Guildfordnanny · 09/06/2011 23:33

Lol my baby is asleep here. Time to switch to the PC and work until 2am.

suzie38 · 09/06/2011 23:34

I'm off to bed soon as need to be up at 5.20am as working first thing.

ToysRLuv · 09/06/2011 23:36

The Zapp wheels are noisier than the ones on the Vigour, for example. Not a big issue in my mind, unless you go over cobbles for half of your day. I don't know what to think about rhe limited edition Zapp.. tres early 90's. not sure if I'm quite ready to go there yet, even if I do love my early 90's dance :D

Pooh excellent thread! I don't have buggy envy because I think I already have the best buggy IMO.

I have the Bugaboo Bee+ which I Love Love Love. I also got one of the first 10 sets of limited edition Missoni fabric hopefully being delivered in the morning and I am so excited I think I might actually vomit!

Sierra19 · 10/06/2011 01:27

Sorry not Pooh but ooh!!!! Lol

aswellasyou · 10/06/2011 11:54

Lucky you Sierra. I love the Missoni covers! I didn't realise they were only releasing 10 sets.
Frigg, you can have the hood, I'll have the raincover. Maybe I'll stick some of these to my raincovers to make me feel better.Grin

Guildfordnanny · 10/06/2011 14:11

Did anyone order one of the brown and tangerine Contours? The price has hiked up today to over £400? Am just interested to see if anyone got a bargain?

Honeydragon · 10/06/2011 17:03

aswellasyou · 10/06/2011 17:09

It wan't me Guildford, I'd have it in red! It's weird how they keep changing the price up and down.
Honey, tell us what it is!!!!

Honeydragon · 10/06/2011 17:10

aswellasyou · 10/06/2011 17:23

Oh that is so cute! I hope you've got loads of children you can put in it!Smile

Sierra19 · 10/06/2011 17:27

They are releasing more Missoni, just not for a few weeks

suzie38 · 10/06/2011 17:43

Is the price that keeps changing an international order??? If it is it's probably because of the exchange rate that varies slightly from day to day.

ToysRLuv · 10/06/2011 18:53

That old style bike trailer thing looks like lots of fun!

As well as the Halo, have now been looking at the M&P Nuna. It looks great and apparently has an adjustable handle height. I remember someone mentioning that they have it.. is it any good? DH finds low handles on Zapp uncomfortable, so though we need one more compact pushchair to take on buses (will keep the Zapp of my own use and plane travel).

suzie38 · 10/06/2011 19:09

We love our Nuna though it wasn't used over winter and still in the wardrobe...It's so easy to push but the basket's not big but then not an issue if replacing a Zapp...Those blue Ikea bags slide over the handle fine if i remember right...The handle is very adjustable ie very low and fairly high i think, though i like a low handle...Because of the handle height, i'm keeping it as a buggy for DD to use with her dolls etc etc Only downside is the aprons a faff to get on in a hurry...It's heavier than it looks to pick up, well it's not heavy but it is compared to my Citisport that's a similar size but it folds very small...Must get in back down.

aswellasyou · 10/06/2011 19:11

suzie, the price has varied from about £135 to £412 in the time I've been looking at it. It is in the USA but I don't think the exchange rate is that variable. It seems that someone buys it and then the price shoots up but does come back down eventually. I had this with a German playpen on Amazon. It went from £46.99 to £49.99 to £69.99, then I bought it, then it changed the same day to £89.99 then £89.99. I was glad I bought it before it jumped up but annoyed I could have had it for £20 odd less.
Toys, suzie has a Nuna. I know it's not good at going up or down steps from trying it in the shop. But I much prefer it to the Zapp and it has the same appeal (small folded, light to carry, etc).

aswellasyou · 10/06/2011 19:13

I need to learn to type more quickly.

aswellasyou · 10/06/2011 19:14

And the fact that the Nuna has a bit of a recline makes it much more appealing to me.

ToysRLuv · 10/06/2011 19:20

Thanks Suzie and AWAY: Cool.. Am sort of annoyed about the stair thing, though. We have two steps up to our door, so could be a problem. Also, sometimes there just isn't a lift in shops etc.. Suzie, is it absolutely impossible to get up stairs? I suppose I could just take DS out and fold it, but by the time I'd be done, he'd be half way down the street Hmm Tempted by the Halo, but it's larger and am scared of DS getting his finger trapped. The handle isn't padded or adjustable, so could be uncomfy. Help Confused !

suzie38 · 10/06/2011 19:20

Yes it's neat with just zips...Only thing i'd love for it is a bumper bar...I'm a sucker for them!!!

suzie38 · 10/06/2011 19:21

Never tried it up steps or stairs to be honest though i can give it a try...BRB

aswellasyou · 10/06/2011 19:26

I love this thread for help like this from suzie! Grin

aswellasyou · 10/06/2011 19:29

I wouldn't get a Halo if you're going to want to take it up stairs. It's quite heavy. I have massive steps outside my flat and it just goes up or down them so it's not impossible but I would go up multiple steps (otherwise known as stairs Hmm).
