claret1980 · 11/09/2009 22:28

Just watching watchdog now.

BexieID · 11/09/2009 22:32

I didn't go off on one no, but can understand how annoyed DP was when they threw out a computer monitor of his the last time they had a skip. The Chicco is over 2 years old, but thats not the point. Will list it on ebay on sunday and wash the covers tomorrow, unless anyone here wants it?

claret1980 · 11/09/2009 22:45

Well I think I would have. Hope you get a good price for it on ebay.

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/09/2009 22:53

Maclaren XT straps:
Mine do not seperate at the waist straps like the old harness. On the old one you could unclip it.
Or am I being dense and going blind?
Anyways I have to fiddle about removing the shoulder straps from the seat or I could remove the waist straps from the D rings but I reckon that would be just as if not more fiddly.
Sooo I have made a fleece liner to fit around the shoulder straps. Have to finish it with elastic at the sides to join to the 'poppers' that seat fabric fits to and then we are good to go.
Will do pics tomorrow!

scattykatty · 11/09/2009 23:44

maxybrown · 12/09/2009 08:10

I have some mega bruising from yesterday, v sore now

Still, the sun is shining and my house is 3/4 tidy/clean - hoorah!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/09/2009 08:14

I am sat up in bed on the computer. DDs get sent downstairs with stern voice if they show faces. DP dozing next to me.
Arnica!

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2009 08:20

Its my birthday.....& i'll cry if i want to!!!

its crap isn't it?

Got necklace from my mum i don't like, boots from Next from DH i was expecting Uggs and bracelet i don't like...ungrateful cow i am.

Dunoon you need to sort of pull the plastic bit up where the shoulder strap (material) goes in and it will slide out. i will try and find instructions.

maxybrown · 12/09/2009 08:34

Oh HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICOLA!!!!

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2009 08:43

maxybrown · 12/09/2009 09:01

pebbles79 · 12/09/2009 09:03

Happy Birthday Nicola!

I'm sat in bed with the laptop, can't really do anything at the moment, lol! DH has been so good around the house and with the kids etc but I was so desperate to pick up the mop yesterday and do the floors (don't worry I didn't). Don't want to say to DH that they need done though as he's already doing so much

carrielou2007 · 12/09/2009 09:41

Morning all.

Happy bithday Nicola

Dd's dad has never ever bought me anything for my birthday (even when we were together) then one year he bought me a card and a lovely one at that. He says if I buy you anything it will be wrong (so ask me what I want then!!).

He didn't buy dd anyting for christmas or her birthday either then said do you want this (gave me a tenner) towards all her toys and clothes etc I had got for her. I took it!!

Thursday he brought her over some of her half sisters broken barbies and some colouring pencils (she has millions) and she has not left them alone - typical!!

5inthebed · 12/09/2009 09:51

Happy birthday Nicola . I wish I'd known, would have sent you a card!

DH never buys me anyhting for my birthdays, he isn't big on them. Probably because his parents never made a big thing of them either. Doesn't bother me though. He did buy me something for my 21st, a foot spa and facial sauna . I burst into tears when I opened it.

AK, that was really funny, the testing was hilarious. I knew the Luna would fail on the bag test.

claret1980 · 12/09/2009 10:07

Happy Birthday Nicola!

carrielou2007 · 12/09/2009 10:25

Another lovely sunny (though a bit breezy) day here so off to the park then a long walk to town. Getting dd in training for no more buggies/walking everywhere and v easy pushing an empty buggy. Was shattered when I did it thurs though, felt very sorry for myself and I have another 16 weeks to go yet!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/09/2009 10:34

Happy Birthday Nicola!

Yep I know that feeling about the pressies.
I have discovered how to get the shoulder straps off Thanks! Doh.

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2009 10:42

glad you done the straps easy huh?

My tommy just came round as he's at his dads bought me present, a dvd and big bar of dairy milk caramel. However my brother in law knows the way to a girls heart...a huge bouquet and box of choccies just arrived nice!

My dad been round too, card and cash, but he's helping us with decorating next week so was really round to discuss that can't wait to get going.

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/09/2009 10:43

I took some pics of the fleece liner I made last night here
I was pleased with it last night but typically have decided it really needs modifying.
The side wings will get some elastic loops today when I get out to the shops for elastic.
The bit round the shoulder straps has velcro on tabs to fit back around the straps-it's not working terrifically well.
I think either the top needs its own higher 'pillow' bit or I need to get a comfort pack to go with it [any idea which one might look good?]
There needs to be a bit more fabric generally at the sides to make sure the seat fabric is protected.
I might put elastic loops at the side of the seat bit to try and stop that all getting scrinched together.
Any opinions?

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2009 10:48

lovely colour! i'd go silver/grey comfort pack on that. yes the top bit needs bigger and the sides need elastic otherwise really good!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/09/2009 10:56

Thanks.
Have a good day!
I have outlaws coming. They appear to avoid my cooking so always bring food or insist we go out. On one occassion the lunch was just comming out of the oven and fil was saying 'lets go out for lunch'
My cooking is not that bad honestly. I just think that is rude.
Also the hygiene at theirs is appalling and I am in terror for my health there but do not bring food or make them go out.
GAH!
