Morning. Really about nappies?? I never knew that. I thought that only applied at private nurseries. Oh, I will look into it. Thanks for that. DS really needs something (and so do I lol!!!) Though some I saw the other day they had to be 2yrs 9 months and he can go to school nursery once he's 3 so bit Thanks for the info though, things have changed since I last had anything to do with preschools

nicolamumof3 · 28/09/2009 09:18

Morning all!

yes def worth looking into and having a look around now Maxy to get a feel for them as some you have to wait for places.

Whoopee the housekeeping money is in!
I am out in a minute to stock up on goodies! [and blow the budget in the process]
Just having my breakfast atm. I can't seem to get organised or get up early enought to do it all and have my breakfast too.
Grey here.

nicolamumof3 · 28/09/2009 09:35

Can anyone help with couriers please? Normally use senditnow, but trying to pay bit less as it is only a small item! It'll cost with appropiate insurance, just short of £10.50 with RM you see, so know there are others some of you use! It is only about the size of a shoebox, weighs almost 5kg and needs to have insurance of up to about £100!

hey, this is a bit like Rolf harris isn't it?

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/09/2009 09:42

Yes it would be nice to put one outfit on per day!
Sadly I would also like to start using my new winter coat. [very sad person emoticon]

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/09/2009 09:45

Oooh insurance might put any of them up but I use parcel2go most often.

maxybrown · 28/09/2009 09:49

what are they normally insured up to Dunoon? Senditnow includes insurance up to £150. We would rather use them than RM as it would get there quicker anyway, but others would do!

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/09/2009 09:53

Usual insurance is up to £50 and you can top it up I think so it depends on wether that would make it too expensive.
They offer different couriers and services. I use the DHL economy.

maxybrown · 28/09/2009 09:58

Ok dunoon thanks. It is a car part too so all seems a bit complicated business on parcel2go. Have to add more info, darn it!

maxybrown · 28/09/2009 10:15

Well, I have just found out about preschools. there is only one that will take them from 2, but no places until next september, when he will have his vouchers anyway and if I had a choice to go anywhere, prob wouldn't choose there tbh. Damn damn damn. Looking at childminders now instead, but not really sure that would benefit him. (would benefit me lol) but I want it to be good for him, obviously.

nicolamumof3 · 28/09/2009 13:45

thats a shame Maxy. Tate starts school next September, can't believe it its going too fast.

got our slow cooker today so can't wait to use that tomorrow (how sad am i!)

making chocolate brownies this afternoon and my mum is back from holidays so she's coming over.

Yumm brownies, my fave, nice with a big spoonful of ice cream

nicolamumof3 · 28/09/2009 14:02

i was going to get a croc pot but couldn't find one right size, just got a russell hobbs one on offer at argos 23.99. bargain

scattykatty · 28/09/2009 14:25

my PIL's got me this

It's a really good size if you're bothered enough to exchange, but yours sounds like great bargain

maxybrown · 28/09/2009 14:26

That has just reminded me, our cooker has a slow cooker part and never used it must give it a go! Thanks Nicola

I have emailed a childminder who only has 1 place left so presume she will have other children in the day!! I will see what she says anyway. At least it will be a change for him, other children hopefully, and a bit of cleaning time (lucky me) for me!!

scattykatty · 28/09/2009 14:34

Hey Maxy do you still want a wooden garage?

maxybrown · 28/09/2009 14:36

Yes please!!! (hopeful!)

scattykatty · 28/09/2009 14:40

Oh God I'm sorry I thought what I had was a garage, but actually it's a station

I got 2 for DS for Xmas (1 from me, 1 as a present)

scattykatty · 28/09/2009 14:41

I thought I had 2 of these and got really excited before I actually checked in my cuboard. Sorry!

maxybrown · 28/09/2009 14:50

Ah well never mind! We are getting DS one for Christmas. He is car mad.

scattykatty · 28/09/2009 14:53

Sorry I saw your add and remembered I had 2 of something in the cuboard from last year and got too excited!

Well if you fancy a toy station I have 2
