My lovely DH has been playing the good samaritan tonight. My 18 year old cousin (lets call her S) needed to go collect all her belongings from my former aunt and DH took her over. Poor girl has tried to stick by her mam despite her being a raging alcoholic. S has had anorexia for years, probably as a result of her stressful upbringing, but despite this she has managed to secure a place at uni and travels 3 hours a day to get there and back. She is living at my nanas atm, but in Jan she is going to go get her own place with friends. Basically the reason she has had to move out (finally) is that her mam went on a bender, took some people back to their new flat and allowed them to take all of S's belongings including two laptops and little jars of money she has saved for years.

It annoys me so much, beyond words! My former aunt has two other children, her son moved out as soon as he was old enough and her other daughter went to live with her dad after he took her to court for sole custody. Poor S has never had a dad as her dad hung himself before S was born.

I've done so much for S over the years, and it hurst me so much that I couldn't have her living with me, or that she has had such a thoughtless bitch for a mother.

You don't know how lucky you are sometimes. Olivia just sat for ages and scored her name out on every christmas card she got from school and wrote mum on it. She said she wanted me to have lots of cards for my birthday.
I thanked her for taking so much time on this and she replied no joke

Sorry for my earlier outburst girls. Just annoys me so much. DH is feeling sorry for former aunt as when he was leaving she said "Tell 5in I love her and miss her". This coming from the woman who grabbed ds1 by the scruff of his top when he was 3 (3 ffs) and called him a little ginger shit . And all because he didn;t ya hllo to her when she was bouncing along the road drunk out her mind.
