again thing on your computer it's on TA site.

PrincessFiorimonde · 15/11/2013 00:54

I was quite surprised to hear that Darrell destroyed the videos with cider. Even the apple-free version of that drink (i.e. White Lightning and the like) surely is not so acidic as to wreck videos? Couldn't Shula just hang the spilt-on things out to dry?

ppeatfruit · 15/11/2013 09:33

Yes Princess Also there are professionals who can rescue damaged videos. I'm sure shula could afford it Grin.

TheSilveryPussycat · 15/11/2013 10:16

Yes, she didn't think twice at paying airport food prices and extending car parking - although Daniel turned down the offer.

ppeatfruit · 15/11/2013 10:52

And I've never known a poor vet!!

Gigondas · 15/11/2013 11:32

All very true but the way conversation about housing was going with alistair I don't hold out much hope of Darrell finding something himself.
How illona put up with the pathetic specimen is beyond me- the bit about not doing banking !!

Lilymaid · 15/11/2013 11:44

" I've never known a poor vet!"
But dear old Al nearly bankrupted them a few years back with his gambling debts.

SthingMustBeScaringThemAway · 15/11/2013 11:51

Darrell actually sounded seriously ill last night. I was amazed that Alistair didn't seek medical help. Can't recall if Darrell has started taking anti-depressants or not - I hope the memory loss and general not really there-ness are side effects and not something more sinister.

But I'm glad Daniel was relaxed about it all.

CuttedUpPear · 15/11/2013 12:08

Thank god the event that was scheduled to Shake Ambridge To Its Core was narrowly averted last night.

Shula: "Darryl is staying at the Stables" (quakes with fear as her relationship with her only son teeters on the edge of ruin)
Daniel: "Yeah no problem" (the whole of Borsetshire breathes a collective sigh of relief and the SWs turn their attention to the next non-event)

ppeatfruit · 15/11/2013 15:58

Yes but Cutted he effing knew that Darryl was there (have only just heard it Grin. Daniel is sooo laid back he's nearly horizontal he must take after Mark Grin D'you know what went through my (admittedly dirty) mind ? Him and Emma Shock!!!!

SthingMustBeScaringThemAway · 15/11/2013 16:05

ShockShockShock

Grin
SthingMustBeScaringThemAway · 15/11/2013 16:08

Although tbf they made sure to let us know that Daniel is in touch with Rosa

Imagine desperate Darrell's heartless offspring as châtelaine of The Stables. Shockagain.
