Basl, could you put pics on a trail please? How much would you be wanting?

nicola, don't worry about giving him 2nd hand toys. The 2 wooden train sets I got off ebay are 2nd hand, and cost a fraction of the price they would have cost new. Have bought a new tunnel though to go with it, as Tom is obsessed with tunnels! I have got him other bits to open that are new as well.

maxybrown · 27/11/2009 20:08

Oh gosh, I must be a bad mummy nothing is new. Well ok he will have some new bits in his stocking, but they will only be very small bits....oh and prob the wallace and gromit dvd box set, but I am waiting for my £5 Amazon voucher I get from doing online surveys gosh it gets worse!

BexieID · 27/11/2009 20:08

Yep, 4 weeks till due date! LOL.

I had a letter about smear test but I get out of it for now, hehe.

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2009 20:09

anyone looking for wooden track, check out big jigs in independent toy shops, its fab and so so cheap, compatible with brio/tesco/ikea/wooden thomas etc.

maxybrown · 27/11/2009 20:11

someone just put a thread on voucher codes saying Aldi is doing full train set on Sunday for £19.99!!

StrictlyKatty · 27/11/2009 20:23

Evening all. I've got over my snow wheels moment of madness, they are totally pointless!

I've got very overboard with Christmas for DS but have saved for everything myself and bought a lot in September so has actually cost a lot less than it should have....

I'm getting very excited

Nicola Tate will love the mini micro, my DS is so good on it already and was only 21 months when we got it.

maxybrown · 27/11/2009 20:27

I think I frightened everyone off going now anyway! fare thee well!

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2009 20:27

i still have so much left to buy. most of DH's my parents, sil, brother and alot of toms...it goes on and on!!!

Tate is really good on mini micro he's used his friends and tried out in shop but i think luka will steal it!!

Divatheshopaholic · 27/11/2009 20:28

hiya,
nicola, i had trip to peacocks for xmas sacks, they had no sacks in stock, went matalan, and bought two sacks(one with angels, one with santa) and stocking for ds 3for2, so cost me 11pounds for 3.
i just need now to find some crafty felted letters

StrictlyKatty · 27/11/2009 20:30

I still have DH's to buy but it's a Bluray player so I've not got all the money for it yet

That's all though which is good. I'm really tempted though to get DS the Radio Flyer wagon and save the Pashley til the summer...

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2009 20:30

oh great, yes our peacocks were nearly sold out, dh got ours!

I want some nice handmade wooden or salt dough personalised tags, who can make those???!

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2009 20:32

i've become terribly distracted by boden spring preview tonight!! i must not spend, i must NOT!

Divatheshopaholic · 27/11/2009 20:56

nicola, i bet you bought bits

5inthebed · 27/11/2009 20:56

Aww Maxy, didn't scare me off, I was cooking. I'm made of stronger stuff ;)

Nothing wrong with 2nd hand stuff, its usally as good as the new stuff anyway. Most of DS3's baby stuff was 2nd hand and most of his clothes are.

Asda had Bourays in reduced to £99 today

5inthebed · 27/11/2009 20:57

Bluray even

basl · 27/11/2009 21:19

evening ladies, maxybrown i have to say first that your advice to nicola was spot on. The nipper was being picked up from the person i bought it from today and i have to say i don't know if i have done the best thing. I was out today with the bjce and i just love it. I mentioned at the toddler group i go to who think i have lost the plot that i am getting a nipper and they all shouted nooooo nooo your bjce is so nice and don't get rid just put up with the wheel being removed when leaving the house.
I will let you know how i get on. Are you still looking for a 360?
Nicola, can i offer a huge big hug as i feel exaclty the same and i think it is as you describe completely run down. I know exactly how you feel and i think all the advice given is so good. I am too scared to go to doctors as i think they will say lets get you on adps but i know i don't look after myself and spend way too much time on this bloody computer leaving me all stressed for the day and prams well this buying and selling carry on just drags me down but i just have to keep doing it. You sound like a very good mum and always like to hear about what you and your boys are up to. Be kind to yourself and shout out for help. I think the boys will appreciate a happy mum. It hit home for me when my olivia's nursery teacher asked if everything was ok at home when they were singing the wish song and all the kids where asked what they whised for and she said my little brother would stop crying and my mum would not be sad. Gut renching that was and i had a long chat with dh and things do have to change. I remember your new hairdo etc and i thought thats what i need and never done it, So nicola i do know how you feel and think we are in such a lovley crowd here and sure it will work out for the best. x

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2009 21:21

as you all know i buy secondhand all the time, but must admit this is the first secondhand present i've bought for the boys. it is just like new and im going to get nice box to put it in which will then double as a storage box

selling my autumn leaves buggysnuggle if anyone interested.

janx · 27/11/2009 21:23

Oh Nicola - I like that - will it be long enough for my Luka?

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2009 21:25

yes it would, my luka fits in it no probs tate even just fits in it and he's four next month just waiting to hear back on another forum if its sold. just looking at pics of it i don't know if i want to sell it, but found a pupabag i want from onelittlelion which will match my xlr!!

janx · 27/11/2009 21:28

I would definately like it Nicola ... can pay you tonight!

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2009 21:31

aww basl, that brought a lump to my throat, honestly how lovely.

dh asked when i got home did the doc give you anti'd's...he is really worried about me i know. i was so full of life when he met me outgoing and v.active as well as a size 10 fit and healthy!! Now i feel as i have no life just my family who i adore but increasingly have feelings of 'is this it?' am v.v.v.happy with DH who is amazing, do you know what he's so selfless he's given me all his tips from this w/end to spend on whatever 'i want' but must be for me not boys. im going for a nice massage next week.

how old is your DS? My DS3 is my most volatile and demanding child to date, but he is also totally adorable at the same time!! hang in there basl, it will all come good thank you so much for you kind words...from all of you. They mean more than you realise xx

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2009 21:34

ok janx if its still avail will let you know asap.

oh and basl i think you would prefer your bjce is the nipper much narrower then?

you would easy sell the nipper on they have good resale so don't worry.

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2009 21:36

this would be nice on your xlr as well janx?

basl · 27/11/2009 21:41

nicola my ds is 16mths and what a handfull he is. I keep telling myself he is furstrated as i think he is a little bright spark and done everything so much quicker than expected. If anyone has looked after him they say what handfull but he is so lovley. Well i just seem to hear the screaming all the time.
Re the second hand stuff i think this is fantastic. Why should we not recycle stuff when it costs so much and hardly gets used. I truly believe it is the way to go. Last year i got my ds a massive box of vtech peek a blocks you name it stuff from a friend who is a childminder and felt she needed a clear out. It was all like new and ds grandad was delighted that his £50 for ds was well spent.I would only have one or two things for that price if new. I have been offered the elc train set table and all the track etc from a lady at work who said her ds was just not into it and immaculate. She wants to GIVE it away. I am going to buy it and have no probs it is second hand. Oh and one last thing. I work in the evenings till midnight after looking after the kids all day and i think that does not help matters but i love the fact i enter a new world and my brain (not my spelling or grammer) can work again.

janx · 27/11/2009 21:46

Ok - am off to bed soon nic - defo want yours if still available - the other one is a bit too muted for me! think ds has given me his cold...feel like an early night. He has been a bit unbearable today - hitting me a lot and turning on the dishwasher on and off every time my back is turned.
