scattykatty i read that you were looking for a train table and spotted one on the toys r us website when i was looking on there this morning. It is half price reduced from £199 down to £99

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/09/2009 10:01

Aha so back from Sainsbo and sat with coffee and croissants. Mmmmmm

maxybrown · 26/09/2009 11:13

yes Nic it's LOOKASOS for the 20% off! Ooh which converse?

maxybrown · 26/09/2009 11:15

is it the fleece lined ones? I love those. They have them in a shop near me in brown leather, yum!

nicolamumof3 · 26/09/2009 12:09

oh i'd much prefer leather, the cons fit luka so nicely, leather would be fab for winter how much were they? but the fleece ones look cosy too, might get them!

Just had a nightmare, rushed to football to get tom, had planned on collecting him taking boys to park getting some lunch out, got a bloody puncture, first one ever, so had to try and get home, was seriously hard pushing the pushchair.

luka is now in midst of mega tantrum i need to make lunch but nothing in. im not a happy bunny.

I'll have a look in a mo on price. You can ge t leather ones Nic but fleece lined too....they are gorgeous, hoep to get DS some...one min...

Oh and what a nightmare about puncture!!! I've never had one either! Urgh tantrums, horrid

maxybrown · 26/09/2009 13:30

If you look here Nicola, you can see what there is. You can get black leather/brown nubuck in the fleece lined or just leather in brown, they are bit cheaper

scattykatty · 26/09/2009 14:38

Hey I'm back

Maxy I went to get that ride on Vespa. They had sold out everywhere down here so I was finally managing to collect it after reserving it weeks ago! DS saw it in a toy shop and adored it so he is thrilled scooting around the garden as we speak

this

Still waiting about the castle, really really want it!

Play table in toyrus looks really good thanks buggy. DH really wants the one from ELC but I think you're paying a lot just cos it's 'Thomas'....

nicolamumof3 · 26/09/2009 14:48

omg lucky boy!!

maxy i love the brown leather cons, couldn't see leather and fleece lined? im not sure tho that he should be wearing converse all the time, but i guess the leather would give more support? i do like them in 'proper' shoes these are the first he's had that have really fitted him well tho.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 26/09/2009 14:55

Yes Nicola I know what you mean, no my mistake sorry - they are just brown leather not lined, black leather lined, or brown nubuck leather lined. I think I will prob go for the leather unlined eventually. I like a good shoe as well though

Wow at the vespa! DS would love that.....in his dreams lol that would have to be 3 birthdays and christmas presents combined I think Love it though. Bet DH would like that, he nearly got a vespa got a diff bike instead though.

I have seen that play table in Toys r us SK, it looks quite good.

scattykatty · 26/09/2009 15:02

It's really good, DS can do it fine and he's only 20 months

Only cost me £40 and a bit of petrol though as I saw the shop up North had them in the sale... Thank God I didn't order it from Halfords last week Just meant I had to collect it.

Probs my best ever bargain!

Nicola cons don't have that much support so you're right not to put them in them too much, the leather ones are fabby though.

maxybrown · 26/09/2009 15:06

oh wow at £40!!!

Maybe about converse, but beats being measured incorrectly EVERYTIME we go to shop. I can't bear it any longer. I don't take DS anymore. they are always trying to cram him into smaller narrower sizes, then shocked when they can't even get his feet into the actual shoe

He usually wears Kickers anyway.

nicolamumof3 · 26/09/2009 15:07

Luka wears his converse every day as its too warm for proper boots atm, i keep meaning to take him to russell & bromley tho and spend his bday money on shoes bless him!! i've had it with toys, told tom that im asking terry's parents (who hate buying their grandsons toys ) for waterstones vouchers this year the boys need some new books now they're getting older.

OP posts:
scattykatty · 26/09/2009 15:08

I know! I didn't even know til after I reserved, fully expected to pay £200, then they were put in the sale!

Those lether cons are nice but expensive I just fell Clarks are measured and at 20 months he should be in measured shoes.

scattykatty · 26/09/2009 15:09

Oh and Beaba are sending me a BN Babycook, from France! My current one, the bowl won't come off the stand, it still works but is annoying so they are sending a new one

Happy days!

nicolamumof3 · 26/09/2009 15:10

kickers are great for wide feet, maxy where do you go independdent shop? i love russell & bromley they've been great for my boys really patient, and they will order in rather than send you away with wrong shoes. i agree tho i've found the converse to be best fitting for luka he's really wide they measure him G one foot and H the other and often G's are too narrow these aren't at all. i can't decide whether to get leather or denim fleece??!

oh did you get pics of b/snuggle? i did in my junk folder, i love it but think she wants £30 plus post which i think is a bit much for s/hand.

£40 bargain SK i'd pay that.

i might advertise the battery operated ride on scrambler coming up for xmas? will speak to DH about it.

OP posts:
scattykatty · 26/09/2009 15:13

I agree Nicola, £30 is way too high for a 2nd hand one

I'm so happy with my bargain, just saved £160 just sooo lucky! I'm never lucky

How much would you want for the scrambler?

maxybrown · 26/09/2009 15:13

not if they measure them incorectly SK, that is worse than doing it yourself. besides, I DO measure him - AT HOME!!!

A pair from clarks or startrite would cost me over £30 for him now anyway, so price no different????????????????????

last time I went in clarks in the summer, I picked up a pair (DS wasn't with me) and said I would like these - the BOY had to ask me if I would like the other one - wth??? I did suggest he could just sell me the one and DS could hop until he had outgrown it.....it took him a while to get it, sheesh!

maxybrown · 26/09/2009 15:17

Nicola, completely agree with you. I sometimes go to independant shoe shop, love R&B but nearest one for me is Chester. But a shop in trafford centre who measure sell Kickers also. They have always been the best for him I have to say. But he is very comfortable in his converse.

I did get pics today, yes, but think they are too expensive too. Make her an offer on the waterproof one?

scattykatty · 26/09/2009 15:23

I guess you're right Maxy, DS's shoes were only £28 but I still think that's a lot for kiddy shoes

maxybrown · 26/09/2009 15:25

Last startrite ones were £32 that was back in may I think. Current Kickers were from next sale last year for £21.
To go to R&B in Chester would cost me another £15 or so on train, so makes them even more expensive.

Nicola, I love the lined converse, but would worry me about how much space our wide feet boys would have maybe??

scattykatty · 26/09/2009 15:28

I just found a Clarks outlet in Swindon, so I think you can all guess where DS's shoes will all be coming from I just don't care about him wearing last season's style when they are only £18!

Lines Cons sound so snug and lovely

PS, did you get my pic? I'm so proud that I actually managed to not pay full price for something

scattykatty · 26/09/2009 15:38

saw this on feebay, wow! How much money has she spent on Thomas stuff!

I like the bed, but it doesn't last long enough to make it worth it

nicolamumof3 · 26/09/2009 17:57

mmmh i know i did think about the lining, they have some lovely lined ones on vertbaudet i may get, i always liked their shoes for Tate. Though his feet are completely different. think i will go for the brown leather cons or may just have a browse first in R&B i wonder if they could get the leather cons as they do normal ones in their?

off to check email now. feeling more myself today, managed ironing, done floors boys fed DH back to work just bathtime to do now and washing/ironing to put away.
