I used to use one particular word until it came up as the answer. Now I use the first 5-letter word that comes to mind.

I have used the same word almost from the start, even though the Wordle Bot tells me every day that it isn’t very good. I’m going to change on New Year’s Day, even though I feel it’s tempting fate.

DH and I take turns choosing the starter word, so half the fun is trying to find a word we haven't used before. And then remembering it, as we pick a word in the evening to use the following morning.
