New thread for the beginning of the pheasant season.

And Jazzer must use a milk bottle!

PseudoBadger · 23/10/2013 21:02

Are you saying Jazzer has a chipolata?

OP posts:
CuttedUpPear · 23/10/2013 21:07

The SWs definitely DO know we are listeners - do you hear the announcement that you could get involved and ask the SWs a question?
Didn't hear the whole thing though, perhaps someone could listen again and enlighten us.

Swannykazoo · 23/10/2013 21:13

Wank mitten or special sports sock for Jazzer? David and Ruth are definite penis beaker people Panzee. Shula is a "pull my nightie back down when you're done dear."
I heart having somewhere to chat Archers

Panzee · 23/10/2013 21:22

This is what the Telegraph was talking about, isn't it?

Innocent Archers chit chat descends into filth... :o

GypsyFloss · 23/10/2013 21:54

I reckon Jazzer's is more of a deep fried mars bar than chipolata myself.

GrendelsMum · 23/10/2013 21:57

Yes, I heard tonight's epi and thought 'that's aimed at us struggling Mumsnetters swearing at our babies while we hurl saucepans at the radio'.

Did feel a bit public information broadcast, but actually I really like the idea that she's struggling now that Brenda's moved away.

Panzee · 23/10/2013 21:59

Despite his bluster I can imagine Jazzer being very considerate. He would definitely "be there" for you Wink

Sthingmustbescaringthemaway · 23/10/2013 22:10

I turn my back for a couple of nights.....

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 24/10/2013 08:12

I am worried about Jill
Twice on their jaunt she was a bit wobbly behind the wheel.

Gigondas · 24/10/2013 08:21

If they do kill Jill off properly that will be good as people seem to be written out then it mentions they are dead (will be what say to jack).

ErrolTheDragon · 24/10/2013 09:57

I reckon the Jill will have an accident which doesn't kill her but seriously injures or kills someone else.

Panzee · 24/10/2013 10:31

Well it has been at least a week since the last coma/hospital vigil.

PseudoBadger · 24/10/2013 11:10

Hopefully Pipsqueak will pop back to be involved in that... :o

Or it will turn out that Jill needs new glasses.

Re DTD styles, I seem to recall Shula and ?Nigel??? DTD in a field in her younger days.

heronsfly · 24/10/2013 13:29

I agree with 'puss', all it will come too is that Jill finally needs glasses.

TheSilveryPussycat · 24/10/2013 14:05

or maybe cataract op?

Re Jeck: he should linger on till Peggy's alter ego bows out - she lived through her partner's Alzheimer's, and gave her experience to the scriptwriters. So let her off having to act Peggy's grief, I say.

JessieMcJessie · 25/10/2013 05:38

Yay, I said that Helen should confide in Tom and so far he's been a model supportive brother. If perhaps out-of-character observant... but then Kirsty has changed him a bit, Pat noticed the other day.

My take on Jill's bad driving is that it was just a bit of light comedy- saintly Jill, stalwart of the village, domestic Goddess, fun granny and Friend to Bees has a flaw- she is a crap driver. I expect she always has been.

Gigondas · 25/10/2013 05:45

I agree that Jill thing was comedy relief as was a flash if the old joe drinking too much cider.

Fear that Helen confiding in Tom means months of her moping. Am stunned that we have sensitive Tom when he was such a bell end and so oblivious with Brenda. Also saying sensible stuff! Maybe it is down to Kirsty.

As for Helen knowing what she got herself in for, I doubt that Hmm.

TheSilveryPussycat · 25/10/2013 09:42

I thought the shift in Tom was that he realised something of what Helen felt, because he remembered how he himself felt when Brenda ended it. Though of course there were differences - Tom got angry about Rob being married etc but managed to hold most of it back, I thought.

Sthingmustbescaringthemaway · 25/10/2013 10:14

Poor Darrell. He seems to have completely given up on life. I wonder if he is planning to disappear - or worse.

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 25/10/2013 10:27

How OLD is Jill??

Sthingmustbescaringthemaway · 25/10/2013 11:04

Answer here!

TheSilveryPussycat · 25/10/2013 11:15

Same age as my DM :)

curlew · 25/10/2013 11:24

I'm just glad that Bethany doesn't appear to have the Ambridge type of Down's a Syndrome that has absolutely no effect on her development at all. Just like Abby's Ambridge prematurity, Jazzer's Ambridge brain damage, Chris and Adam's Ambridge comas, Ruth's Ambridge cancer, Helen's Ambridge eating disorder and Brian's Ambridge extra marital affairs. Oh, and Wolfgang's Ambridge TB. Which, to be fair, had a pretty drastic effect on his development, but didn't seem to be able to cross a fence.
