Can't remember what I even look like au naturel Grin

nicolamumof3 · 07/08/2010 14:33

afternoon all. Felt weird at bluewater as my lovely dh took boys and left me for an hour and half to wander round by self Shock felt all jittery couldn't concentrate! Did look at red xt tho in mothercare and now think i prefer the black more classic. Went for lunch at beefeater on way home had a lovely chicken and bacon salad. Boys now watching Ben10 dh topless in garden!

MrsDimples · 07/08/2010 14:48

Do you mind if I butt in with a quick question please Pram Guru's?

I ordered a Bugaboo Bee with the lovely mothercare code this week & am impatiently patiently awaiting its arrival, does anyone know if a Maclaren Universal Liner will fit on it?

I won one on the Yellow Submarine facebook page this week Grin. It arrived with a flyer for the new Maclaren GTLX, which looks fab but I can't see a price Hmm.

nicolamumof3 · 07/08/2010 14:57

oooh well done mrs d, i can't see why it wouldn't tho not owned a bug before Blush

GeekOfTheWeek · 07/08/2010 19:05

MrsD, I have a bee and use a universal liner on it. Its not a perfect fit but is functional and was miles cheaper than a custom made.

Nic did you get anything in bluewater?

Basl, enjoy your night out x

carrielou2007 · 07/08/2010 20:55

Evening all Smile

Geek glad your fil is making good progress.

Stop talking about dresses, I can't wear any until I stop feeding ds. Is it tonight basl you have your night out?? Hope FMTD is having fabbi time too.

Going back to work 6 weeks early Sad for two days a week then three days when it is my official return date, have bought a black leather storksak change bag to deaden the pain Grin my breast pump will again be my friend Grin.

Mrs D any footmuff really should fit, is it the new bee+ or the orig?? The bug footmuffs are now new and universal but old bee will not fit new as holes for straps in wrong places?? I love my bee+ so so much, popped into town today and so used bee+ as it lives in the car boot and just so lovely and easy to use, I love the cam but bit big for around the shops with a nosy dd and busy afternoon shoppers.

Bumped into one of the other mum's from playgroup with her lovely four week old son, they have an i candy apple (lovely) and using the free Boots changing bag with it. Why??!!!

5inthebed · 07/08/2010 22:21

Nicola you needed a chum in bluewater Smile must be a very funny feeling indeed for you to suddenly feeling yourself alone with out anything to do other than enjoy it. That fair pulled at my heart strings when i read that. Your such a wonderful mum and wife nicola and bless you wee soul you really need to get some practice in. Maybe it was the lack of pushchair and you had to carry your bags????? Grin

Geek had a lovely night and everyone was stunned how on earth i could walk in my very high black peep toe stilettos. Felt very glam indeed and managed to get one of those most appreciated compliments from my dh.

Oh Carrie rofl at the boots changing bag. That comment reminded me of when the witch [not implying you are one in anyway!!!!just what happened] from the wizard of Oz had water splashed on her and she screamed "I am melting Arggg I am melting " lol so much here, well thats how i imagined you when you so the apple with the boots change bag. lol

Oh and one last think wooooot wwooooooooo nicola. Your outfit, hair sounds gorg and soooo glad you had a nice time. A wonder round tesco will make you feel better Hmm xxx

5inthebed · 08/08/2010 19:44

Well ds2 had a lovely day, got lots of presents and my cake went down well. Had a house full, was great fun and lovely to have a garden for kids to run around in.

Hopefully have my computer back soon so I can catch up properly x

GeekOfTheWeek · 08/08/2010 20:51

Congratulations on your new house 5in Smile

I am hopfully picking the jane up this week although have been eyeing up new nippers on the jl website Shock

basl, I feel your pain in the stilettoes. I wore some mega high ones for a night out in manchester and I was crippled after about 2 hours!

Carrie, I despise those bags Wink Why are you going back to work early?

nicolamumof3 · 08/08/2010 21:02

5in glad he had alovely day!

im thinking of joining 21st century and getting an ipod touch!

GeekOfTheWeek · 08/08/2010 21:26

Is the ipod the same as the iphone but without the capacity to make calls?

Your hangover subsided now nic?

basl · 08/08/2010 21:31

Good Evening Everyone, Well what can i bore you all with tonight. Mmmmmm Mmmmmmm not a lot to say actually. A very ordinary day here. My children are very tired after their disco dancing last night. They had a great time and were given huge party bags when we arrived with a toy and note paper and pens, bubbles sweets so they were delighted with all that.

My cousins partner will be due her baby in Dec and they called me over to talk about prams Grin Now my whole family think i am a freak Shock because my mum has apparently said "ask Basl? She is obsessed with them" the cheek of it. Grin So i had to not make my mum look silly and indulged in a good hours worth of pram and baby talk. My dh was only there briefly and he was shaking his head and looking at my cousin giving him a pat on the back in sympathy.
My Auntie Anne is one of the most wonderful women i know [the Auntie that got me into high heels] She has waited so long for a grandchild as she spoils all the kids at birthdays and Christmas. She is going a bit ott but bless her she is so excited. She wants a pram to keep at her house Grin but wait for it. Not only does she want a pram at her house. She wants a car seat fitted and thinking of getting a new car to fit all the equipment in Shock. I of course could not say anything other than to encourage her more but what an uproar of lol at the table as her DH was getting redder and redder. He is a tight fisted man but my Auntie would give you her last and only the best for her Grandchild.
I felt rather important/sad in a way as she described a pram to me and i knew it. Everyone was stunned.
What a talent eh? lol

nicolamumof3 · 08/08/2010 21:31

im fine now geek thanks! I hope so geek will letyou know when it gets here!!

There is a camel nipper for sale on pram board i go on for £80 geek Smile

GeekOfTheWeek · 08/08/2010 21:44

Lol at basl.

Am thinking mastermind and the topic of prams Grin

A camel one??? I haven't seen one of those. I thought they only came in black, charcoal and red.

Isn't camel the 'in' colour for the autumn too!

MrsDimples · 08/08/2010 21:45

thanks Guru's, you've made me happy, I can handle an imperfect fit til I've decided on what design saved up for a custom liner Grin

Sounds like you Guru's have been having a nice time double thumbs up

nicolamumof3 · 08/08/2010 22:00

carrielou2007 · 08/08/2010 22:00

Evening Smile

That sounds lovely 5inthebed, happy birthday to your ds Smile

Basl I'd love for someone to ask me about helping them with a pram you must be so proud!!!

I just had to google ipad as I didn't know what it was Grin

basl · 08/08/2010 22:20

Well i met an old friend at the party last night and she had the most adorable children. They were about ages with my sisters boy and girl so they came over to sit with us as they didn't really know anyone. Sean was in a cream puff because the boys [ben + Adam] and there dad were not invited. Long story but the couple who had the 25th do not like my brother in law. Shame as Sean looks a bit lost when the girls get up to dance and Daniel saying his name about 100 times. Anyhoo the boy started chatting to sean and the girl danced with Olivia and Lauren.
I got chatting to the wee boy and OMG how much do these kids know about Ipods, Iphones, Ipads. All different and do differnt things. I so want to get an iphone now.

How are you Carrie Smile Have you been using your pump yet???

basl · 08/08/2010 22:23

MrsD have you had a custom liner before? Very addictive they are Grin

carrielou2007 · 08/08/2010 22:51

Kids know everything about technology don't they!!!

Ds had a bottle of expressed milk tonight, I didn't say it was that to his half sister or she would be 'grossed out' about it (16 year old)

Saw my sister who I've not seen for a few weeks back from holiday in cornwall today and she told me to throw my jeans away as they looked comical!! Luckily I bought two pairs size 12 long in m and s yesterday Grin though to be fair they are fab jeans and I used to buy them anyway as they are just the best jeans ever!! My current jeans I don't have to unzip them when I need to go to the loo I can just pull them down Grin Hope I get my 3and a hlaf award tomorrow night Grin

basl · 08/08/2010 23:11

Carrie what does she mean by Comical?? Are they too big for you now?
So your Ds has no problems with a bottle then? Thats good for you going to work. My sisters dd refused anything any shape or form and gave my sister a total nightmare when she went back to work. Your dc sound so easy going Carrie Smile

So have you been and lost another 1/2 stone since we spoke last about starting on the diet again. Sad Envy I have stayed exactly the same. Not a pound. Don't understand it at all. I don't drink and i don't pick at the kids meals now and cut way back but nothing budging. Wonder whats up with me???

carrielou2007 · 08/08/2010 23:25

Yes, he's fine with a bottle, from the very first time I ever tried it dd was dreadful, when I went back to work with her my CM had to feed her EBM with a spoon for a few weeks before she caved in Grin

Jeans are now in the bin, it has taken me a few weeks to lose a bit more, a pound a week, two pound etc, but my tummy will always show the shape of having two dc's later in life so my bikini days are over Grin

My boss has lost two stone and he has done WW, I always did well on Atkins, think diff things suit diff people??

basl · 08/08/2010 23:36

I am going to try WW and see how i get on.
What an achievement Carrie. You should get your self in one of the magazines. I love the SW magazines. I am always buying them. Do you get them? I could always send you a pile of them if you like. Not that you need them by the sounds of things. Grin
