Hi there!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 27/01/2010 19:07

oh good!! it is lovely suit, must order another for luka actually.

all my ebay toys finishing now so lots of parcelling to do tonight. oh the joys!!

just ordered myself lovely jacket for spring tho out of new look (as they take paypal) rare treat something for ME!

maxybrown · 27/01/2010 19:54

I don't even enjoy ordering things for me anymore, how sad is that?! Mainly because I am a fat lump now I guess lol!

I am going up to that shop tomorrow to have a look at the baby joggers, ooh!!

nicolamumof3 · 27/01/2010 20:30

awww maxy don't be too hard on yourself. i felt huge today in new look i tried on some jeans which i bought and a hoody then saw this coat they only had size 10 so came back and found it online and ordered it. I NEVER do that.

its this one doesn't look much there but it was a really pretty colour and nice for spring. A bit trendy for me!!

5inthebed · 27/01/2010 20:35

Nicola that is a lovely coat. Wouldn't mind one myself.

Maxy, I am the same. I hate shopping for myself. I am desperate for some new jeans, as the three pairs I have are far too big. Bought them after I had DS2 in 2008. I have to wear a belt just to keep them up. I also feel guily buying myself something when the boys always need new stuff.

maxybrown · 27/01/2010 20:51

I don't seem to have the problem of jeans being too big atm ah sod it! I will do something about it this year! now I can walk lol! Dh gave me money to get myself some over pronation trainers so that's good!

nicolamumof3 · 27/01/2010 20:52

5in you are soooo lucky your jeans too big hun!! well done you tho. im so lazy must do something as only 4m til my hols now and i really want to drop a size by then.

Well two pairs of my jeans have now got wholes in the knees so bought myself pair reduced in new look sale today for a tenner! DH couldn't believe i'd bought something for me.

Maxy can't wait for full report on Babyjogger. Bloody courier never turned up today for XLR. i didn't feel any remorse packing it up def happy with quest. And luka slept in it today.

maxybrown · 27/01/2010 21:00

Yes can't wait myself!!

5inthebed · 27/01/2010 21:29

I've bought a stunning dress in the Monsoon sale, reduced from £95 to £18! Bought it 2 sizes smaller, so really need to lose those lbs before May so I can wear it to a wedding.

I saw some lovely New Balance sesame street trainers in TKMaxx, but didn't have any in the sizes I wanted.

I fancy some of those excercise trainers, the ones that tome your bum as you walk. Might buy some, and I want Fit Flops for the summer.

maxybrown · 27/01/2010 22:01

oh god I can't wear flit flops they killed my feet!

I am getting my fancy new trainers, then goign to get exercising! they have some in the dreaded sports soccor - or whatever their name is these days. Will have to fight my way through as they are much cheaper in there, prob last seasons or something!

I may then start pulling my clothes out from the loft

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/01/2010 10:14

Hi all.
I had the kaiser on the xt today as it was freezing here yesterday. Hoiked it right up to try and stop it rubbing on the wheels. So DD was very cosy even though in fact it's mild again.
The weather forecast promised cold north winds.
I need new trainer type shoe things as mine are knackered. I find they are the most comfortable of all my footwear. I would also like some black jeans but again I can't spend the money on myself.
Maxy don't rush to buy a bjcc as I am very tempted to sell you mine. Just worried that it will snow as soon as I do. Of course it would be lovely to have a nice shiny new one especially at that price.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 28/01/2010 10:52

ooh Dunoon!! I was hoping to go and look at it today but not sure I can go out today now. grrr.

Well I have decided we aren't having any more snow now this year so there, you should be fine!! Ha ha ha. Oh I know what you mean, but if you are dithering over letting it go then you should perhaps keep it for a while longer than regret it. As much as I would love to have a shiny new one, one for cheaper could be even better - but I want to have no influence over your decision

Where is everyone today?

carrielou2007 · 28/01/2010 11:11

Morning, just popping on between more visitors . Lovely but how many more?!!!

After I take dd to playgroup going to register ds birth today if his dad can get away from work (he's always late).

Ds is such a chilled out baby I'm really lucky as dd was eyes open feedingor screaming for the first three months I was like a zombie!

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/01/2010 11:42

Ha carrielou I may pop down and drop in! In fact lets all go and visit carrielou.
Bjcc does not have raincover maxy just in case that might sway it. Off to check long range forecast.

OP posts:
pebbles79 · 28/01/2010 12:05

Carrie, boys are so much more chilled in my experience, lol! If DD had been my first, she'd have also been the last! My boys were fantastic babies and Zoey was a diva from the minute she was born.

nicolamumof3 · 28/01/2010 12:10

Glad all's going well carrielou. Tom was a screamer but he was a poorly baby he had urinary reflux which took 7weeks to diagnose so was stressful newborn stage. But went on to be a dream toddler!

Tate and Luka were both lovely babies very chilled out luka would sit in his chair all day or be on mat etc just watching everything v.content.

maxybrown · 28/01/2010 12:18

they don't come with them dunoon, so actually would be more money on top of the "bargain" price

Oh yes carrilou, stick the kettle on would you?

The thing I found hardest is that everyone comes to see you when they are little, then it all stops and all of a sudden you're on your own.

My friend has just taken her first foster child on, she is 4 weeks old. their daughter is almost 17 so i musy check how she's getting on, bit of a culture shock I imagine!

nicolamumof3 · 28/01/2010 12:21

oh wow i bet!!

been toddler group this morning they were making pizza's boys loved that.used muffins instead of pizza bases never thought of that!

going to my friends after school she is doing boys tea so that saves me mess/a job! Landlord still here doing bloody shower! The mess is soooo annoying and keep leaving front door open grrr.

no sign of courier yet for xlr wonder why he didn't come yesterday?

whats everyone up to today?

maxybrown · 28/01/2010 12:26

I am sat around feeling a bit yuk annoyingly.

Might get motivavted and go and look at baby jogger or may just clean - oh the decisions!

Just had some Boden things arrive, why do they insist on rolling some things up? It is so creased it looks like it has been dragged out of someone's dirty washing basket it's hard to tell if I like it or not as it just looks so scruffy! plus got him some more sailing trousers, got age 3 as next jump up from 18/24 which he is in now........they drown him!!! I can't even get the waist tight enough on him, they just drop down looks like I will have to leave boden trousers for a while if they are all like that. damn them!

Then, got some short dungarees from Next age 2/3 can hardly fasten them on him, they are slightly smaller than a Next 12/18 month pair I have here from last year. So bloomin annoying.

Sorry rant over

nicolamumof3 · 28/01/2010 12:39

Maxy im soooo with you with Next sizing so bloody random! Also bought Tate some 4/5 stuff out of marks and its getting small on him. Why can't sizes be the same grrr. Rant over too.

right off to light fire and lunch these little boys!

5inthebed · 28/01/2010 18:44

I thought I'd replied on this thread earlier, but it's disappeared, how strange.

I've been really down today, think I was just tired as had an hours nap before and feel a bit better. Went on my card making course and counldn't concentrate, my card I made today was crap a la crap.

Did you get to look at the BJCC Maxy?

nicolamumof3 · 28/01/2010 18:55

i've got my first every neg on ebay i can't believe it. really want to respond but feel it would then escalate would do you think girls?

maxybrown · 28/01/2010 18:58

No I didn't 5in, not too well so didn't get out. Hopefully DH taking me on Saturday - and john lewis You never know, Dunoon might sell me hers before I get there

Oh no Nicola, did they not contact you at all first?

maxybrown · 28/01/2010 19:01

ok, I've seen it. Surely they must have contacted you first about that kind of thing? i wouldn't dream of leaving negative feedback before trying to resolve it.

nicolamumof3 · 28/01/2010 19:03

they sent me a message saying they wouldn't leave any feedback as disappointed one vehicle arrived with a sharp bit sticking out. i don't know about this at all. you know i wouldn't sell something broken. Anyway i just didn't reply as they didn't ask for a response and that is all they said that they wouldn't be leaving feedback. i did intend to i just forgot to reply so my fault there. But anyway 5 vehicles broken? im really annoyed as they weren't at all. but obviously yes they had been played with they weren't brand bloody new but they were in exc.cond and you know how fussy i am. I can't ever remember getting a neg before. did you see listing too?

maxybrown · 28/01/2010 19:08

Yes I did. I would email them tbh and say sorry you didn't reply to their earlier message of about ONE toy being broken. And that they gave the impression they were just informing you etc (well as you said to us) say you are a little confused as to why they are now saying 5 are broken yet they didn't ask you if something could be sorted out BEFORE leaving feedback....maybe?
