I watch Downton abbey and I swear that the butler said 'sorry won't butter no parsnips'! In fact I reckon TA SWs moonlight as DA SWs they both SHOULD be better but as Something said their A levels results must 've disappointed everyone Grin very grim!!!!

shrinkingnora · 01/10/2013 09:45

I have decided to listen every day. 'Cause I am back to being properly addicted, dammit.

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 01/10/2013 09:48

I listen at the end of the day as I go to sleep so often miss the cliff hangers.

shrinkingnora · 01/10/2013 11:20

That's what I did last night but I went to bed at 9.15 so I wouldn't fall asleep. Just made it. Only just, mind.

HerbertGistcool · 01/10/2013 17:36

Can you include the word Archers in the thread title please as that way it shows up on searches.

PseudoBadger · 01/10/2013 17:38

It is in this title....

something like 'Helen Archer's Big Farmer won't butter no parsnips'?

PseudoBadger · 01/10/2013 17:55

Helen gets her parsnips buttered by big farma - discuss the archers here....

OP posts:
Somethingyesterday · 01/10/2013 18:02

"Is Big Farma still buttering Helen's parsnips? - Come and abuse The Archers here..." Grin

PseudoBadger · 01/10/2013 18:05

"Does big farma have a big parsnip? Butter it here"
That may be a step too far...

OP posts:
ErrolTheDragon · 01/10/2013 18:07

I do hope a SW happens across this and works in a sly bit of double entendre on this theme Grin

choccyp1g · 01/10/2013 18:09

The big question of course is is he still buttering his wife's parsnips?

I think he has no intention of splitting up with her, because even if he hasn't got round to telling the wife yet, he only has to mention in the shop that his marriage is over, and it would be all round the village, and he could be seen in public with Helen after a decent interval.

Somethingyesterday · 01/10/2013 18:09
Grin
Somethingyesterday · 01/10/2013 18:21

Big Farma, miniscule parsnip?

MrsCampbellBlack · 01/10/2013 19:07

God, could emmur be any more of a bitch - I do find her friendship with Helen unbelievable. Especially as Helen and nick were meant to be friends weren't they?

kiriwawa · 01/10/2013 19:12

Emmur is a whiney miserable cow. She treats Nic like she is the OW, forgetting that she was the one that was shagging her husband's brother before and during her marriage

Someone should have A Word

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 01/10/2013 21:34

oh, she's just jealous of Nic because Clarrie likes her better (& who wouldn't? Hmm)

HerbertGistcool · 02/10/2013 08:55

Lots of lovely suggestions . Pseudo - I meant can we have it in the title AGAIN as its easy to spot in Active convos too.

ppeatfruit · 02/10/2013 09:59

I somehow get the impression that Rob's parsnip is not miniscule though something Wink Grin sorry

Emmuh is a beatch I reckon she now regrets going for Ed no money as opposed to will big money bags and she's jealous of Nic's good luck.

HumphreyCobbler · 02/10/2013 10:05

Emmmerrrr is a bitch but surely NO ONE would regret Will. He is a whinging, crap acting toe rag with controlling tendencies. Whereas Ed is clearly fit. Wink

I think she just regrets the money. I can never get over how pissed off I would be about the inheritance that was left to Will only by mistake if I were suffering the financial worries Ed and Emmmerr are.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 02/10/2013 10:07

Anyone else suspect that every single stage direction for Alan states 'Alan: [tactfully]'. And at the SW meeting, they have also decided that Alan's Response Will Be Tactful.

He is dripping with so much tact it makes me squirm.

HumphreyCobbler · 02/10/2013 10:10

I really find Alan annoying. I miss Janet.

HumphreyCobbler · 02/10/2013 10:17

OK, just listened to last night. Lord, Emmer IS a right old cow. Fancy being so rude about Poppy Sad

Somethingyesterday · 02/10/2013 10:17

And the sad thing is that Alan first appeared as a vigorous, intelligent breath of fresh air - encased in motorbike leather.....

They have emasculated him.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 02/10/2013 10:19

Alan: [in tactfully honeyed tones] eeeh, 'appen that canst mek use of me owld rucksack...
