Nicola, sorry you are feeling low, am sure things will look up - can't remember how many times me and hub argue over silly things and we tell each other we have had enough - truth is we'd be lost without each other - am sure it's the same for you!

Big virtual hug and tub of ben and gerry ice cream x

lecohen · 18/09/2009 21:48

Hi Jan, congrats on your daughter's b.day...my eldest will be 3 next week, like she was born yesterday, unreal!

Did you manage to get a hood for he mac in the end?

nicolamumof3 · 18/09/2009 21:55

Im all right, still a bit shocked and really, really tired. Don't feel well either.

He came home with boys and i made him finish painting!!! i think we are the same as most couples with young kids tbh. im sure we will be ok. I do hope so, i've been here before but that time it was me who was unhappy...and left

I'm sure that is prob the case Nicola. Also, after you get married - it's almost like. oh this is it. I don't mean that in a negative way, like what one has isn't good enough (so hard to get point across in type!), it's just this is it!!!! lol. Sometimes (men esp I reckon) think, oh right, wow, this is it then. Am I making any sense at all?

Also, nights are drawing in, weather turing etc etc, maks a huge difference to us all and sometimes we don't even realise it.

Hope you are ok honey xx

scattykatty · 18/09/2009 22:02

Oh Nicola I'm sure it'll all work out, small children do put a strain on any marriage!

That jeep looks good, will let my cousin know, she does like her DS to have the best I think I'm gonna get my DS a mini micro scooter for his 2nd birthday next year.

scattykatty · 18/09/2009 22:04

Hey Nicola - sorry things are a bit rotten for you at the moment...could you both have a nice night out? Sometimes I feel dp and i are just running a nursery together and are too knackered to actually have time for each other. I dreamt I was pregnant last night

scattykatty · 19/09/2009 13:48

Hey Maxy just got back from JL have emailed you back. Bought DH's b/day present, I knew it was coming obviously but it still hurt paying for it!

scattykatty · 19/09/2009 14:48

Oh and Bexie is it www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Kids-Room/Beds/Little-Tikes-Thomas-and-Friends-Train-Bed-and-Ma ttress(0024649) this]] your parents just got your DS? Is it good? Only my DS LOVES Thomas and is coming up for needing a bed and I'd like to get a few opinions to have a look at in the new year.

PS, very generous for your parents to get that for Tom's birthday! He must have been a very good boy

scattykatty · 19/09/2009 14:49

ooops meant this

5inthebed · 19/09/2009 18:33

Wow it's been quiet on here today!

Hope things are better today Nicola. I'll be online most of tonight if you want to talk x

Dunoon, got the vigour off my friend today. You're not getting it, it's mine . Looks ok from what I can see. Will take a few pics of it tomorrow for you. The rip on the handle isn't that bad, can probably be glued together. You did know it isn't the adjustable leg rest one right? I'vestuck ds3 in it to see size etc, and its quite roomy, although not sure how tall your DD is. Will stick him in when I take photos for you. Should be able to sit in Wednesday for courier for it, will let you know.

Met "the girls" today for a girly natter. I didn't have any kids with me, it was lovely. Although two of them had their new babies with them, weeks old and 8 weeks old. I'm so broody now! Expecially as a friend has had a baby this morning as well.

BexieID · 19/09/2009 20:18

scatty, my parents have got Tom a red car bed with drawer. This one. It's a proper single sized one. It's still in the 3 boxes it came in, lol.I'm sure Tom would have loved the Thomas one though. He likes his choo choos.

FlyMeToDunoon · 19/09/2009 20:21

Oooh exciting 5in, thanks. DD3 is nearly three so she doesn't madly need an adjustable leg rest. I didn't know they did one that didn't though. The vigour 3 I had was oldish and it adjusted. Was handy when you folded it all right down.
Seem to remeber the back being quite tall but her head being neat in the hood last time. Wow it must be nearly a year ago now. I can't remeber.
Is it dirty?
Why on earth was it so cheap?
Have you noticed the crack in the handle at the back? How bad is that
I thought I might get a snunkie handle bar cover or one from bagabottle [cheaper]

FlyMeToDunoon · 19/09/2009 20:24

I am glad no one I know is pg or has a new baby as I am dangerously broody sometimes.
DP came back from his brothers wedding and announced he was too!
Careful!
Nicola I am around tonight too though I may have an early night as I fell asllep on the sofa last night watching Law and Order and woke up again at 1.45 am. Took me ages to get back off when I went to bed.

5inthebed · 19/09/2009 20:28

Not sure why it was so cheap. I like how it adjusts, although it is a bit loose, you need to make sure it clicks in. The handle bar looks like it might screw off, so you could easily replace the foam. Wheels have quite a bit of tread left on them as well.

I'm watching X Factor, love cheesy telly.

scattykatty · 19/09/2009 20:29

Bexie oops I could have sworn Tom was getting a Thomas bed, oh well I'm losing my marbles

That car bed is lovely, DH wants him to get a 'real' bed, but I think they are only young once and am tempted by something fun

5inthebed · 19/09/2009 20:35

Mine have always had todler beds first SK and then proper big beds. I love the Thomas bed, would have loved to get one for DS2, but he got DS1's toddler bed. Ikea is great for toddler beds.

FlyMeToDunoon · 19/09/2009 20:48

DD3 is in a cot bed. It is just right for her and did her sister for ages.
DD1 had an adjustable ikea bed until she was around um 8 or 9.
Anyone selling a cotbed size duvet cover at all?

5inthebed · 19/09/2009 20:53

I've only ever had cots, not cot beds. Ikea do lovely duvets for toddler beds, and would fit a cot bed. I have some lovely ones from there. DS3 will be using them soon in his cot when he turns 1 in November.
