Maxy, I wtote the pan a really pitiful letter and posted it today saying I would really like it

Don't know if he'll reply will keep you posted. The worst thing if now I have my heart set on it so will clearly end up paying £300 when I could have paid £25 I must stop listening to DH! If I do get it next time i'm in Manc we should meet up and your DS can have a go

Just went into town, bought DS 2 Steiff teddies for Christmas....oops! And a wooden penguin pop up game by John Crane oh and a metal thomas train

scattykatty · 27/09/2009 15:07

wrote the MAN obviously

maxybrown · 27/09/2009 15:12

ok

where do you get all your money from woman??

scattykatty · 27/09/2009 15:33

Oh I got them all in TK Maxx, £30 for the lot

For the rest of the month I now have £8.03 Not Good!

scattykatty · 27/09/2009 15:42

PS, when I say Steiff you do now there is the Steiff baby range right? Not the jointed bears for £200 I lived in Germany for 2 years so DS has a lot of Steiff as it's very cheap there.

The teddies I got today are very small! Like the size of your hand so don't panic Maxy

nicolamumof3 · 27/09/2009 17:31

you're must have all your xmas shopping done then SK?

i ordered some stuff from jojo today, a snowsuit, some wellie liners and more waterproof trousers in bigger size so we're all set for winter, but still more like summer here atm.

Oh I wasn't panicking, just being nosy I just wonder what I am doing wrong sometimes!! DH is a teacher and if we didn't get most things second hand we wouldn't have most things at all. It is purely out of interest to me really, didn't mean it in a funny way!! I buy all DS's clothes from money made buying and selling on ebay 100%!! I just don't know how people manage and wonder if there is a secret I am missing!

Would love for DS to go to nursery a couple of mornings, he could really do with it, but would cost £200 a month for 2 mornings a week It's just things like that, iykwim?? We reguarly eat beans on toast and soup etc too so keep food bill down too. It just baffles me how people survive!!

nicolamumof3 · 27/09/2009 18:36

i buy everything s/hand or in sales or with a discount maxy with three kids its the only way. but we never go out and i mean never! maybe 3/4 times a year! inc.birthdays!! we don't drink/smoke all our money goes on kids i'd say we don't have gadgets like the latest tv or sky etc. I shop around for food offers as im a SAHM have time to do that!

You should be able to get DS into a 'normal' preschool/nursery/playschool by that i mean a non private one when he's either 2 or 2.5yr old, these charge around £10 a session. Luka is doing two sessions a week, its good for him and me. its attached to the church over the road and really nice.

Evening ladies. Got my cheapy MPX yesterday, have washed the covers as the were dirty and covered in hairs. Yuk! Other than that, it's in ok condition. Can't complain for £11.50 though.

What colour Uggs did you get Nicola?

nicolamumof3 · 27/09/2009 18:48

chestnut, i figured they'd go with more things.

i might then get some tall emu's as they seem much cheaper in chocolate. can't wait for them to arrive.

right back out again now for me to get Tom from Tae Kwon Do!!

5inthebed · 27/09/2009 18:50

Lovely!

I missed out on that bargain cosatto 3 wheeler as well, It went for £46. Damn. Forgot all about it ending today.

maxybrown · 27/09/2009 18:58

There is one preschool by me but he would have to be potty trained at 21/2 and i know that aint going to happen!! Especially when he can't even talk! Jeez, I am fed up today! sorry

5inthebed · 27/09/2009 19:11

Maxy, it's against the law to stop ki from going to nursery because they're still in nappies

nicolamumof3 · 27/09/2009 19:17

i was just going to say that 5in!

Tate went in nappies for a whole year to his. and tbh he v.rarely had to be changed there as i would change him before he went and when i got him, he was always v.regular

OP posts:
scattykatty · 27/09/2009 19:22

Don't worry Maxy, it's funny cos around here we are the poorest, by a LONG way! It's just so strange to have someone/anyone think we might not be that it caught me off guard!

DS doesn't go to nursey either at the moment. Would like him to start though, just 2 mornings a week.

Nicola DH and I have decided that DS will get a Thomas/train type table and some track for Xmas and then the Steiff teddies/penguin game and a few Christmas themed things and that's it, so I either have it or know what I'm getting. However his birthday is on the 7th of January and I have no ideas for that so far.... well apart from the amazing tricycle but can't see DH going for that somehow

5inthebed · 27/09/2009 19:42

Anyone ever had a Brio pram? Just looking at a Brio Go pram, looks quite good. Still really want an Oyster though.

Sk, Toys R Us have a lovely train track and table in for £100. Very similar to the Thomas one.

nicolamumof3 · 27/09/2009 20:06

not heard good reports of oyster tho 5in, not v.good suspension?

OP posts:
5inthebed · 27/09/2009 20:15

Really? Never seen one in the flesh, think I'd need to before I bought one.

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/09/2009 21:31

Hellooooo all.
Quite like the look of the Brio 5in. Maybe a teeny bit plastic?
Good grief the Vigour is a bugger to pack isn't it!
Money money! Don't talk to me about money.
Gah!

nicolamumof3 · 27/09/2009 21:33

5inthebed · 27/09/2009 22:23

Dunnoon, you need my 6 year old. He is a dab hand at packing prams . Helps me all the time.

Mumo, maybe you're coming down with something?

horsemadgal · 27/09/2009 23:53

Oh dear mumofdj, not nice that.
I'm only slightly older than you but I am constantly boiling. Could be worth getting your thyroid and blood pressure checked, do not harm anyways, but you probably just doing too much with 3 littlies!

sal1309 · 28/09/2009 08:03
