So glad about converse! My Ds will have a pair of wellies, a leathe rpair of boots (or 2 hee hee) and a pair of converse tyoe thingies. mainly live in Kickers in winter though....unless I find some nice european shoes/boots. I HATE clarks.....grrrrr

pebbles79 · 06/09/2009 20:48

Thanks everyone , no, not having keyhole due to things probably not being in their natural place after 3 c-sections. No doubt I'll be lost when I come back, you'll all have been buying new prams for the winter

scattykatty · 06/09/2009 20:49

Does prammymammy come here? I want to get some stuff from her but the thread is getting really low on clothes buy/sell

nicolamumof3 · 06/09/2009 20:52

i like jones for boots for the boys they had some nice broguey type ones i like. also vertbaudet are doing desert boots sheepskin lined this year so may get those.

prammy is due her baby anytime now so i'd do a FAO for her?

carrielou2007 · 06/09/2009 20:55

Good luck Pebbles

Maxy if you have any fitted ones I'd love to buy them. I had the brushed cotton ones on dd's cot, so soft and scrummy.

Dd has 2 pairs of shoes, then sandals and crocs in summer, boots and wellies in winter. I found a make called chipmonk I really like as dd was wide feet so they fit her well, something like designer shoes for kids site or something - very reasonable compared to clarks.

maxybrown · 06/09/2009 20:57

ooh me too I like Jones. I have just discovered Bisgaard shoes too, lovely, tad expensive, although last start rite pair were getting on for £40

maxybrown · 06/09/2009 20:58

carrielou, they are all flat sheets but very lovely. I preferred those as they fitted on different things then.

nicolamumof3 · 06/09/2009 21:02

vertbaudet shoes

i like those boots maxy

nicolamumof3 · 06/09/2009 21:03

nicolamumof3 · 06/09/2009 21:14

carrielou2007 · 06/09/2009 21:31

scattykatty · 06/09/2009 22:09

JUST A CARDY! OMG is it you who bought it in revenge for my Nicola dibbing! It's handknitted and sooooooooo cute

maxybrown · 06/09/2009 22:15

I know I saw it.... but no, it wasn't me....and anyway, it was YOU who pinched MY dib! BUT, they are JUST clothes

Anyway, where was I...oh yes, found these here Nicola

scattykatty · 06/09/2009 22:19

Haha I guess in time I'll get over it Oh and those Danish boots were lovely, put my Clarks ones to shame

maxybrown · 06/09/2009 22:20

lol.....I just hate velcro, and I hate that it's always the same kind of thing with clarks and so little choice.

I am currently hunting for others

claret1980 · 06/09/2009 22:50

Evening ladies!

The Zapp is all packed and ready to go. Just have the pulse & P&T left. Would love to get a BJCM though. Dh has put his foot down and said no.

I bought ds1 a paid of nike air max when we went to cheshire oaks. They are sooo nice. DH bought him a cheap pair of lonsdale ones and now he won't take them off.
Anyone else noticed that there are no boots in the shops apart from Clarks? Maybe its just the fact we have very few shops but I scoured everywhere looking for some for dd to go to school in and coudn't find any. I can't justify £40 on a pair at the mo.

nicolamumof3 · 07/09/2009 06:34

we have a couple of nice independent shoe shops, i had a wobbly in the one in T/Wells tho so won't go back there!! but nice one in Sevenoaks too. My fave is russell & bromley tho they are always so patient with the kids and havea good range in when we go. i always avoid clarks but Tate some sandals in there at the beginning of the summer and they rubbed his feet raw, i don't think they know what they're doing and they just give you whats in stock not necessarily what fits.

got to shine up my quest wheels this morning for piccies!! im getting excited about footmuffs for the nipper, theres a few 09 ones i like but some are navy so maybe a navy nipper?! or a retro black? can't decide.

nicolamumof3 · 07/09/2009 07:28

maxy were you interested in any of the duvet sets? i've just uploaded pics of the mothercare ones they are lovely with applique on in v.neutral colours

maxybrown · 07/09/2009 08:39

Morning!

I feel same about Clarks too Nicola. Unfortunately our Russell & Bromley in Manchester has stopped doing children's shoes

Duvet sets - have you got a link to the pics Nic please? I only have a little money atm as need clothes for DS first.

Knickers0nMaHead · 07/09/2009 09:04

Brantano (sp) do beautiful kids shoes and boots etc

scattykatty · 07/09/2009 09:36

I will say that when we went yesterday to get the DS those 'Bugatastic' shoes from Clarks he was measured as a 6e and the man (who I'm not even sure did it right!) was like, "oh we only have 6g I2'm sure that'll be fine with thick socks!" what on earth! I made him order some in as I'm not having the DS have shoes 2 widths too big
