Nappy I have bought a few liners off that lady. She makes lovely ones . I have Postman Pat and Bob for DS2's major. They are realy nice.

DS2 is in Reception at MS and has full 1:1. He was 4 in August, so is the baby of the class. I wanted to defer him for a year, but his EP said it woul make no difference. Our LA, you can defer for a year, and they don't go into year 1 but Reception, if that makes sense.

DS1 was 3yrs 4 months when he started nursery that was attached to his school, and he was one of the first to be made full time (they only have a few spaces) and is in all top sets for his learning. I honestly don't know why there is such a big stigma about younger children starting school as clearlyit didn't do DS1 any harm being one of the youngest. But I suppose it depends on the child as well.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 08/12/2009 19:20

I think 5in i still see luka as my 'baby' thats why. His speech is delayed, he's very shy, i want him with me i suppose, but i can't can i, i've got to let go

i feel really tearful just thinking about Tate starting and its still another 9m away. i didn't feel like this about Tom at all. V.strange!!!

5inthesleighbed · 08/12/2009 19:25

Do you maybe think its because Tom seemed more grown up than the younger two at their age? I know I feel DS1 is older than he is.

You've got ages left with Luka as well, stop fretting

maxybrown · 08/12/2009 19:26

I know what you mean Nicola - I just don't feel like that, maybe it is the only thing? hence you not being too worried with Tom? I worry about James and his speech, but also know that he will thrive in a setting like that and really needs it. He loves to be doing. Today he went into the kitchen, pushed a chair over climbed up to get the bread, got a plate out and put 2 slices on. Looked in the drawer for a knife (they were all on the drainer though) shrugged and climbed down with his bread and went and ate it. See, he doesn't need me anyway sob sob.

whats happened maxy?

Luka going to nursery has done wonders for his speech. We dropped tate off today and luka said to the teacher 'not my turn now, tates turn now' thats a long sentence for a boy who would only say mama dada a couple months ago. he's coming on so fast. his understanding too. i said owww earlier as he sat on my leg and he said im sorry mummy i will kiss you now!! v.cute.

I don't know about the only child thing tho. Tom was an only child for six years. i think the worrying comes with age!! i was only 23 when i had tom, i was much more care free, and very much still had my own life, busy career etc. i was much more independent of tom and less mummyfied if that makes sense? maybe as i was a single parent and proving myself doing it all?

carrielou2007 · 08/12/2009 20:44

maxybrown · 08/12/2009 21:22

I'm no spring chicken!! I am just chilled I think I don't get the oh where has my baby gone thing. I'm not really into babies My sister is so mamby pamby with hers that I think I make an effort to be over harsh I'm not worried about him going to school, am thinking about geting a special countdown calender don't get me wrong, I am not wishing his life away, just the more he can do for hmself the better I say!! I am mean, that's all.I will be the one cheering at the gate, not getting a tissue out shall we say! I love him to pieces though.

I hope it does bring his speech on, his understanding is fabulous, already knows far too much. Little.........darling.

I think I am extra harsh tonight as boring it has been a bloody nightmare. DS has been a true toddler in every sense and Dh well. No bless him. It is just a long boring stories involving cars and time and not checking things properly! i love him to pieces too

nicolamumof3wisemen · 08/12/2009 21:49

awww glad im good for something hunnie!!

5inthesleighbed · 08/12/2009 21:53

I dislike blokes in general MAxy, they have the same affect on me.

Bexie, I was lucky enough to bypass the tubbies in this house. Now if it was ITFNG .......

BexieID · 08/12/2009 22:11

Hehe, well I LOVED watching Teletubbies when it was first on (and when I was at college). I got the seude type figures which I kept in case I had kids and Toms obsessed with the DVD I bought from Nicola. Have got him the xmas one, but was after a few more bits. Tom doesn't like ITNG as much as he did, prefers Waybuloo and Teletubbies. Want a pack of Waybuloo figures but they don't do any yet!

sal1309 · 09/12/2009 08:25

good morning all

hope your all well havent read back yet.

Does anyone know if it costs more to send to dublin than standard uk delivery?

StrictlyKatty · 09/12/2009 08:32

Yeah I think it does Sal, you'll need to ask at the P.O I doubt very much you could just pop it in the post with a normal stamp.

janxmas · 09/12/2009 09:11

Morning all - lots of talk about sch - I can't even think of Luka and sch - seems like a long time in the future. Still getting my head round Frida being in reception. She is thriving and so independent - always has been, when she was little we would go to todler groups and she would be off - just coming back if she needed something, never one to sit on my knee - I used to miss it when all the other kids were being shy - she was always so forward and confident - much more than when I was her age.

Dp and I are having a talk this morning after drop offs - he is taking the day off and I am still off sick

Thanks for all your best wishes and hugs

nicolamumof3wisemen · 09/12/2009 10:06

Hope everythings ok Janx thinking of you....

Sal what you sending? is it RM or courier?

janxmas · 09/12/2009 10:25

Dp just got back...and now the sch has rang saying Frida isn't well.....this chat is never going to happen

nicolamumof3wisemen · 09/12/2009 10:37

we are doing our xmas tree, can we have piccies of trees up?

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/12/2009 10:40

horsemadgal · 09/12/2009 10:42
