Yes, Janet was a lovely vicar, and very revolutionary for Ambridge having a woman priest, however lots of people gave her a hard time and refused to go to her services, you Peggy, I mean you. I am trying to remember why she finally left, but she had a lovely soothing voice. When Alan arrived he was really exciting with his leathers and bad ass ( ish) biker/vicar attitude
- but as you say, has been rather emasculated and had to change his ways to fit in with Ambridge's parochial outlook :( - tho' I guess marrying Usha was pretty in your face for Ambridge.
I guess the Daryl/Darrell story will drag on ,until a) Shula offers him a straw bed in a manger in one of her stables (!) - Christmassy, b) Eric finally beats him to a pulp ( imagine the collective guilt) or c) Ilona, under pressure from Rosa, has him back again - or d) Peggy/Jack die and leave them all a massive inheritance. Yeah, right.
