Had to turn off the last couple of minutes of TA tonight....yeeeuchh! I do not want to think of Hellin and Rob getting it on. It's almost as bad as hearing Lillian and her (deaded) fancy man smooching - ergghh.

I did like the continuity announcer's wry little remark after the end of TA last night. Of course, having the short-term memory of a salt cellar, I've now forgotten what it was.

Helen and Rob - oh God. I've scarcely recovered from the months of 'Oh Paul! Oh Lilian!' and now we've got months and months of 'Oh Helen! Oh Rob!' and associated moaning, slurping and sighing to contend with. Please, please, SWs, no grunting - I think it would tip me over the edge.

Londonmother I think it was "I hope Ian laid off the garlic" or summat like that. We love that continuity announcer's comments! And are equally miffed at those who don't even bother to read out the teaser for tomorrow's episode (yes, I know we should get a life...)

Two things...

1. the actress who plays Kathy only likes addicts who are not in anyway critical of the show, she made comment on the AA message boards that the BBC MB was nasty etc.

2. Any one else having awful flash backs to THAT shower scene.....aaarrrggghhhh2

Angua, yes indeed, Hedli Niklaus/Kathy makes what I imagine is a useful additional extra income out of running Archers Addicts so of course she loves them! I always found Archers Addicts a bit bland for my taste.

Years ago in the days of steam driven dialup I went to the AA site and got throw into Red Hot Lesbian Lovers, site had been hijacked.. aprt from that it is far too bland....

That's interesting homeless so the actress is as daft as her character (i wasn' t on Mustardland).

Oh yes ppeatfruit. It was out of order, board host was aksed to 'ava word' by the posters. not sure of the outcome.

As much as I dislike her, I love it when TA does affairs. Loads of near misses etc...and Jess will have to appear at sometime so there can be A Showdown.

The Jess showdown will be nothing compared to when Pat and Tony find out. I'm looking forward to that.

On recent form, when TA does affairs it is the worst thing ever....

Maybe Tony will employ Matt's heavy man to see Rob off?

I must be getting old (or prudish) because i was sat listening the the episode last night thinking that the scenes were way too cringeworthy to be on while i'm sat eating dinner with the DC.

Oh but lots of my best-remembered Archers memories are affairs. Brine and Siobbhan and the resulting Ruarrridddhh. Sid and Jolene. Shula and dr bloke. We haven't had a decent affair for ages (Lilian and Paul obviously got very whingy).

I am so glad I missed the Hellin/Rob slurpfest. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. You could see it coming though. I'm another one who thinks Hellin will end up pregnant, possibly with Rob leaving Ambridge for good when he finds out.

Enough of Kathy already, I want to scream every time I hear her whiny voice.

The nudity last night was way too much for me. The pictures are definitely not better on the radio.

Why on earth don't they just do the mature thing and talk about whether his marriage is really over and, if not, why not? After all he was talking about his marriage on the evening thy they first got it on, and I don't think it was a ploy as such, well, it was wrong of him to call Helen round to talk to about it when he knew he had the hots for her, but I don't think he was making it up.

All the talk of scars made it sound, just for a moment, as if Jess might be, er... violent. But then they moved on so I'm probably wrong. (Although it would explain why Rob was so flustered when she was supposed to be arriving the weekend before.)
I do wish Helen had more self-esteem.
