Nicola, that is twice your name has been in bold this morning and you're not here

I have packed lots of unboxed pushchairs for what it's worth?! I always manage to gat some kind of box, even if I just open them all out and wrap and tape it around, so that is resembles some sort of box!!

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 04/11/2009 09:21

Balamorybaby I asked the Parcelforce man once about packaging [because he had said mine was very good!] and he said in fact bin bags were fine as long as they were secured with lots of parcel tape so that the courier could grab the package without it falling apart.
I have never done just bin bags myself. Have had an MB wrapped in bubble wrap and bin bags which was fine.

what does anyone reckon to this three wheeler please? They will wrap for a courier but is it just too crappy for £23 [price with cheap courier]

Balamorybaby · 04/11/2009 09:26

Maxybrown thanks for that, I thought about bubblewrap but your suggestion of opening out boxes sounds better, I could tape a few together maybe to make a big one thanks.

Dis the code is 395-844, and its down on the invoice as MACLAREN PINK FOOTMUFF, £12.00.

The telephone number for Next Directory is: 0844 844 8333. Hope you get lucky!

Disenchanted3 · 04/11/2009 09:27

I wouldn't buy it but if you don't want to spend over £25 then Im not sure you would get much better if that includes courrier.

I think I'm gonna sort some of the kids clothes and do a clothes piicy trail, never done one before, even if I can get a few ££ towards the footmuff it would help!

nicolamumof3 · 04/11/2009 09:30

morning all, sun is shining, dh is off today and we are off to soft play how wonderful!!! yeah right.

well im glad you had a lovely time with us Maxy

dis its amazing how much you can make through selling bits and pieces, i bought my ugg boots through selling off footmuffs and clothes, can be easily done.

5in soooooo glad you at last got your refund!

Disenchanted3 · 04/11/2009 09:32

i think this one is a better bet for £5 more, looks much cleaner and the other is listed as damged

Disenchanted3 · 04/11/2009 09:32

sorry that link was for dunoon.

thanks bal, will ring now!

maxybrown · 04/11/2009 09:34

Thanks Dis, but I need the dungarees, I had to sell my all in ones waterproof as he went mad in them

I agree Dunoon, think you should hang fire tbh. I am going to my Mum's tomorrow and will look at charity shop there as they ALWAYS have at least one pram and quite often a detour.

OP posts:
Disenchanted3 · 04/11/2009 09:36

no sold out, oh well said nell!

thanks though

maxybrown · 04/11/2009 09:36

Dunoon what about this

OP posts:
Disenchanted3 · 04/11/2009 09:40

this is near me, i can collect if u win and post

Disenchanted3 · 04/11/2009 09:41

ooooooh this is nice and near me too can collect

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/11/2009 09:42

Well it may be daft but I would rather not spend £30 on a Graco pushchair however clean it is, whereas I can swither [but am now thinking NO] for £23. IYSWIM
Maxy thanks. With train fare that would be around £23 if it stays at the current price.
What I really need is a local charity shop or pickup but I am as usual impatient.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/11/2009 09:44

Thanks Dis. I was already watching the second one as it's dark. Prefer the dark ones. [cheap but fussy I am]

maxybrown · 04/11/2009 09:46

train fare will be that much even within Kent can't you get a day ticket or something?!!!

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 04/11/2009 09:55

In fact I made a mistake it will be more. Train fare as quoted by National Rail enquiries [so there is room for doubt here] is £12.20. The train journey would involve going in to London bridge and then catching a different train out to Bexley. Fab. Not.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/11/2009 09:55
Grin
maxybrown · 04/11/2009 09:58

oh and no day ticket available? national rail wouldn't tell you that. I can get a train day ticket within greater manchester (but only so far within greater manchester) for £4 but it doesn't tell me on there.....I have done extensive research.....can you tell

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 04/11/2009 10:03

Damn my last post didn't work.
Anyhow better go and do some work.
Later.

horsemadgal · 04/11/2009 10:36

Don't get a fixed wheel Graco Dunoon, they are awful.

Disenchanted3 · 04/11/2009 10:45

XLR IS HERE!!

5inthehousesofparliament · 04/11/2009 10:50

Woohoo Dis, enjoy your shopping trip.

Dunoon, this is near me.

HMG, did you get bibs? Sent a few weeks ago. Posted them myself this time

Had a pram panic this morning. Took mac out of boot this morning, and there was what looked like mould on the hood. Silly me though left the rain cover on, and it was just from that. Never doing that again!

Disenchanted3 · 04/11/2009 11:03

Oh it lovely!!

I don't think its heavty at all, but then Ive been pushing big buggies lately so stroller seems light anyways even if it is heavier variety. Having said that its sturdy enough not to feel flimsy.

DD really suits the pink & choc

I see what you mean about the footmuff not being warm/snuggly but may get thin bink snuggle to go inside it.

But def keeping it

Yey!

Oh silver tipped handles too!

sal1309 · 04/11/2009 11:39

morning all

belated birthday wishes dis

well having a quiet morning while dd at nursery.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/11/2009 12:08

Glad you like it Dis.
Gone off the Gracos now 5in. Thank you anyway.
Have bid on a UD in kent.
