This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

Yes it is, but you still have to carry the brackets round and I wouldn't want my BJCS getting filthy at mealtimes. But yes, I thought it was genius too when I first saw it.

I have to say I think the new Peach Blossom is pretty perfect....I have been using it regularly now for several months and am struggling to find much to complain about (unusual for me!). The seating positions are great - forward facing but that's no biggy with me as you can easily see the lower child and the car seat parent faces. The pushability and manoeuvrability (which is a huge biggie) with two older children is brilliant. The basket is fantastic, the hoods are a good size, the seats are roomy and comfy with good harnesses (although the clips have pinched my fingers), lots of room to recline ether or both children and plenty of headroom. Niggles - the brake is tucked under the lower seat so I have to hop to try to reach it; the rotate seat buttons on the lower seat are impossible for me to reach round. I have been pressing one button in and running round, which I read this week IS actually a feature - I thought it was a fluke - but if it is a feature then it doesn't always stay popped in thus requiring several more runs round to recline a baby up or down The hood is noisy and I keep waking my sleeping baby up. I really hope iCandy do a tandem raincover too. My B-Dual one fits great but putting a single raincover on the lower seat is hard. The front wheels can not take being driven down a step - the only tandem I found cant be driven straight off one. The adaptors are a bit fiddly but it's a small price to pay for a tandem that works beautifully well. ICandy really are onto a winner with the new Blossom convertor kit.

Equally, if Baby Jogger can listen to feed back as iCandy did, and look at ways to improve the City Select, they too could be on even more of a winner. The front seat being right over the front wheel doesn't help pushability, getting up kerbs etc especially with older children (it was great when my two were a year / six months younger), plus you can't recline the seats in all positions, and an inch longer on the chassis would allow a parent facing carrycot at the top (which everyone but me seems to need - I liked the carrycot parent facing at the front so I could see baby, the end of the pushchair ie not bash my toddlers feet in shops, and could hear/chat to my toddler whilst baby slept!) Anyway that was a bit of an essay so I will stop now :o

WWYD? I bought a Powertwin off EBay. The photos showed close ups of two immaculate seats. But on arrival one has a tyre tread clearly in oil across the top of the seat. It's lime green so noticeable. I e-mailed the seller to ask what it was. They said they did spot it before packing but just wanted to get it packed up quickly to send to me(!!) But they have admitted it. I can open a dispute case and should get my money back (but would have to pay postage back - at least £15. I paid £130 plus postage (£25). My question is....given the damage - the rest is clean - do you think I will get my money back when I resell it itor should I send it back now? If it helps it came with a surfer board which seem to sell for £30+ one EBay. So really to break even ish as opposed to losing more postage I need £100 back on the pushchair. There is only minor scratches and marks elsewhere. WWYD?

Tiggywunkle · 09/08/2011 20:37

Btw the seat is lime green jot the oil. The seller said it was just dirt. I have scrubbed it today and the stain isn't budging and you can't remove the fabric to machine wash so I can't use a stain devil (or does Anyine have any bright ideas??)

FriggFRIGG · 09/08/2011 20:49

ummm,id be asking for a partial refund if i were you.

MonkeysPunk · 09/08/2011 21:12

tiggy is it the sort of fabric that could be scrubbed with a nailbrush without damaging? Using neat washing up liquid and then wiping with a damp microfibre cloth in hot water (repeatedly) to rinse?
There is a stain remover that you might be able to sponge it with Ecozone Ecostain Stain Remover which I found effective on oil stains (kids oiling their scooters in the garden and made a right mess of their white sundresses) - amazingly this worked!

Thank you Hollie Schulz (babygizmo) for talking me out of the phil and teds smart buggy - on the looks I was sold! Until she pointed out it wasn't that lightweight - the recline wasn't all that much reclined (about an inch and a half!), and the front wheels couldn't lock straight (not good for pavements witha steep camber - as we have locally)....and then the folding system....but apart from all that - it's lovely (but 18lbs in weight - not so light!).
I was intrigued by the seat - which looks lovely - and the harness looks lovely - and easy to adjust, the basket looks easy to reach - although shallow - but I bet my oioi hobo sack would fit in it! If only I lived around the corner from a pram shop! LOL

suzie38 · 09/08/2011 21:19

I used to have a P&T Smart.

FriggFRIGG · 09/08/2011 21:21

hollie talked me out of the smart buggy tooGrin
i saw one in RL t'other day,it does look lovely,but,i believe hollie,id rather get a bee+

FriggFRIGG · 09/08/2011 21:21

what did you think of it suzie?>

suzie38 · 09/08/2011 21:27

I really liked it but it's just a fun buggy for nipping to the park with...It wouldn't work as a main buggy...Basket way too small...Hood is very neat though DD quickly learnt how to mess with it...She really loved it...The seat's pretty small but having a dinky D it wasn't an issue for us...I likede how it folded, a tiny button to press and 2 levers to loosen...Collapsed in on itself then tighten a lever so it didn't open up...It would have been better with a single handle and lockable front wheels...Can get a verso adapter to make it rear face with a good recline.

Tiggywunkle · 09/08/2011 21:27

I was shocked when I saw the Smart fold! Its sooo long! Also when you put a liner in the seat it ends up tiny! I liked the fact you could in theory have a child parent facing until quite a high weight limit - I think it was 13 or 15kg or similar.
Thanks Monkey for those ideas. I was stubbing with a green scrubber today lol. I will look into those two options :)
Frigg how would you ask for a partial refund?? And how much? I hate EBay soooo much at times....

FriggFRIGG · 09/08/2011 21:29

Holey Moley,i have been searching for a changing bag that

a,was brown,with pattern
b,could be big but flatten down when not full
c,was kinda slouchy,informal,but also smart.

i though it was impossible and not out there,i just googled oioi hobo sack and there you go 4 YEARS OF LOOKING and i stumble across it on a pushchair thread!!!
monkeys,do you mind if i nick your bag??Grin
where can i find it cheaper than average?
is it as good as it looks?????

Tiggywunkle · 09/08/2011 21:30

Oh yes..that was my biggest niggle. When you hold the handles your hands virtually touch in the middle. But because the handles are angled it's a very odd position to be stood in. In fact I found it quite uncomfy and I only did it for a minute or few.

Tiggywunkle · 09/08/2011 21:31

You can win one on Best Buggy :) Tell your friends :)

FriggFRIGG · 09/08/2011 21:32

tiggy
i would simply write to the seller saying you would like a partial refund, and will sort privitley, explain why(about the resale price)or you will start a dispute.see what they offer you.

suzie38 · 09/08/2011 21:32

I had an OiOi bag in a giraffe print but it felt too grown up to me so i resold it on eBay...Don't think mine was the Hobo pne though.

FriggFRIGG · 09/08/2011 21:32

i did tiggy,i comment and like quite oftenGrin

Tiggywunkle · 09/08/2011 21:34

Aswellas & Saoirse did you try the Bebecar today? Did the seats fold up small? I am intrigued to know what you thought of it.

Tiggywunkle · 09/08/2011 21:38

Thanks re the refund Frigg and for liking and commenting. We have a good proxze next! Cheeky Rascals had a sale on, and Precious Little One seem to have good deals on.

MonkeysPunk · 09/08/2011 21:50

Zebra hobo sack cheap! Grin This is a great price - although you might prefer the giraffe - got mine from winstanleys pramworld. www.pramworld.co.uk not all that cheap - but I do LOVE it - as it's easy to find (black bags easily get lost in the boot cupboard at our house - or down the side of the sofa!).... It also holds a lot - semi organises things - but not soo many pockets that I forget where stuff is (as happened with my lovely skip hop - when I lost my purse one day - and insisted the store manager checked cctv as I was convinced I'd been "pick-pocketed" (it was not my usual sort of store to be in and I was trying to trace my kids stolen bicycles!)...and then later found the purse again in one of the hidden pockets....Blush my teenager was very very embarrassed by me! Blush Blush Blush

giraffe hobo sack

It is a good shape and size of bag - somewhat tardis like - always an advantage it does fit into pram baskets nicely and being tall - it remains accessible rather than disappearing underneath everything.
